From 7:01 to 7:10....seriously hilarious!!! Lovely show. My only prob was defining a perfect guy as one who's gone to Harvard, Oxford, etc. R there no good schools in Ghana?
I think it's "normal " they don't know men that had their education in Ghana. They generally don't have the same living standards than those coming from US or other western countries.
I love this series. And it saddens me that I just found it. What I love most is the directing and production. I think this is the best African production I have seen.
Just discovered this and love it. I wish one day to visit Africa, to touch the soil my roots came from. I've put so many of my friends and relatives on to this series. I can't/won't stop watching .
I love watching these beautiful women with different personalities examine life in Ghana. I've played with the thought of relocating to Ghana several times. But watching this has shown me that I definitely have to step my coins up to do so.
Lol, they are not gonna find a man with all those silly expectations. Like perfect snore? Really?? Common girls. You might as well sculpt your dream guy out of stone and be forever alone
True, but even though we ( both men and women) find someone good for us, we focus more on their flaws than the good. it's just one of those flaws we all have as humans.
If you ever do another season please work on the writing...everything seemed so contrived...all the men are western educated, all the men have some bodily function defect, the characters are one dimensional. It's such an incredible coincidence that a group of returnees are all dating the same type of guys...this is kinda lazy in the writing department.
I love it...A ghanaian friend introduce me to this and I must say, I enjoyed every bit of it. wonderful...I'm definitely donating...Please keep this going....I'm definitely visiting Ghana....#AnAfricanCity
I find this refreshing, but c'mon! These girls are silly! Dumping men like worn underwears. He snores, buy earplugs it will be your personal joke as a couple. He sweats? Pssh! that is hot, jump in the shower together after or switch to a position where he isn't sweating on you! Some women are dealing with real problem like lies and disloyalty in their relationships.
Nana said something like this: "You will be able to tolerate those African dumps only when you've found your great love -- and somehow, *your heart will know the difference*" I agree with her; there's a gut feeling in all of us -- her's just didn't align with the man. And come on, not every relationship needs to be triumphant in duration.
News flash this is also how Africans act. "Native African" also go abroad to live and in doing so are shaped by those experiences. Jst because we hv the opportunity to live outside of the continent does not make us no longer Africans. Furthermore there are thousands of African movies and shows that depicts African that grow up and live only on the continent who act noticeably different from these girls. However there are not that many shows that depict the experiences of African people who have grown up outside of the continent but still feel a certain affinity to it. So if you want some "Native Africans" perhaps you should go find some of those shows/movies. Trust me they are out there.
I watch those too. Its funny though cuz most of what i run into are movies of Africans trying to act American. The Black Americans over here such as myself are looking to return back to Africa and to adopt the cultures of old that our ancestors come from. It looks like we will be disappointed.
I think thats a by gone era to be honest. The fact that you have been abroad changes you in ways you are probably not cognizant of. So, to think you will be able to return to the person you were before you left hardly seem realistic. I agree with you that alot of shows and movies out there do have alot of africans trying to act american. However for some people that is not really the case. Having lived outside of the continent changes them and i think this might be the case for these girls and what they are portraying might be what is honest for them. By you saying that you want them to act "native" (what ever that means) is essentially asking them to deny there experiences and put on an act. Thats what i am essentially refuting
I didn't say I want them to act native. I like the show. But All four of the women starring in the show act like white girls. They act like pampered spoiled princesses, they act like american women. The show is clearly centered on the fact that they have lived outside of the land and have returned I understand that. I really didn't think my comments were a big deal. At the same time though its becoming harder and harder to find things to watch they portray black people of any continent having virtuous notable character and personalities. Its not a big deal I don't care if anyone cares about my opinion. I'm fully aware of how unimportant it is. I just said it just cause. I like Ngozi even though she's naive.
I don't see whats surprising about it. People are a product of their environment ! Am sure if this same women were around black Americans they would probably be acting ghetto and hood like them.
Brown Berry I just send an email to Ebonylife TV for them to take a look on this show i hope the do. if you want do so as well here is their email: jolaoluwa@mediaandentertainmentcityafrica.com
This is great! I love these ladies, love the fashion and especially love getting to see "an African City ". Too many in the US are only exposed to National Geographic or safari Africa and they have no idea how or where regular Africans live their daiky lives.
Entertaining stuff!! And also a great platform for acting/film-making talent that Hollywood traditionally ignores. Keep up the good work An African City
Am so much in love with u all am living in Sweden but no one has ever tell that beautiful part of Africa as u guys doing it's just amazing program I love it 🌹🌹❤️🇬🇲
Im just curious as to why they use the work Africa so much as oppose to Ghana. I know that people like to refer to Africa as if its a country but people don't say, Im from North America or Im from Asia or Europe, they use very specific spaces and I would just like to see African countries be recognize as such
+An African City Just had a look at the website. An astonishing work. I don't understand why the world can't enjoy African couture of such quality and beauty. You should make agreements with moviemakers, artists and tv celebrities all around Africa and abroad to spread this work!

I'm from the US and love seeing and supporting sisters all around the globe. Congrats on the show - you all are beautiful and talented!

True, but even though we ( both men and women) find someone good for us, we focus more on their flaws than the good. it's just one of those flaws we all have as humans.
snores are soooooo annoying though!especially when you've had a long day.Cant stand a snoring man!..ah-ah!
No wonder these chicks are single! Good show though.
Hahahaha! Yeah, probably!
+Pamela Bey This is what happens to most women who travel to the West. They become shallow.
nothing wrong with being single. ahahaha
Jos Jos True but why are they complaining about being single?
+Jerry Incandenza I think society has conditioned people to think marriage is like the best thing ever and we should strive to get a partner. sick
nana yaa, if youre reading this, I want that top with the blue skirk. I just have to get my life together first to be able to wear it hahaha
Nana Yaa was wearing Ameyo: facebook.com/pages/Am%C3%A9yo/144237939029683 - check it out!

This is a good show but damn this is how American girls act. Show the Native Africans

enjoying the series. but true talk. the issues they r complaining about r so shallow. really, they need to grow up. a bit disappointing
That's the whole point. They shallow things only matter, because they're not the "great" love, the one & only.
I'm really diggin this webseries.
This episode was funny and relatable.
Keep up the good art :)
This is great! I love these ladies, love the fashion and especially love getting to see "an African City ". Too many in the US are only exposed to National Geographic or safari Africa and they have no idea how or where regular Africans live their daiky lives.
You guys should show how you are styled, hair, makeup, clothing....I want Naana's off the shoulder dress and that last hair accessory. Awesome!
Great idea! We should definitely work on that! In the meantime, Nana Yaa's dress was by Christie Brown: www.christiebrownonline.com/ - Thanks!

Absolutely fabulous!
Entertaining stuff!! And also a great platform for acting/film-making talent that Hollywood traditionally ignores. Keep up the good work An African City

The episodes get even better! Does anyone know what Ghanaian rapper is playing in the love making scene with the "dump" boyfriend?
Skillions Records is behind the music. You can find out more here: facebook.com/jayso.skillion - the song is called "Pizza and Burger" :-)
I was so weirded out when I went to London and everyone referred to the restroom as the toilet like even the signs say toilets I hated that lol
The soundtrack is hot in all the episodes. You should post a link, so we can explore some of these great artists.
