- Welcome to one of my greatest videos! Today I built a giant maze inside of the game Meet Your Maker and invited 5 friends to run it with a prize given to the fastest successful runner! So welcome to my nightmare creation as I have built the worst video game maze! The challenge is simple you must run the maze and collect the genetic material and escape! However I have hidden endless loops and dead ends into this infinite maze. To make things more challenging meet your maker like mario maker has traps and these traps will instantly defeat the runner forcing them to lose progress and potentially restart the entire maze! And today we will have 5 of my friends run the maze. They are!

They will face a mentally challenges and psychological horror at what faces them and if they manage it and beat Troutman they will be regarded as legends! So it is up to them to speedrun the maze or maze speedrun not sure what the correct term is but yes they will do brilliantly! What you have seen here today is part of a fantastic perfectly balanced series on youtube where I go from game to game and break them with wacky exploits to gain things like unlimited gold. My favorite Torture Maze I made wasn't a maze. It was a narrow, cement walkway that took approximately 30 minutes to get to the Genes. Once people had to walk back, after another 30 minutes of nothing, there was one dart trap that'd shoot them from behind, making them lose an hour of their life.
Due to the lack of traps, it was in slotted in the easiest Category.
That's an amazing idea lol

I really wish spiff put a segment at the end of the video where he talks to everyone and tells them what place they got, then reveals to the two who backtracked that there was a secret exit. Would've been a minute and a half of pure content gold
I'm pretty sure that they completed the maze in diferent days. But yeah he could drop a rating at the end to be able to see easier who got in first.
Can we take a moment to aknowledge that 1coolerguy's second attempt only took him just over 5 minutes? That was actually insane.
Right? He must have an incredible sense of direction.
I actually thought he would be the guy to be the fastest, without knowing any one of them, but thought in the mid he wouldn't be that fast, while being stuck so long at the second section.
But then he really nailed it at the end. That's impressive as fuck.😮
Spiff making a greenhouse that grows human suffering isn't unusual at all, since Spiff basically lives off of that stuff.
The pain makes the tea leaves grow better

The fact that the cooler guy completed the maze TWICE and still got first really shows his skill.

The funniest thing is that in the first few clips we see the robot’s path heading to the left indicating that there is a hole there in the wall and you could complete the whole maze by just not going in through the front door rather find the opening somewhere on the wall😂
It's even simpler. Just grapple up the outside and go in through the secret exit.

@@TakahiroShinsaku Slight correction. The holographic walls are non solid however the robot can't path through them as this could lead to exploits and frustration. If a player gets close or an attack hits it it vanishes. Revealing whatever it was hiding.
However. If you set it to second wave. Which means the trap can only function after the genmat has been grabbed. The holograms are solid until the genmat is grabbed. They cannot be broken or passed through in any way until second wave.
This lets clever map makers do some exploits. Like creating a bridge you can get across at first but on your way back is useless to you. And the robot can even cross it on first wave. IF there is a secondary path for it to take in second wave that is at least 1 block longer.
Lastly because of those features. If you somehow know it's a hologram and the robot is walking on it. It means there's another path somewhere. Also if you go in a base from an obvious entrance and you have to jump to get anywhere. Chances are it's a false path. The robot REQUIRES a walkable path to the genmat or the base can't be raided.
Also just a psa to everyone in general. Don't shoot randomly at every obsidian block. Your crossair turns red if it's a hologram! Don't waste your shots. You can also see it shifting slightly if you look at the hologram closely.
If Spiff does this to his friends, I shudder to think what happens to his enemies. That's straight horror movie material.

Spiff has got to be one of the most wholesome TH-camrs, most people that get to the point hes at never really interact with the viewers its nice to see he still does. Love the content man!

You know what would be even more aMAZing? If all players were doing the race at the same time, without seeing each other (using different paths or being invisible to each other) and they stepped on platforms that opened or closed some maze passages and even activated enemies, so that they could torture each other each other without outside interference. I would call it a self-powered dynamic torture maze.
That concept is... aMAZing! I would love to ser it in action

Based solely on their thumbnail, he looks likes he's already realized that life itself is a neverending maze of confusion, disappointment, and failure. Honestly one of your best if not the best video (in my view) you made regarding a game. I cant belive how much time it must have taken to one: build all of that and then two: sit trough the probably three to four hours recording the runs and giving commentary. Really well done with a game that was basically built for you.

Can we all stop for a second and appreciate the fact that 1CoolerGuy's second run through began at 16 minutes and ended at 23 minutes?
Absolutely. I was expecting him to maybe shave off 3-5 minutes. Dude has to be part goose to have that sort of sense of direction.

actually this episode is fun to watch, its exciting to see players struggling to solve the maze. And that shortcut at the end surprises me alot, imagine someone miss it and walk the long way back, it would be hella funny. Hope Spiff can do more videos like this.
The real sadness is that we didn't get to see the first two runners discover that there was an easy pathway. I'm a bit surprised that so many did to be honest.

My first build in this game was in fact a maze. It wasn't as big or magnificent as yours but it was designed with lots of redirects and dead ends. This maze of yours is teaching me a lot about maze making. Hehe... torture mazes are fun.
I try to avoid being too brutal, I want people to have a chance and not just give up out of frustration, so I never put up super complex mazes or killrooms (at least not that can't be beaten by smart play). If it's not fun for me to run through and test it probably won't be enjoyable for anyone else.

Reminds me of the maps I used to make in Timesplitters 3. Full of inescapable rooms, teleporting death drops and a single door that leads into a narrow labyrinth with a single overpowered enemy in that you couldn't fight because you had no weapons.
My favorite though was the cube maze I built based around the movie, Cube. The exit was the room next to where you started, but to get there you needed to find 4 keys and pull 2 switches by exploring 3 floors, 16 rooms, and several winding corridors all colored different with random strobing effects for maximum disorientation. Most of the rooms had 4 way exits but most were locked so it became the windiest maze I could manage with the limits of the builder, and trying to remember which doors each thing unlocked was the tricky part. I wanted to make it so picking up the keys would also switch all the room colors but the game wouldn't allow it.
None of my friends wanted to play my maps though... Duno why.
You know what would be an amazing troll? Have the labyrinth go back out on the other side to an area that looks identical to the entrance but you need to cross it to get to the end.
and also make sure the entrance and exit are on the same side and (physically, not walk-ably) nearby so that you cant tell them apart with a mental compass or by counting the turns
Someone should hire you to build the death mazes. Also I think your editor deserves more tea
