About cantrips: I would chose one good dmg cantrip and some utiliy cantrips. Since you can chose 4 here, you could go 2/2. For damage: Very good are necrotic and ice cantrips. The firebold cantrip gives the most damage output by numbers, but it does only damage, where for example ice gives also some control effect by slowing enemies or freezing them. Wet enemies suffer double damage from cold. Shocking grasp could be good, to get out of tight situations, but it is not ranged and gives not su much dmg. Utility: Very good is mage hand. Minor illusion is in some situations real helpful to distract enemies. Some like Blade Ward because it can help to survive when things get messy, but I never used it. In some situations light cantrips can be good, but for its best usage, you must be rather experienced with some special builds. Friends is good but also dangerous when you are in Tactician mode or above.

i love playing a tiefling in act 1, literally i find act 1 less interesting when you aren't a tiefling because you miss out on so much tiefling specific dialogue- have fun! interesting multiclass decisions! I have Wyll multiclassed as a warlock/draconic sorcerer and on another run shadowheart as a life cleric/fighter combo. i never even thought of multiclassing her with bard it's a rly cool mashup i wouldn't have considered on my own
