When I did the code in Fractured But Whole, I was wondering what was going on. I am a fan of the series and KNEW what Cartman would make the secret code to his base.
I like the later one in the church where if you do the same thing he says "Hey Tom Brady, you want to play the game or do you just wanna be known as a smug, cheating bitch for the rest of your life?" XD
Same. I just knew that would be Cartman's password, got it right, game called me a cheater. No...not cheater. Just Cartman is that predictable. xD
If you're good enough to farm the Bovine Defense Force that early in the Witcher 3, you deserve the reward
I quickly found out that even if you kill them it will infinitely spawn them until u die
In New game plus I farmed this for 2 straight hours until the game crashed, either way I didn't need the money I was doing it for fun!
Not to mention that, when the Tax Collector comes in-game, if you're honest about it, you'll even get a little reward!
In Hearts of Stone they also made that specific Chort a Gwent card. In the area where you attend the wedding, you can find the card inside the attic of one of the buildings.
The joke is that Cartman is dressed as Bill Belichick
The dying from a dirty telephone bit may be an homage to The Restaurant at the End of the Universe.

Not that i don't appreciate them, but does he really gotta do it every single video? I would think it starts to sound a bit empty if he just does it every time he presents something almost like a "catchphrase" from an outdated but still enjoyable sitcom.

On the original XBOX version of "Conker's Bad Fur Day," entering a valid code at the cheat menu (complete with a little devil guy) would sometimes result in him calling you out for it (e.g.: "You cheating b*****d!"). Naturally, the codes still worked just fine. 😈
Destroy all Humans also had them call out when you cheated.
The first Vectorman did something similar to Final Fight. Doing ANYTHING that constituted cheating, even in-game warps, resulted in a "now go back and beat it without cheating" screen.

I believe rare with banjo kazooie were the only ones that really punished you for cheating.
Yeah. Everything else is barely a slap on the wrist compared to losing everything, haha.
Vector man on sega megadrive: use the "C,A,L,L, A, C,A,B" cheat and you turn into a invincible murder mouse arrow to all enemies apart from bosses which you can only beat by playing as normal, when you finish the game you'll be rewarded by a congratulations bad ending which ends with saying "now try without cheating" or something similar all I know is they knew what I did lol
The original Wasteland game had some spectacular anti-cheat methods in their "appendix book". They had an entire fabricated storyline in that book for players that tried to get critical info by reading ahead. They also had fake password in their that would absolutely backfire if used in-game. Really neat... and from the 80s.
I remember doing to code puzzle and getting it right first try, only for cartman to pop up, I didn't even look it up as well it just clicked to me as something cartman would use as a passcode lmao
My worst cheating backfire was Final Fantasy X. I used game shark to give my aeons infinite health but at the end of the game u have to kill the aeons but u can't because they got infinite health!
why would you give them unlimited health? All they need is 255 magic, strength, magic defense and evasion. everything else is nice, but not needed. those 4 stats being maxed makes you basically a god.
I kind of did the same thing for FFVIII. I hated that game so much that I just wanted to beat it and be done with it. I used my GameShark to basically break my way through the game. Paydays went from miniscule to CEO proportions and I hit level 99 in the first area. At any rate it has been a long time but I wound up buffing the final boss encounter to a ludicrous amount. I tried for hours to beat him in vane and my last fight before I found a very stupid solution to beat him lasted well over 2 hours. I used every item at my disposal, all my magic, attack items, just everything until I had one set of items remaining...Hero Drink. I restarted the fight and kept my main character alive with constant infinite Hero Drinks. I beat it and never played it again.
In the Witcher 3, isn't there a Tax collector that comes up later that accuses you of killing livestock or something.
I’ve experienced both and I don’t know where the difference is cuz I’ve had multiple editions on multiple platforms.
Yes once you’ve got 35,000 crowns in your inventory. I built up all of that money doing normal stuff, and then basically spent it all on that quest for helping the Oferi Runesmith build his forge.
In the PS2 version of Psychonauts, if you put in a cheat code successfully, you hear Raz's dad from Meat Circus yell "YOU CHEATED!!"
For number 6, Cartman is actually decked out like New England Patriots Head Coach Bill Belichick who coached Tom Brady for 20 years and both were caught cheating multiple times.

Having only played BOTW, I didn't expect to enjoy the Link's Awakening remaster as much as I did. Kind of wish the other games of this style/era were remastered.

Absolutely
People will say what they will, but given that I've seen people who go out of their way to tear others down for feeling that way, it's probably more common than you'd think. It stands to reason that people being attacked for feeling positive because of someone else's words would react strongly to the negativity of the attacking *other person's words.* It's fine, we all need to hear it, sometimes. Ignore the ones who try to take that feeling from you, just remember that Jules is still a personality on a screen and you can avoid most of the side effects if he ever quits. You are allowed, no matter what, to take your pleasures where you get them, if you don't have to take them from another.
i feel uncomfortable too because its expected now and we got so used to it and not hearing it at the end of this video seems very strange

@@sinisterwombat3128 That's where I was. It's not hard to get out of that place, once you decide you'd rather suffer life than avoid living it. Numb and bitter are signs that one is unwell, and that means it's time to get to work fixing that mess that's been festering in the back of one's mind. Tackling the biggest pile of crap in of the way will open up the greatest amount of view, but any effort not to waste a day is enough to reduce those feelings of... well, there isn't much way to describe it other than *lack.*
A *lack* of fulfillment comes from within, the words can only stop meaning something the same way they *used* to mean nothing to me, by not acknowledging other's perceptions as valid. That's an expressive problem. You have to *ignore* someone for their words to be meaningless. Nobody makes you do that.

Little sad you didn't mention that one of the cheat codes from Doom in Heretic turned you into a chicken and all you could do was peck at your enemies feet for minimal damage.

Yeah all you have to do to guess it is know who Cartman is and it becomes obvious.
Trying to use cheat engine in Un-Epic would lead to being set to 1 hp or being outright murdered.
A little correction there, Richard "Mad-as-a-Hatter" Aplin, wasn't the designer of Final Fight itself, only the Amiga port, and the fake endings were an easter egg he put for fun. Better yet, he also programmed in an entire rant as yet another easter egg. This is the sort of thing he did in all of his ports.

My favorite way of shaming cheaters was just how stupid the codes were in some games. In the original Dark Forces on PC the god mod was literally: "LAIMLAME" or "LA I'm lame" the LA being LucasArts which all codes started with LA.
When I played South Park and saw the door code I just thought what would cartman say and then get call a cheater fucking hilarious

Here is one from an older game: there is a code in Afterlife that gives 10M pennies, in which you can repeat this code four times and nothing happens, until you use the code a fifth time. If you make it rain five times, then you will spawn in the Death Star into your little slices of heaven and hell which will randomly nuke your structures, which could then spell much worse happenings such as an endless war between the two realms as unemployed angels and demons begin to run amok.
Twisted Insurrection has a deformed hellish face icon to be displayed by the names of cheaters, the devs surely had quite a bit of fun putting it in there.
activision knew about hackers but only decided to fix the problem now and i’m guessing cause they probably wanted to end the game first and test out how to get rid of the hackers when the time came

This is newer than this video. In Deltarune chapter 2 the secret boss as a exploit where you can do more attacks. The dev Toby Fox made it so if you used this the boss will get mad and deal more damage to you.

In the Witcher 3, after you kill 6 cows and it spawns a lv 27 Chort... and you happen to KILL the Chort... ANOTHER one will spawn after the first!
Wait a minute there Jewels the Final Fight entry is only applicable to one version of the game. It's a port I never played as I live in the states and it was for one of those microcomputers that were huge in the UK. It's not a bad entry but in cases like these you should let us all know the specific platform It's being played on. For example, those cheats don't exist for the Snes and Sega CD ports of the game.
Fun Fact: Even though I don't remember the Final Fight port you speak of I have seen the endings before. Both Cody and Haggar got it real bad but Guy his ending was okay. I think he dies in his sleep at 60 or 70 years old. I guess the programmer really liked Guy.

At least these are mostly fun. Rockstar have become so humourless that they implemented cheats for RDR2’s main campaign, but made them pointless to use, since they disable saving.
Well yeah, because they're just supposed to be used for fun. Not to actually "cheat" thru the game.
@@Tyr_Magnus then disable achievements like they did with GTA & RDR1, or allow cheats after game completion, like with a new game +
@@SnapGrapplePop but just disabling saving works better than either of those things as far as allowing people to use them just for fun. And they probably don't want a bunch of complaints from people who got a cheat stuck on their playthrough cuz they saved with it on. Even the old GTAs said not to save with cheats on. It didn't make them "pointless" back then. The point was to have some fun then go back to the game.
@@Tyr_Magnus again, this doesn’t rule out NG+ or allowing cheats after completion. It’s a 60hr game that people might not want to start from scratch on after already going through it once. Add the fact that it was a memory hog, and they’ve guaranteed that pretty much everyone deleted it as soon as they completed it (unless they tried RDRO, which wouldn’t have entertained most people for very long

Tbh cheats makes the game for fun and adds more replay value for me that’s why I beat re5 like 25 times and that’s a game where you only have unlimited ammo and I still play it today
in todays gaming age those added endings would be DLC and charged 9.99 per ending.

haha yeah the witcher 3 bovine was fun to take on as to me it was the best early game boss and it may not be worth it terms of item or anything but to say you killed it was worth it

With the Link one, being electrocuted on returning to the shop is not helpful, I grant you, but the "being called Thief" aspect is easily countered - just name yourself something WORSE than "Thief" at the start of the game (e.g. "Murderer" or "Donald Trump"), then Thief becomes an upgrade!

The only one that handles it properly imo was the crash bandicoot one.
Making the cheese strat become a small Easter egg that doesn’t affect gameplay. Since these were all single player games I really don’t see the issue, if people are pussies in single player games let them be pussies in those games, as long as they don’t try and cheat in online multiplayer then it’s a-o-k in my book. (Unless it’s speedruning or for some competition)
