    Your videos are always so useful. Very clear, lots of time-saving and practical tips. Not a lot of filler blah-blah. Love them! :) Cheers

    Just in time. I'm new at InDesign. I was getting frustrated with not understanding how text frames behave in a document but your video cleared up everything. Thank you so much.

    Great tutorial, thanks! But what about the option of the two column option in one text box? That's what I have been using, is that not a good idea?

    I love your tutorials. I have a question: Is it possible to create a two-column text layout with three-column footnotes at the bottom of each page?

    • @beckysgraphicdesign

      I'm a little rusty on my footnotes knowledge, but yes, I think you could do this using parent pages and the proper set-up of styles.

    You are wonderful! I have been battling so with text frames thinking I had the measure of them meantime! The one thing I have noticed is in all books the bottom line of text is even - mine are not. I have followed you rules like gospel, and it makes everything lovely but at the bottom of the frame, sometimes I see the bottom line seems to be different not aligned on the pages, is there a way to do that so that everything is even?? Many thanks.

      You're talking about your running header or your footer, and as you flip through the pages quickly, there is a slight discrepancy in the visual location of the text? Yes, this common to notice, but will not be seen in the print version. Those items are mathematically on the same line, but InDesign shows them slightly differently, whether on purpose or not, I'm not sure.

    Very nice tutorial!
    Could you please explain: at the 7:10 mark (at the start of Placing the Text into the Primary Frames), you do something to move the existing text frame off the page, making all of the following content into overset text. How did you do this? Thanks in advance.

      I believe you're talking about when I cut the text out of its original frame, then pasted it, allowing it to generate a new (overset) frame for itself.

    I have an issue. When I add my own document, the whole thing does not automatically add to the rest of pages.

    • @beckysgraphicdesign
      @beckysgraphicdesign  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      And this is after you've added the Primary text frames and enabled Smart Text Reflow? Are there "standard" text boxes covering up your Primary ones?

      @@beckysgraphicdesign lol. Idk. But I'll check with everything you mentioned

      I had this same issue too. It was not automatically reflowing

      Just came back to say it worked. But it took a real long while.
