That 1” gap would be perfect for some mood lighting. White when hanging out and red when it’s squirrel tie.

I absolutely love how you go the extra mile to make things look nice. If your going to do it, you might as well do nice and right the first time. Looks absolutely stunning ❤

Have you considered using at least 1 lag bolt on the railing posts? Seems that people will most likely lean on that railing and being that the posts are mounted on the exterior of the deck framing, the person leaning on it will create a decent amount of outward force. I would just worry about someone leaning on those rails and ths screws pulling out. May not happen immediately, but could occur slowly over time. I would highly consider putting at least 1 lag bolt on each post.

You could’ve cut a channel into the 4x4 like you did the 2x4 and “boxed” in the wire and hid your cut ends and strengthened the edges on the side. Looks great love your videos!

Watching your hand on that table saw during that notching process had my pucker factor at a 10.

Haha I was very careful, but it’s definitely not the safest way to do it b

Another idea for the paint for the structural framing is the vertical posts paint black and the horizontal band paint white. It’s definitely going to be the best looking Coyote ugly blind!

Would be cool if you put a Firemans Pole behind the portion of the railing that isnt complete yet. Tactical way to get down and flip your RC cars!

I always make the back side a hair bigger so it doesn't bind up. Dang 6" screws thru the post for the rails. I'd just pre drill w counter sink and side screw them to post but that will definitely hold good. Looks great!

I think it would look cool if the deck framing was black and the braces white. The stairs stringers black with white steps. Might be too much work, and the white steps will probably get too dirty anyways, but I think it could turnout pretty cool like that

  • @kenclark3615

Better if the shed stays tan ( not to mention it would weather better than white ), and that "detail" between the top rail and the sub top rail would look cooler than leaving off the top rail.
