I would agree, but no medium hatch is designed to accommodate 4 tall adults comfortably so that is why I query why reviewers constantly go to the effort to inform us this more than obvious point. We are looking for points of difference between it's competitors. Sometimes these vehicles need to tow a heavy trailer as well, but I don't think a reviewer telling me that this vehicle is not really suited to do so is really going to influence which medium size hatch I am going to purchase.
You are dead right about Hyundai and Kia dominating affordable warm cars for the masses. You would only be paying for a badge if you went for a more expensive european and the Japanese just don't have the spice they once we're able to do well for a reasonable price
Really enjoyed the informative review. But I shake my head every time I hear a reviewer who is 190-193cm tall complaining about the lack of headroom or the leg room in the back of a Corolla, Golf, I30 etc. We are watching these videos to find out things that we do not already know.
Nice video! Just curious which compact sedan do you think would win Hyundai i30 n line sedan or Kia cerato gt sedan? I have ordered the gt and it is coming this month but to be honest i like the look of the i30 n line sedan more it looks sharp and so attractive
Honestly they are quite similar in many ways. Personally I would go for the i30 sedan - I just think the look is a bit more edgy, but in terms of how they drive, they're really pretty similar. Thanks for watching and enjoy your new car!
Im about to take delivery of my THIRD GT in 4.5 years. The first - a hatch - was stolen. I got a sedan next, but missed the practiclity of the hatch, so getting a hatch again 😊
Nice review mate. Quick question - did you find that while driving the car had a bit of a buzz sound from the engine? (Not the fake engine noise) I have the exact same model and colour you're reviewing here, and I love it, but I find it sounds quite tinny when revving up (and when down shifting to slow down) I've never driven one of these 1.6T - but from what ive been told thats just their sound. Cheers mate
Hi James. I don't recall there being a buzzing noise from the engine although I did review that car a few months ago and my memory is a little hazy, but I'm sure I would have mentioned it if I heard it. Thanks for watching!
Well, I do have a MY19 sedan version... love the car, however was thinking to "upgrade" to a sportier car, such as I30 N sedan/upcoming VW T-ROC R/Audi A4 Avant S line (even though I carry a family of 3, including myself)... but the more I see the Cerato GT reviews, the more I plan to postpone the idea. lol
I'm a big fan of the i30 sedan, but that's just more about its looks. It's a very similar car to drive compared to the Cerato GT in N-Line spec. I believe the N sedan is amazing. Audi A4 Avant is a good car, but I thought it lacked a bit of character. Thanks for watching!
Did the seating position become an issue for you? As in your hair touching the top? I’m 185cm and wonder how I’ll go with that sunroof. Have test driven the previous GT and that was ok. Thoughts?
The only thing holding me back from this car is the 7 speed dry clutch DCT. How reliable will it be over time, will it fail well before the seats wear out?
@@4wheelsandaseat I wish there was an option of a manual that generally will outlast the engine. I don't trust this dry clutch stuff, only time will tell.
Apparently there is a legal dispute between Google or Apple (no one is saying which) and Hyundai/Kia over the maps in the native navigation. Until it’s resolved wireless has been disabled. It doesn’t apply to smaller screens so entry level models all get wireless connectivity and higher spec models don’t.
Lol, I get you! I rebadged mine with the South Korean logo, which looks like a Lexus logo.. And I took off the Cerato badge, because I thought it a less fussy look.
Both are really very similar to drive, but personally I’d pick the i30 - the styling is more interesting, but then the Kia’s warranty is two years longer. It’s a tough call! Thanks for watching.
Finally! A car reviewer that shows what the tail lights look like at night!!
They're one of the best bits of design in a lot of cars! Thanks for watching.
Excellent review and it brings a huge smile to my face every day, awesome car!
Thanks Claudia. Glad to hear you’re enjoying your car!
Great detailed review
Just got the My22 GT Sedan and we love it
Thanks for watching! Hope you enjoy your new car.
I'm 6'5, and have no issues sitting behind the wheel

Good review mate! You sold me one!
That's awesome! Hope you enjoy it. Thanks for watching!

The Hyundai/Kia group really are the Toyota of this decade. Great cars that are great to drive with good design. Thanks for watching!
You really are a discerning car driver unlike those who chase price tags
Great car review! Wish there was a manual version
Yes - that would be awesome! Thanks for watching.
Great review 👍🏻 just need to work on the wind suppression, which I am sure you already knew after the editing stage! 😅
The joys of solo filmmaking! Thanks for watching!
Great Review 👌
Thanks for watching Phillip!

Fair enough, but sometimes tall people need ot sit in the back too :)

Nice! You're a big fan! I would choose the hatch too. The sedan just looks a bit plain to me. Thanks for watching!
Nice review mate.

Yes I felt was just a little too tall for it, but you’re 5cm shorter than me so I think you’d be fine. Thanks for watching!
The only thing holding me back from this car is the 7 speed dry clutch DCT. How reliable will it be over time, will it fail well before the seats wear out?
Well it does come with a 7 year warranty so there’s that…
@@4wheelsandaseat I wish there was an option of a manual that generally will outlast the engine. I don't trust this dry clutch stuff, only time will tell.
Yes but what's the 0-100klm/h time in the Kia GT????
What's the USB cable Vs Wireless Carplay/AA issue on the newer 10.25" display?

Did the Cerato GT have any ambient RGB lighting? Saw the Forte has it.
For memory I don’t think it does at least not in that spec. Thanks for watching!
Nah.
Not in Aus
do you think the steering wheel bit stiffer side?
Yes especially in Sport mode.
I pull up to the servo or car wash and everyone asks me what car it is haha. My22 gt cerato bro!
Nice. They’re a great car. Thanks for watching!
yeah, it turns heads!
Lol, I get you! I rebadged mine with the South Korean logo, which looks like a Lexus logo..

Can you drive at 100km/hr with the sunroof open ?
I don't see why not, but I didn't try...
i want this car so bad
Cerato gt or i30 sedan n line premium?
Both are really very similar to drive, but personally I’d pick the i30 - the styling is more interesting, but then the Kia’s warranty is two years longer. It’s a tough call! Thanks for watching.
Yeahhh... why the rear indicators so low?! LOL
Strange design choice... Thanks for watching!
because it rails on wheels! :)
Horrible for tall people like myself though.. absolutely KILLS my legs
The struggle is real! Thanks for watching.
I'm 6'5 and have no issues driving mine.
@@tonyhancock5467 Bullshit
You need to re-watch your own video back. Your head isn't even close to touching the roof.
It's a very overrated thing. I'm 183 cm, and have LOTS of headroom.
