I absolutely love my Clarisonic for making my skin feels so soft and Clean & Young. It has been a true game-changer for me. I bought mine at Costco 6 years ago and it's still going strong. It is my favorite item in my skin care routine for how effective it is. I will even travel internationally with it because I just can't be without it.
Good for you! Apparently, my machine vibrates when I turn it on but the brush head does not spin anymore.. I've called Clarisonic company and they cannot do anything about it but recommend that i should purchase a new one. ..Bummer!!..Not sure if I would want to purchase another one through this company as I'm not very impressed with their customer service. The machine still look as new because i don't use it regularly.
Surprisingly, I really like the brush head for foundation. I don't use it on an everyday basis. I love Clarisonic for cleansing my skin. I also do not replace my brushes are often as recommended, but I don't use it daily. Enjoyed. Blessings...MaryEllen
I’ve been using the same cashmere brush for 7 years. Each week I soak it in warm water with a sterilising tablet. Even though it’s a super soft brush .... it’s the only one I use.....it’s in perfect condition. I take care of my stuff. My Clarisonic Plus unit is now 10 years old and looks like new. I never get any nasty build up as I remove my makeup first and rinse my brush and unit in the shower after I’ve finished. I quite fancy buying the pedicure brush.
I use my foundation brush head a lot , with different foundations . I love it , so fast and flawless. I bought my daughter and daughter Inlaw one for Christmas and they love them. I also use my foundation head for cream contour. For cleansing I do use the cashmere head.
I am extremely dry, so have to watch out for cleansers and cleansing - very much so. I use water only in the morning & used to do oil at night when I still wore make-up (in my 20s). I am so full of freckles that foundation looks totally odd on me, I have come to realize in later decades; there's that. ;)
Your skin is gorgeous! I just got my Clarisonic, love it, can’t wait to see results. I don’t wear makeup so I wouldn’t use the makeup brush. So far I’m using the radiance brush. I would love to have skin like yours but I’ll bet that’s genetics too! Thank you for the info!
I just got a deal on the Clarisonic Mia Smart I got a gift set with the foundation brush, Face Massager and Eye thing and it came with the Radiance. I also bought extra the Cashmere but haven't tried it yet. I have really dry flaky skin and don't really wear makeup to work. I probably won't replace every 3 months and sometimes will just use once a day will see how I like it and the difference I can tell in my skin. I use Lancôme Milky Cream Cleanser and have on of their exfoliate scrubs I use a couple times a week too. They gave me samples of this serum and moisturizer and not sure which brush head to put on to get that into your skin better the massager maybe? Mine just came over the weekend only used it once yesterday. I had a regular Mia that broke and researched Clarisonic and Amazon and chose Amazon cause I got it quicker.
I wish that Clarisonic was more specific on the differences in the brush heads. Like what makes them different. I have dry sensitive skin. The cashmere cleanse head doesn’t irritate my skin but I wonder if it doesn’t really do anything to deep clean. I’m using the sensitive head now and it’s way too hard and irritates my skin. I was torn between sensitive and radiance and couldn’t tell which one would be softer. I assumed sensitive but maybe I’m wrong. I jus want them to have a chart!
They do have a chart of sorts on their website. I am positive the cashmere heads are cleaning your skin. The sonic action should be working your cleanser deeper into your pores. The radiance head is probably somewhat similar to the sensitive. I started with the sensitive and remember it being about the same. So if sensitive is too rough the radiance may be as well.
Hello! I just wanted to let you know that I experienced the same thing with the "Sensitive" brush head. It was too scratchy/rough and my skin did not like it. I have also used the Cashmere brush head and love it. However, I was curious & tried the Radiance head and found it was much softer/more gentle on my skin than the Sensitive head. No harsh scratching at all! I also think the Radiance brush head does cleanse my skin slightly more than the Cashmere does, but not enough to say you have to get it. I have combo/dry sensitive skin and use my Clarisonic nightly, so in the winter when my skin is drier I use the Cashmere brush head and in the summer when I am oilier I use the Radiance brush head. If you are curious and want to try the Radiance head, it is definitely much softer than the Sensitive head in my opinion. Hope this helps! This is my first comment on TH-cam ever!!
I also found the sensitive brush head to be super harsh. The radiance is wayyyy softer in my opinion. I just used the cashmere head tonight and love it!!
This is such a helpful video Melanie! I love my Clarisonic but I honestly don't know which brush heads to get. I've always thought about the Deep pore but wondered if it would be too harsh for my skin. I've never understood what radiant meant either. And I felt like sensitive would be way too gentle for me. Thanks again for such a great video
I bought an Olay brush first just to test my devotion to using a sonic brush before I made the leap to investing in a Clarisonic! I think it cost me £20,came with 2heads, a cleanser and an exfoliator. Having proven my devotion I bought a Clarisonic mia....... I absolutely love it, but I’ve just realised that I don’t know which brush they come with! Does anyone know?! I think it’s black. I’ve heard really good things about the foundation brush, I imagine you can get a better finish with it but I mostly use powder foundation! I worry about buying new heads online....is it safer to buy direct from Clarisonic... I imagine there are probably loads of copies for sale online?? xx
The brushes from Olay and many of the other companies are usually spin brushes. Not sonic brushes. I've tried several that I purchased and even had some sent to me. None compare to my clarisonic. Usually new clarisonics come with the sensitive head. That is likely what you have. Do not buy knock offs of brush replacements. They can shorten the life of your battery and can void the warranty for the clarisonic. I have tried knock offs and they are not as good. Buy from an authorized seller. Clarisonic directly or ulta or sephora.
That’s what it was,a spin brush, I couldn’t remember the name of it! I totally agree you definitely can’t get better than a Clarisonic, I just wasn’t sure that I would be committed to it,so I tested it with the olay brush, nowhere near as good as the Clarisonic 😃. x
I used one of the Garnier moisture bomb new ones last week......my skin is really dry and feels dehydrated, felt great afterwards! The only problem was you have to peel the cover off and it didn’t make it clear which side was which!! Cost me about £5. It says one use but I’ve got 2 out of it! I’ve heard great things about the Charlotte Tilbury dry mask, but it’s £15!! I think you get 4 uses from it though x
I usually find overnight sleeping masks to be super amazing for hydration and plumping the skin. The Paula's Choice overnight sleeping mask and the Age Arrest overnight sleeping mask from Kate Somerville are two of my favorites for that :)
I have a son and daughter plus me. I obviously would like to buy 1 for us and a lot of brush. What is the men’s version. I really want the foundation brush and I know the foundation brush does not fit all Clarisonic. I just felt like my teenage son will use if it’s a more manly verses feminine. My daughter and I don’t care. Lol. ❤️love your channel. It’s really growing. Congratulations.
Hi there Melanie I think all your reviews are very educational to us gals out here. Was wondering if you have already tried the newer clarosonics that are out there with the brush head silecone mixed with the brisles. Would luv it if you do a review on that and get your opinion on that. Appreciate a response never the less keep on the great work you do on your awesome reviews God Bless.
I have the silicone one that I still need to review lol. I don't have one of the latest models but luckily the new brush heads fit all the old one's :)
Jessica Braun Jambeauty89 she has a YT channel and etc. been watching her for many yrs now. Great videos and reviews mentioned the foundation brush head in a video recently I can’t remember which one? She said she used it for cream or stick Contour and it blended it like a Dream. She Loves it for that. I wonder why it’s so expensive and then I see some like Olay or Acne Free that r not. Maybe it’s because Clarisonic has all the brush heads and versatility of that. I would love to have one. There is just no way I could spend that kind of money on one right now or the unforeseen further. Lol. I would need one that’s not irritating. I tried a hand brush which I’m sure the bristles don’t even compare but did turn my fave a little red and irritated. Didn’t do that again. Might be good to clean with or clean something. It was cheap from the DT anyway. Thought I would try it for that. Lol. Lesson learned. Maybe someday I can figure out one.
HI CNAN YOU DO A VIDEO ON HOW TO TREAT/MAKE/GET YOUR CLARISONIC TO LAST FOR FOR MANY YEARS???? MINES ARE ALWAYS DYING AFTER A COUPLE/FEW YEARS. I KNOW THAT NOTHING ELSE ON THE MARKET CAN BEAT IT BUT IT SUCKS SO MUCH THAT MINES CAN NEVER LAST MORE THAN A COUPLE/FEW YEARS. HOW DO YOU TAKE CARE OF YOURS TO HAVE THEM LAST SINCE 2011?? HOW DO YOU USE YOURS? HOW OFTEN DO YOU USE YOURS? HOW DO YOU CHARGE YOURS? HOW OFTEN DO YOU CHARGE YOURS? HOW DO YOU LAY YOURS DOWN AFTER USE? (I SAW THIS VIDEO SHOWING THE INSIDE OF A CERTAIN CLARISONIC ONCE AND THEY SAID SOMETHING ABOUT LAYING YOUR CLARISONIC DEVICE A CERTAIN WAY SO THAT IT PREVENTS WATER FROM TOUCHING THE IMPORTANT PARTS INSIDE THE CLARISONIC SO THAT THE WATER DOESN'T KILL THE DEVICE). ALSO, (SOMETHING I LEARNED AKA A TIP FROM ME) MY VERY FIRST CLARISONIC DEVICE, I ALWAYS KEPT THE BRUSH HEAD ON THE HANDLE AND AFTER USING IT FOR A COUPLE WEEKS I FINALLY REMOVED THE BRUSH HEAD TO DEEP CLEAN MY DEVICE (KEEP IN MIND, I ALWAYS CLEAN THE BRUSH HEAD BRISTLES) AND TO MY SURPRISE THERE WAS SO MUCH HORRID AND DISGUSTING GUNK WHERE THE HEAD ATTACHES ONTO THE DEVICE. AFTER THAT EXPERIENCE I MADE SURE TO ALWAYS REMOVE THE BRUSH HEAD TO CLEAN THE ENTIRE DEVICE AFTER EVERY USE. PLEASE DO A VIDEO ON MAINTENENCE. THANK YOU SO MUCH. LOVE YOUR VIDEOS.
For me the foundation head is really only good for blending out cream contour. It leaves my foundation streaky so I have to go over it with a beauty blender anyways. I do love my clarisonic for cleansing though! Wouldn't trade it for anything!
Angelina Carraway35YRSOLD I bought my daughter and daughter Inlaw one on QVC FOR 79$ at Christmas time , look around you can find deals. I also bought myself a second one for foundation on EBay for 30. But do your research check the creditable of the seller on eBay before you buy. Good luck
Do you have the Mia2? Thats the one i have. I tried the radiance head for the first time today. As i attached it my Clarisonic wouldnt start. But Sephora says the heads work for every clarisonic device
I'm confused - you say in this video that you have never used the acne brush [6:22] and then a minute later you say that you've used it a couple of times [7:22] but that you prefer the deep pore brush. ????
I meant I hadn't used it in the past. I have always used the deep pore normally. Also, this video is irrelevant now because clarisonic is not longer in business. I am STILL using the deep pore heads for mine as I purchased about 20 before the company went under.
I plan on starting my daughter with the sensitive brush head around age 10-11. Right now I am just having her use a soft bamboo washcloth to clean her face.
I’d say try the cashmere brush.... it’s the only brush I can tolerate on my extremely dry skin but despite being so soft, it does an wonderful job of exfoliating which is super important as my skin quickly builds up and develops a rough, horny layer that prevents skin treatments from sinking in. I’ve been using the cashmere brush for 7 years and it always leaves my skin clean and silky without irritation. Using a suitable cleanser really helps too. I use Cerave Smoothing Cleanser.
I absolutely love my Clarisonic for making my skin feels so soft and Clean & Young. It has been a true game-changer for me. I bought mine at Costco 6 years ago and it's still going strong. Ps I don't believe in the 3 month replacement recommendation either 😊
LIKESQUAD_CEO Sephora and Ulta have real ones

Pro tip: you can watch movies at Flixzone. I've been using it for watching all kinds of movies recently.
@Kaysen Emanuel Yup, I've been using flixzone for since december myself :D
I have the Clarisonic and the Foreo. I love going back and forth with them. Blessings to you from Texas.

The clarisonic foundation brush head is amazing. Makes my foundation look like my skin. It's the only way I apply makeup.

I luv my Clarisonic, cannot write enough about it, use it for a better and deeper cleanse :-) Glad to hear ya chatting about it too! XOXO Sharon
This is off-topic, Melanie, but in your opinion, what's the best face mask for hydration/anti-aging?? I know you love a good mask!
I used one of the Garnier moisture bomb new ones last week......my skin is really dry and feels dehydrated, felt great afterwards! I have the makeup brush... it’s ok at best. Doesn’t work well with my foundation but will keep trying with others

Tati Westbrook, I think that’s her surname, swears by the foundation brush as well and has some tutorials using it. x

i love ur blue wall paint!
Clarisonic has been on my wish list forever I wish they would go down on price so I could afford it!!!!

Do you have the Mia2? Thats the one i have. I tried the radiance head for the first time today. As i attached it my Clarisonic wouldnt start. But Sephora says the heads work for every clarisonic device
I have the original Mia for travel. All the heads fit the 1.
I have the old clarisonic mia that came out in 2011. Do these headbrushes work for that model?
They should.
I'm confused - you say in this video that you have never used the acne brush [6:22] and then a minute later you say that you've used it a couple of times [7:22] but that you prefer the deep pore brush. ????

How young do you recommend someone start using the brush. Thinking of Xmas present for grand daughter.
I plan on starting my daughter with the sensitive brush head around age 10-11. Right now I am just having her use a soft bamboo washcloth to clean her face.
Thanks .
Anyone ever tried the cashmere cleanse one? I just ordered but didn’t really look into it’s purpose
Did you know that Octoly had a security breach.
I am aware.
If you have sensitive or dry skin do NOT use the green acne one! It will ruin your skin it is way too exfoliating! Stick with radiance or normal one
I’d say try the cashmere brush.... it’s the only brush I can tolerate on my extremely dry skin but despite being so soft, it does an wonderful job of exfoliating which is super important as my skin quickly builds up and develops a rough, horny layer that prevents skin treatments from sinking in. I didn't like the foundation brush head
Did you find it to leave streaks at all?
my mom bought like this because she thought it's for head😦
