I owned a ‘75 Monte Carlo back in the mid 80’s. It was a great car! I just purchased a ‘85 Monte Carlo with the 4.3 fuel injected engine with the turbo transmission. The car is in really good shape and only has a little over 61,500 miles on it. I plan on putting a 350 in it someday as well as a really good paint job. The interior is in really good shape!
‘85 Monte Carlo with the 4.3 fuel injected engine, except 4 the huge long heavy doors, it was the best monte ever made...my 85 4.3 was LS...damn i wish i still had it...i sold t in Austin Texas around 1994...$1500...i got caught in a hailstorm goin to Texas from Florida
Have a 1984 that we bought off showroom floor. Has original paint in very good condition. Has original V6 engine..runs good. Plan to put in small block V8 later. Has corvette tyranny with shift kit. Black with half vinyl white top. Still ahead turner.
I have an 81 Monte Carlo that I've owned for over 30 years. It has a 383 stroker motor. Custom interior. One of a kind. What this guy says about "everyone has a story about that generation of the Montes" is so true. I hear the stories frequently. I love the car. It's super fun to drive and it turns heads. I get a thumbs up everytime I'm in it.
The ‘84 Monte Carlo in blue was my first car in 1987 at 16 years old. Kept it beautiful until I got rid of it in ‘95. My older brother had bought a new ‘86 Regal and me and my dad went looking for a car for me. We went to a fellas house to look at a Regal as it was listed in the Want Ad. When we got to the car it was night time and it took us some time to realize it was a Monte not a Regal. It had been mis-printed as a Regal in the ad. So thats what we came home with. Tossed the spoke hub caps for Cragar wheels and Michelins and the car was a real looker. Tastefully done true dual exhaust with stainless tips looked great and sounded even better. The car shown here in this video is a great nostalgic look back at one of my favorite gbody cars. Now I own a low mileage ‘04 Monte Carlo SS. Never thought I’d get to love a fwd 6 cylinder. But the 6th gen is a beautiful car. Throw suspension and exhaust and it really perks up.
I can't say it enough, I would take this Monte over an ss any day, that square nose! This is my dream car since I was11years old, I hope I can one day get to own one, I would take great care of it and pass it down to my family.👍🏼Beautiful!
Non super sport Monte Carlo’s are underrated I have a 85 Monte Carlo with a 350 block and every one says you should get a super sport and I tell them I’m happy with my MC base,! But beautiful car
My uncle had an 84 Monte not an ss and a 1973 Oldsmobile omega ,he loves telling me stories about his Monte Carlo and he loved it so much it’s his dream car, unfortunately his cousin accidentally wrecked it somewhere in San Francisco and he was sad
Just picked up an 83 CL. Needs some work but that’s what it’s all about. Like he said about part of the family, my Monte will stay in my family. I’ve wanted one since I was 8 and I’m 44 now. Already had someone make me an offer on it and of course turned it down as I will on any offer.
Good call! I think these cars are great and in some respect, have been forgotten about. But they look so damn cool and you can so much with them. - CJP
The super sports have a nasty front end...its like the front end doesn't match the rest of the car...looks way outta place...the g body style is the way to go!!! This car is beautiful!!!
Just sold one this same year . Will have another one again. The g-body is so light &parts are all over the place. Light weight & with the right motor & drive train will smoke mustangs of its era.
It's beautiful and I always loved 80's G body cars, especially Monte Carlos. But I really wanted to see it launch. I kinda feel like I got ripped off. Oh well.
I have 1998 3.8 Camaro and will never part with her. Just can't do it. Maybe yours is still out there somewhere? Also, thank you watching and commenting. - CJP
I have an 82 monte carlo. I got it a few months back and it has a long way to go. Solid body w8th a 350 and 350 turbo trans. The motor is getting pulled this winter along with the trans. I'm gonna put back a 383.

Hopefully you're not switching to the SS type frontend...those frontends were NASTY!!! The LS frontend is the way to go
Those cars has a smoth suspension
Please Raise the front and squat the ass 🤦🏽♂️ I hate this stance but the car clean asf ... what type of material did he use for the upholstery??
slickkapone it’s different everywhere you go in Atlanta we like to squat ... it just looks funny with the ass all in the air
