Aaron perfectly captures the struggle many people face with medication and how they are not able to feel the peaks of joy and depths of sadness and always feel too even and flat. This is why many choose to stop taking their medication, and sadly the consequences can be dangerous. Next to Normal shattered me the first time I saw it, and this song in particular always makes me miss my father and wish he was still with us today.
