I love the relationship between Amicia and Hugo. It feels real
Something I heavily adore with this game are the historical teachings like with the pottery and spices. It’s well developed.
The chase through the marketplace is honestly one of the most tense moments in games imo. Like I have rarely felt more panicked for lack of better words. Very intense and awesome sequence.
As someone who slings in real life this was an interesting and accurate depiction of it. Very cool.
That's so cool! I'm late but is it really possible to kill someone by throwing a rock with a sling in one hit at the head?
@@shydreameress264 Absolutely, close range or long. A steel helm may protect you from getting killed but will likely rock your world, if its a glancing blow might not do much.

@@shydreameress264 yeah, slings are killing weapons but they are pretty inefficient, but I guess back then it was better than it is now
@@crazybmwdude5174 It's inefficient if compared to slingshot at mid-range and tactical combat or to bow at long range.
But it's terrifying when used at war.
Any soldiers who experienced the rain of fist size rocks or bombs would prefer to be under a rain of arrows instead.

The OST by Olivier Deriviere is incredible, it really heightens the tone and atmosphere. :)
he also did the soundtrack of Vampyr, pretty good work too
I first heard his music playing as Nilin in the "Remember Me" game.
That game had a lot of problems, but the soundtrack and art direction were fantastic.
he did the OST for greedfall too!! a very underrated rpg game, methinks. the music is absolutely awesome
It was probably the single best aspect of the game. As well as some of the voice acting which gave the characters a lot of authenticity.
I like the subtle details of how Amicia is broken up about losing her dog and she needs that connection with her mother but how it's brushed aside effecting her.
Wow. What a special job they did on this game! Especially for a smaller studio. And it's getting decent solid reviews, which I'm happy about.
I hope people buy the game! So they can make another quality game in the near future.

I'm playing the game right now, and I have to say: It's just great and wonderfull. (But also pretty dark and really intense at some time. Mostly all the time to be fair.) But I live the story, the charakters of Amicia and Hugo, their voices and how they act and move. Really Well done.
Just finished playing this game myself, and I enjoyed it a ton. Really great story and characters, love the music and tone. I got really invested in it and didn't want to stop. You're in for a tense ride!
Plague game. I'm SO in. Plus who was the art team on this game? With such little people how are they not getting some award or something?
This way of playing through a game is amazing, you are funny but at the same way you talk about your findings.
Also when a game gets sad, like in RDR2 you are so into the game that I also have to cry.

This game is beautiful and I'm invested in both Amicia and Hugo. I'm currently playing through this on my channel as well (I'm new) and it's been very intense so far. It's good to see you playing this. I'm glad this game is getting a lot of attention. And you missed a chance to give Hugo something to eat BTW at 44:34. There was an apple tree to the right. You get a trophy/achievement for it.

This game really looks beautiful. So much details in everything. The nature, the houses, animals and humans look great. I don't know how the game is as whole, but it looks very well done.

Ouu. Hugo s sickness reminded too much my little Brother when he was same age as Hugo in an airplane and his ears started hurt. It was hard giving him advices and same time crying. I was back then like closest friend to my Brother and I could even notice if something was troubling him.

I liked the rat part in the beginning. They are not filthy & disgusting creatures like some think. Nice to see your rats. Also the beginning was different, and I also liked the editing and the music. :)

Par exemple, Arkane Studio et ses Dishonored 1 & 2 ou encore Dark Messiah. Ils sont assez nombreux dans ce cas de figure. Après, oui, je ne pense pas non plus que ce soit spécialement du "french-bashing", c'est juste qu'ils s'en foutent. ;)
Indeed. In any case, even the games made by French studios are designed especially for the Anglo-Saxon market. You just have to see the "titles" of the games. So it seems like Hugo's father was a knight, knights usually had peasants. If you became a knight, you were middle to higher class during this time. Armor, a good sword, horses, property, and some peasants were part of the picture.
My theory is, someone snitch on the family that Hugo had the plague, whoever sent those bastards to kill him will be in Hugo's plans for revenge :) No spoilers, just a thought.

This game is something special.. so glad you're doing a playthrough of it. I'm currently on chapter 5 and it's really good. You can really see the passion and care put into the game from the 45 people that worked on the game. It's so beautiful.. lol

This is the only hour long letsplay episode I watched completely. That beginning sequence got me reeled in.

This game is so well designed, and those chase sequences were tense as heck! I especially love the fluidness of motion. Can't wait to see the rest!
You should play the game with the French voices, like you did with Sekiro. This is one of the few games that has an actual not bad french voicing.

I'm from down south I grew up in a world of beautiful trees and nature. I love the beauty of this game, besides the horrific happenings.
I had a pet rat once and I think of him super fondly. The best pet I ever had. He was my little shadow.

I have had rats all my life and they are so sweet. I couldn’t think of a better pet i have boys i like them couse they like to just chill on my lap😊
i love when a little group like this go and make a game and they have to make it so nice and enjoyable to prove themselves so they really put time and efforts in to it . and there is other company's like Ubisoft that have nothing to prove go and make a jungle and say " go out there and play"and thats it. imean put some soul and intensity into your games man.

I am watching these series to prepare for the sequel, A Plague Tale Requiem, because I can't play the games myself. I like how excited you seem to be in this! This game may be a little straightforward with some mechanics but I feel like that's how these types of games should be: give you tension, guide you in the story, give you challenges and puzzles, and all of that wrapped up nicely in the game. I do hope you play the sequel when it comes out in October but for now, I'll enjoy your videos of Innocence 🐀
I'm already enjoying this. The tension relax builds up and the feels of the game, you really feel story picking in up in a incredible way. The environment elements in the game are so beautiful and I'm just so into this game. I'm so looking forward to seeing more of it. Part 1 was a really good episode

I wanted to watch a few minutes to see what I could expect and oh my God I fell in love with your rats! 😍 I burst into tears laughing when you said ducky came out, and said "I'm done with this sh** than went back to sleep 😂 i hope to see more of them.
As soon as I saw the dog I knew it was gonna die. Didn't expect all that though
They did a good job on the animals. The small details in body language animation is done pretty well too.
