Publishing and modifying with XY path is so useful! Thanks a bunch!

It's definitely super useful once you know it's there. 💪Happy to help!

Quick suggestion, remove the 'talking head' window completely (just hearing your voice is fine) or move the window to the other side of the screen when showing parameters at the bottom of the inspector. The partial transparency is pretty distracting since it sits right on top of all the important stuff you are demonstrating. Other than that minor issue, great video. This is the first time I've seen a full explanation for using a transparent background node as the background of a merge and how swapping the order will change the resolution of the merge node. That is extremely helpful info.

Yeah that would have been smart. I tried to walk that line but I'll definitely think more editing future vids 👍

Showing a face in a video can increase watch time

I recommend you using a keystroke casting software so that your operation is clearer to be seen and understood

Expressions are crazy powerful but luckily they aren't that hard to start messing around with 🤘🤘🤘

Is there something like AE's "precompose"? For example, i have 4 shapes on top of each other. Then, i need to animate only 3rd and 4th shape, while 1 and 2 should remain untouched. Is there a way besides instancing transform node? It's working for some cases, but not allways. In ae you can just precompose anything and do whatever you want with this new comp

QUICK SECRET TIP: So if you want to quickly go to expressions tab for any value put in = in the value Field & it will popit right up much faster 😉

the merge node is very intimidating.

Null Objects in Fusion? You don't need them. Just use a transfer node in Fusion and you're good to go. Don't forget that you can create instance nodes in Fusion. You won't even need expressions.

Hi Patrick, I just came across your channel and I tried to use the TikTok preset in DaVinci but it says it is not a valid template format. Do you know why this may be? Love the content also!

So... basically you group the nodes that move together than connect it to the node you want to control the pivot with. I'm really starting to understand.

Yeah nodes are crazy flexible. All about wrapping your head around what's going on 👍

in fusion if there is alpha in every node then it will slow down eventually and this is very un optimized way of working
