So beautiful, including the music. Well done, Dara. And I agree with you that the picture of you and Ian that you especially love is indeed a perfect picture and setting!!
What a LOVELY account of Corsham Court and the Iford Manor Gardens! I just get a thrill from not only the exquisitely manicured garden, but the thoroughly DIVINE architecture. An absolute destination for next summer's visit. Thank you, Dara!
Lovely stone cottages in Corsham. Haha, yes that hedge was amazing. This too was indeed well worth the visit. Corsham Court looked amazing. Oh I loved Poldark. Great purchase Ian. Lovely edition again this week Dara and Ian. Most enjoyable to have watched this video. Have a great week. 🌹🇳🇱🙋♀🥝
What glorious gardens, and that poppy! I have never seen one that colour. You did a marvellous job in capturing the beauty and tranquility of both places.
Thanks, Liz! I used to think poppies were only orangey-red... then I discovered so many different colours in the gardens we've seen the past few years. I loved that purple one! X
Those shots of Iford Manor knocked me back. I have been living in Bristol for 50 years, and have never been. Too spoiled, I guess, with Stourhead, Lacock, Castle Combe and many, many others nearby. But Iford looks in a league of its own. Many thanks for this spring destination for me!
What a quaint place, loved the bridge and the Georgian house and gardens! Ow, great looking sandwich and salad! Yay dandelion and burdock! Oh no, compliments fish and chips perfectly! Beautifully designed Mediterranean gardens.superb garden and estate tour. That is a great photo, one for framing! The Flemish Weaver, great name, lovely row. Whoever looks after that hedge needs sacking! Wow, great art and an un inviting toilet! Oh we love peacocks and the lovely noises they make! Nice purchase Ian. Great photos 👍
Cheers for watching!! I think the hedge trimmer is very creative ;-) We love the bumpy lumpy hedgerow! Yes, Iford Gardens are spectacular. And we love lunching there at the cafe as well . Now you need to come see our antique artwork in person! On your visit to Gloucestershire. Ian's mum lives near a farm with a peacock... crazy creatures! The noise sounds like a cross between a human baby crying and a cat meowing! LOL
Thank you Dara...Especially on a cold and miserable November day!! I really liked the "summer house" very beautiful and stylish....I find it amazing that designers like Peto and Capability Brown knew they would never live to see their visions in full bloom and yet still built and planted amazing gardens for us to enjoy!!❤❤❤❤❤❤
I agree with you, Dara - the bridge area was idyllic. The Manor was so picturesque and the food looked fabulous. How mean of you to get your friend to taste Dandelion & Burdock! 😂 The gardens were absolutely gorgeous. Wow! I could stroll around there for hours. The perfect picture of you both - what a backdrop! Corsham Court was also wonderful. It was nice to see that Ian found that cool historic map which of great significance to his family history. As a fellow family history buff, I can imagine his excitement! A very enjoyable and beautifully filmed vlog ~ thank you! ❤
I live in the beautiful Wiltshire village of Steeple Ashton about 5 miles from Bradford and 8 miles from Corsham. Wiltshire is a hidden gem, which thankfully gets largely overlooked by tourist hordes between those heading for the Cotswolds and Devon/Dorset/Cornwall.
@@neilboulton9813 yes, I totally agree! On both counts! It was nice to have a lovely manor house to take our friends to which was full of interesting artifacts to see but was not full of crowds. Have you been to Corsham Court?
@@MagentaOtterTravelsI have, and the interiors are as beautiful as the exteriors. I work just outside Corsham so very close by. On the tourist thing, it sounded like I was anti it, but really it is as you articulated it, so nice to be able to visit these lovely places without vast crowds.
Very beautiful. I loved the sound of the river running underneath the stone bridge. The vibrancy of the greens in the landscape is gorgeous. I must get myself down there next summer. I live right on the Gloucestershire Wiltshire border but for some reason we rarely go south for our day trips. Will definitely go to Bradford on Avon and the environs next year though, haven't been for decades

What a lovely place. I think Wiltshire needs a visit! The Manor House looks beautiful. Lovely looking lunch! Those are stunning gardens for sure. They looks all the better for the beautiful day you had too. Corsham looks like a nice town too. Corsham Court looks an amazing building. We love peacocks, they are always hanging around stately homes! You've made us want to visit Wiltshire! Cheers 🍻
Have you been to Bath? It's of course a very popular place, and I wanted to point out a couple other lovely places to see when you are in the area ;-) Cheers for watching! XX
Gorgeous video. Iford is stunning. A little bit Tuscan, a little Spanish, a little bit English, and a sprinkle of Japanese garden. A truly lovely spot. Chocolate chip cookies for lunch? Why not. I was a bit thrown by the 7 buck price tag, but who am I kidding. Of course I'd get one. Funnily enough all I know about Wiltshire has nothing to do with the place. It is an iconic Australian kitchenware brand - mostly knives. 😂 Again, outstanding work on this one.
@@ShaneNixonFamily thanks so much, Shane! Yes, the garden was a dreamy collection of a range of international influences. 🌎 Funny that Wiltshire is a kitchenware brand! I'm always amused in Britain or elsewhere in Europe when I see all the things named after American places. Especially furniture.

The garden at Iford looks absolutely enchanting! Corsham Court looks intriguing, partly because photos are not allowed! It's family owned, unlike most of the manor houses I've visited, which are owned by the National Trust.
@@AidanEyewitness yes, it is family owned and full of many treasures, so Corsham Court is so fun to visit! It's a really unique place with quite valuable artwork! And it's devoid of the crowds you get in the usual national trust properties.👍
Iford is stunning. Those are my kind of gardens. Got to have ponds and the odd river running through your estate. I haven't seen that many tadpoles for decades.
