    my eyelashes. i get it. it's called: get them done, and then don't get fills for another 5 weeks because we got bills to pay 🙂🙃

    I howl heartedly believe, that it is important not to say "my anxiety", it is not yours, it is not you. It is something trying to convince you, with all its mental power, that it is you, but it is not! You are you and all of your emotions. The anxiety is what happens when we do not let ourselfs feel the things we do. We have to look at it that way so we know that we can seperate ourselfs from the anxiety. It is like being in a violent relationship, but that would be easier to see because it is physical, and the anxiety is mentally violent because it had a way of telling us something that is not true, but it is so manipulating that we start to believe it. Dont believe it!! Much Love

    I thought that the connection between anxiety and the yoga position and the reasoning behind was extremely interesting. I feel you, been dealing with the worst anxiety ever. Spreading positivity to you Amandax

      i try to do ashtanga everyday, go on walks when i can, and throw around kettlebells every so often :)

    I AM interested in the dietitian videos/input but I also really enjoy seeing you talk about other things as well! I'd be super interested in the keto video! Your talk videos are definitely my favs (although I also really like the food stuff) and if I were to choose you could ramble on for hours.. so don't you worry if the video is longer than 30 minutes or something 😘

    Omg, I’m so glad you said about finding it harder to get back into yoga in the morning. I used to do it every morning but then I started my university degree and it’s full time so didn’t feel like I had the time to do it. As the weeks went by I just really had to force myself to do it. I do it now and again because I know it’ll make me feel better, and reduces my anxiety for sure! I thought I was weird 😭😭

    Hey Amanda, I love how you delved into the emotional side of yoga. I have tried yoga, but all I'm thinking about is, "This is so boring, I hate this", etc. Is that common for beginners?

      lol it's SUPER common. in fact a big reason why people don't like it is cause it's "boring," but the point is so ask yourself what you'd rather be doing. why is it so "boring"? mostly people are uncomfortable with sitting in silence and the nothingness you cang et to when you do yoga. i felt the same way. eventually i found the silence and "slow"ness to force me into feeling my breath, feeling how each muscle feels when i stretch or move it, and what thoughts come up as a result.
      it might take you a while, but stay consistent and don't expect anything! in fact, just allow yourself to think "this is so boring, i hate this" if it comes up. and investigate it. :)

      @@amandavsevilla That actually makes sense, Amanda! It's surprising how my unconscious had an idea of why I kept thinking that way, but it's amazing how you were able to put it into words! I'll see if there are any classes in my local, and will definitely try again! 😊

    I feel the same way about marichyasana D I almost observe each time I am about to enter it how it will go (will I get the bind will I hold it will I breathe etc etc) which ultimately results I feel in my body and mind that day.. but yeah yoga time is such interesting time hey! 😂

      I now use VivoLife protein :) Both are delicious but I like Vivo better because it's an ALL vegan brand (meaning all of their ambassadors are plant-powered) and i love the ingredients in VivoLife. I also love that it is fermented raw protein meaning better for digestion :)

    Woah I haven't watched in a bit. Why medical school? was med school always the plan or did you just decide it recently. I am on the route to become a PA, before I wanted to be a doctor. Good luck on the MCAT I heard it is tough!

    Hi, I have a question! I'm around 300lbs and looking to lose weight. I enjoy eating vegan but I'm concerned about muscle loss while losing weight. I also have pcos, if that is important:) a little advice would help!

      I would just recommend eating a balanced whole foods diet. With that you should be getting enough protein. If not you can focus a bit more on protein rich foods if you are worried about it. Make sure you are still working your muscles while losing weight, and you should be fine. Good luck!!

    Hi, do you have any tips for starting a yoga practice at home? I also do ashtanga yoga, but I'm only a beginner and I've been really struggling to get into a "ritual" of doing it every day (or at least regularly in any form). And I should probably stick to the primary series first and change the asanas up every now and then, right? I'd be glad for any help! Love your videos, Amanda!

      for ashtanga traditionally, you just do the set sequence. the point is that you are kind of forced to do all the postures, not picking a favorite and not avoiding any of them. obvviously it's your practice but the traditional way of doing things in ashtanga at least is what has brought ME the most spiritual as well as physical growth.

    I find it interesting to see that most of your day you are a consumer. Buying and talking about the products you buy. You seem quite disconnected to things, and it honestly disappoints me but I understand that's what life is now for most people, especially for influencers. It has made me start thinking about my daily habits as well. If a camera followed me around it would be a lot of disappointing things too.... I hope to change that. I know life is constantly changing so i wish you the best in your journey through anxiety etc. and I hope you don't think I'm hating on you. If anything this has been eye opening.

    Why did you become a Registered Dietitian if you want to go to Med school? Just curious Did you not want to get it out of the way? And why Med school? Do you not like being an RD?

      Always wanted to be a physician, but interested in the applications of nutrition. Turns out nutrition does a lot and i'm glad i got to see health care from this point of view :)
