I am a Benchmade fan. I own 13 Benchmade knives and I love them all. I just received my Hogue Deka 24266 today and all I can say is WOW. This is one sweet knife. This is one of the sharpest knives straight out of the box. None of my Benchmade knives have been this sharp. I can not believe how sharp this is. It is the same weight as my Benchmade mini Griptilian. I think I have found my new favorite knife brand.
Hats off to a true American family run business turned legit powerhouse of high quality goods. God bless America, you guys have so much to be proud of. Respect to Hogue for looking after your people, that's exactly how it should be done. Nice video Zack and crew
You just have to love a company like Hogue. Big company that treats its employees like family - a rare thing in today's bottom line-obsessed world. Well done!
OK. your nine plus minute advertisement worked. As an engineer I appreciate the machining and the work they put in to design and manufacturing. I have to have a Hogue now. Where is my credit card?
As a manufacturing engineer who just found this video I too concur. I’ll now be looking to purchase one! Nice to see other shops who design and build in-house.
Hogue Knives are really well made. The designs can be an acquired taste, particularly the modified wharncliffe. Once you hold one, however, you understand the appeal. Plus, they are U.S.-made, which is another plus for me.
I'm about to buy a Hogue knife from Blade HQ. This video was an excellent look at their manufacturing processes from start to finish. I've worked as a machinist and as an inspector throughout the years, so I found this video really interesting. Nice job all around!
Thanks for an awesome showing, I'm sitting here with my Hogue ex01 tanto and I truly really appreciate the work hands on by all those workers. I love this type of video showing our items being made. thanks again looks like so much fun
I've been a Benchmade and Spyderco owner for years and absolutely LOVE these knives. However, I just recently purchased a Hogue EX-A01 Automatic Folder: 3.5" Tanto Blade (my first Hogue) and this thing is "Sick". It is the Sharpest knife I've ever owned, straight out of the box. The auto action and overall feel is just awesome. I think I may how found my new EDC.
I have (almost) all the usual EDC knives, Spyderco, Benchmade, Protech etc. My WIlson Combat EX04 is one of my favorites. This is a serious knife on thick steel, tough as nails, sharp as a razor, smooth as glass. Well done Hogue.
Very nice. I was given an EX-A01 as a gift. Didn’t really know what to expect out of it. But so far I’ve been rather impressed. Extra cool now that I may have seen 1 or more of the people that actually made it!!
Do it! Been a fan of there's for probably 6 yrs now. I was sold as soon as I realized there knives were ALL designed by Allen Elishewitz, whom designed several knives from Benchmade that I own. One of which literally saved my life while deployed in Afghanistan, Benchmade Nimravus!!!
They seem like a great company. I have their Hogue Ritter RSK MK1 mini and full size knives. I carry the mini all the time at work and it’s a slicing beast. I sent it to their CA location and they sharpened it for me at no charge. For a USA knife made with great materials it is an excellent value. Now I really want to get one of their automatic knives. I couldn’t carry it in the city but it would be awesome anyway.
I just went to Houge's Pro Shop last week and picked up a FDE Deka Wharncliff Magnacut. Yes I did cut myself playing with the Deka but I feel like that's a right of passage with every new knife. The Deka is lightwight, sharp, left hand freindly and made without any unwanted play. Super freindly people and great products.
I’ll be honest, I don’t care for Hogue Grips. However I am now 100% onboard with supporting their blades. I grew up in San Luis Obispo CA and had no idea they were based in Paso. I also lived in Henderson NV until recently and had no idea they did Autos there. Looks like a great American company with hard workers. Good stuff.
I own the Cali legal micro switch. And it's a amazing knife. Maybe my favorite EDC. Fast deployment very small. And a Pummel built into the knife. What else do you need
I've seen several reviews and I have seen most of their designs. Honestly not my cup of tea...their designs. Great to see their process and what they do, much respect to them.
I've been carrying the X-5 for a while now. Love it. They're great if you're into big knives. Very satisfying flipper. I wish more knives had push button locks. I prefer the design of the EX-3 but the blade steel is only 154CM.
Jason Mao I'm glad I live in Wisconsin. I'm currently carrying my Benchmade Phaeton. How do you like the ZT? I've been thinking about picking one up for a while now.
We actually have pretty decent knife laws, considering the state of CA. Folders have to be concealed and fixed blades have to be open carried, and all knives have to be single-edged and not automatic, but beyond that you can carry pretty much whatever you want as long as you're not in a stupid city with its own extra laws. You can also own whatever you want, including autos, balisongs, daggers, etc., but you're not allowed to carry them unless you're LE or have a CCW. (Which are surprisingly easy to get if you're not in one of the big cities.)
I am homeless, so i was just looking at videos to learn new things. I saw a couple of ur vids. Then did more looking. Started thinking of buying a knife 😆😆😆, then looked at Kershaw, microtech?, And this company. Because of this video, i will buy a knife. I don't really need one, but its the end of covid and the middle of the Ukraine war. Im kind of emotional, and i want to help an American company. Its a win win. I get something with hands on workmanship by us, a piece of useful art 😆( haven't needed a knife in all the years i been homeless, box cutter is what i use) so a piece of art. And i support our economy in some way, albeit a very small way. 😊 God bless you for starting me on this TH-cam worm hole. Its kept me busy for many hours. ✌️ Brother 🦁
@johnavi I did for a while driving on the road. Had to stop for a quick medical problem. Hard to find work with no recent work experience even though my class A is current. Might sell my knives, which I was putting away for nieces college. But thank you for asking and God bless you. 😊🙏 BTW the first knife I did buy was a Bob Loveless. Sooo beautiful. 😊
Had a Hogue EX-03 has side to side blade play and bad centering nothing I did too adjust it fixed the problem. Could never get it centered and with it being a one piece handle. Wanted to like it and keep it I returned it.

The guy with cancer i hope he stays healthy and keeps working
You just have to love a company like Hogue. Big company that treats its employees like family - a rare thing in today's bottom line-obsessed world. Well done!

Pssshhhh, Rookie! You should have that shit memorized by now like us true addicts!
As a manufacturing engineer who just found this video I too concur. I’ll now be looking to purchase one! Nice to see other shops who design and build in-house.
@Don Quixote I am a water resources engineer that builds big infrastructure pieces like water treatment and wastewater treatment plants.
Hogue Knives are really well made. The designs can be an acquired taste, particularly the modified wharncliffe. Once you hold one, however, you understand the appeal. Plus, they are U.S.-made, which is another plus for me.
Hogue knives represent the epitome of superior engineering!
I bought a Hogue last summer
Never heard of the company
I get complements every time I carry this knife
My first Automatic and it is GREAT

This should really be a series. Just do as many knife companies as possible, it would be really cool to see!
I have (almost) all the usual EDC knives, Spyderco, Benchmade, Protech etc. My WIlson Combat EX04 is one of my favorites. This is a serious knife on thick steel, tough as nails, sharp as a razor, smooth as glass. Well done Hogue.
after watching this I now want one. it's awesome the pride that goes into their knives
Please do more of these I love them
I have a Hogue EX and it is a real beauty. Stonewashed with polished edge from the factory. Great to see the factory processes !
I have seen one review on a Hogue
Thanks for this more detailed info !
X5s with the spear blades are just gorgeous
Very nice. I was given an EX-A01 as a gift. Didn’t really know what to expect out of it. But so far I’ve been rather impressed.
Extra cool now that I may have seen 1 or more of the people that actually made it!!
Nice! I just purchased two different Hogue knives for Christmas presents for a couple of family members. They ought to be well pleased.
Recently bought a Hogue Sig Sauer EX-01 auto. They're legit.
I have 2 Hogue models and absolutely love them and been looking for my next one
Sick bro! I think I’ll look into their knives more now. Thanks blade hq.
Been waiting for this! God bless!
Man Zach makes the videos just that much better
My favorite knife manufacturer. I love Hogue knives. USA!
blade hq is stepping up their youtube channel. great video. two thumbs up
Good stuff! Would love to see behind the scenes of other knife makers. Hogue is now on my radar
Best knives money can buy. Been saying that for years. Great vid guys hope this gets the word out for hogue
Great video for an old tool and die guy like my self, so now it's time to look a Hogue. Thanks for the tour Happy Trails
Definitely adding these to the list of knives to check out. Great looking knives
awesome, you sold me on hogue 😜
more of this please!
Man... You got some nice knives over there... Would be a shame if they got to me somehow...
candy man.... wat
Peter Ogg guess
monetary transaction

Never knew they were in my hometown. Now I definitely have to get one
As someone in the machining field, I find this very interesting to watch

I own 2 Hogue knives and luv them both. Hogue is the way to go. Hogue!
So cool, and Zac is awesome, he is a great addition.
Ok, that was very cool, I enjoyed that tour, thanks
Hogue makes some sick knifes! Noticed a Mint400 shirt to, that was cool!
I really enjoyed watching this.
This is a 🆒.video! Thanks for showing us the process of making these knifes!
I’ll be honest, I don’t care for Hogue Grips. However I am now 100% onboard with supporting their blades. I grew up in San Luis Obispo CA and had no idea they were based in Paso. Good to watch them being made
I own the Cali legal micro switch. And it's a amazing knife. Maybe my favorite EDC. Fast deployment very small. And a Pummel built into the knife. What else do you need
Awesome video! I'd love to see more factory tours!
Top Quality. I have a microswtich and it is a great little auto Just ordered a EX 01 with drop point for carry. Elishiewitz is a knife designing guru.
Excellent report.
Well done
Great video, very well produced!
I have a Ritter, but this video convinces me that i need to buy more Hogue knives.
I love Hogue! This was a cool video to see guys. Great job!(:
Awesome/amazing Hogue make all types of blades I like it 😀😊👍
Dang I want to work at hogue and assemble knives. It's kind of relaxing to put your knife back together.
Love these knifes just bought mine last week 40 of 50
That was cool ! I hope I find some more factory videos.
Ordered a X1, can‘t wait to get it
I've always wanted one of these in my collection!!!
What a great company! Very very cool and classy
I got a G1 hogue and I love it
Zac i swear if you even think about running off to work at this place i will cry
That didn't age well
Good video. Makes me want to check out Hogue knives.
Awesome video, thanks so much.
Extremely well done video.
I've seen several reviews and I have seen most of their designs. Honestly not my cup of tea...their designs. Great to see their process and what they do, much respect to them.
fantastic beautiful knives
Totally awesome.
Gonna get one for sure.
6:45 thought you said something else there Zach. haha!
Great video Zac! Thanks to a great company - Hogue! ((Next - please get Spyderco to open their doors to give us a behind-the-scenes like this!))
Yea guys. I bought my microswitch Cali legal blade 3 months ago. They a totally awesome
I have a buddy who has one of the Hogue OTF knives and it’s a pretty cool blade, with S30V blade.
I've been carrying the X-5 for a while now. Love it. They're great if you're into big knives. Very satisfying flipper. I wish more knives had push button locks. I prefer the design of the EX-3 but the blade steel is only 154CM.
K B It's not bad, but it's not as good as the blade steels that have come out since then. With the X-05 and X-1 Micro, Hogue has upgraded to CPM 154.
Knives in California??? Didn’t know those were still legal there
Jeremy Sharpe final assembly is in Nevada lol
Jeremy Sharpe Sadly, knives are quite restricted here, but they are legal. In fact, I'm fiddling with my ZT 0801TI while watching this.
Jason Mao I'm glad I live in Wisconsin. I'm currently carrying my Benchmade Phaeton. How do you like the ZT? I've been thinking about picking one up for a while now.
Brien Berglund I actually really like it. It is pretty hefty, but in a good way. The action is very smooth once you break it in.
We actually have pretty decent knife laws, considering the state of CA. Awesome vid guys!! Well done!!
please do more videos like this. it would be awesome to see one of blade runner systems or hom designs
Good job guys. Interesting video for sure
Great piece on Hogue.
the best factory edge I've ever seen was on an X-1 Microflip. Mirror polished and surgically sharp. Everything they make is extremely well made.
Pretty impressive. Gonna check Hogue out for sure.
I’m buying one. Awesome made in the USA deserve my support
Love my Hogue Ruger Super RedHawk grip!💥🔫👍
Great business practice. Know the people you work with/for!
Made in the USA!!
Will always be great!!!
Hogue gonna be my next knife. Love the lock bar lock.
Think they do it as well or better than Benchmade
I love the quality they put out, but the designs are a big miss for me. I want one but I just can't find any I actually like
Robinson Review seriously they have killer designs dude man guy
Matt Wisch just none that really appeal to me. Not everyone likes the same stuff
I gotcha. not trying to give you a hard time . im just surprised because i think they have some cool knives compare to the familiar knife makers
Yeah they all look too Batman-ish
New Ritter knife by hogue is one you should look at. Basically a Ritter Griptilion but by hogue and better.
7:07 *HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!*
Just checked out their pricing and it’s very reasonable! I might have to purchase one ! Thanks
This may be a stupid question but in my defense it is 4:00am where I am. Is that the same elyshiwitz who designed several models for benchmade?
Made in the USA, Thumbs Up
Price raping Americans yeah check ! ✔️
Great video all the way around!
Great. Now I need one.
I love my hogue knife!
I love my Hogue Ex-03!!!!!!!!
I am homeless, so i was just looking at videos to learn new things.
I saw a couple of ur vids.
Then did more looking. Started thinking of buying a knife 😆😆😆, then looked at Kershaw, microtech?, And this company.

🦁
You make it off the streets bro?
@johnavi I did for a while driving on the road. Had to stop for a quick medical problem. Hard to find work with no recent work experience even though my class A is current.
Might sell my knives, which I was putting away for nieces college.
But thank you for asking and God bless you. 😊🙏
BTW the first knife I did buy was a Bob Loveless. Sooo beautiful. 😊
Hogue is badass!
Very nice. I would love to own one.
Very nice looking knives! I would buy one if the clip was deep carry. The only deep carry clip I've seen is for their OTF knives.
I’m sure best pocket knives you’ve never heard of would be guardian tactical or Spartan blades. Hogue is pretty neat too I guess
Had a Hogue EX-03 has side to side blade play and bad centering nothing I did too adjust it fixed the problem. Could never get it centered and with it being a one piece handle. Wanted to like it and keep it I returned it.
They look great. Quite a few of the more popular models are out of stock though on BHQ.
Have a 4" X5 and love it! Now if you could just make some with Tin or stainless scales and a new pocket clip ill by another!
