Our state is now replete with migrants from hindi speaking states like UP, Bihar and Rajasthan who don't respect our culture and linguistic tradition which is different from theirs.

I am surprised he says bengali first but thinks muslims dont speak urdu. For his knowledge most muslims in kolkata identify as urdu speaking. Other bengali muslims learn urdu in madrassas where arabic, persian and urdu are given precedence over bengali. hence firhad hakim's statement. Along with this he had also said that bengal is like 'mini pakistan' to a pakistani journalist.
along with this he had bulit a madrassa in suruchi sangha(chetla) durga puja maidan thus decreasing the overall size of the maidan.

Hell no, your information is wrong. Bengali Muslims speak, write and read mostly in bengali not Urdu. He is right when he said there's no difference between Hindi and Urdu since both have similar origins and their development started under the mughals.
On the other hand, Bengal never gave primacy to Urdu or Arabic as much as Bengali. The reason why even after the partition, east pakistan fought for bengali against Urdu imposition.
Bengali people are culturally, linguistically and historically different from Hindus from UP and Bihar. Being a Hindu isn't enough to claim or fight for our rights in India. Bengal has a distinct culture and heritage which should be preserved at each and every cost.
Bengal can't differentiate between bengali speaking hindus and muslims, cuz both belong to this soil.
Kolkata is not Bengal. Kolkata Muslims are not even 5% of WB Muslims. Yet they seem to control the narrative and the main mosques. Real Bengali Muslims live in Malda, Murshidabad areas.

Urdu and hindi are two different language as both has different script hindi is devnagri(brahmi(ancient indian) whereas urdu has nastaliq(perso-arabic). The example given by garga is absolutely wrong again he is whitewashing the religious politics and deviating it...
They are not different languages as far as etymology and origin is concerned. Hindi written in devnagari developed as a language under the period of Mughals.
A major credit to the development of Hindi goes to Tulsidas who wrote ramcharitmanas under the reign of Akbar. They are similar languages since hindi have many loan words from Persian and Urdu, but in bengali, you can't find such words existing.
Even the Muslim rulers of Bengal focused on the development of bengali language not Urdu, Persian or Arabic, the reason why bengali was retained by the people of Bengal.
This movement is purely dedicated to the sons of bengali soil irregardles of religion and Hindi imposition wouldn't be tolerated.
Script doesn't determine a language. Hindi can be written in Nastaliq script as well. Punjabi is written in 3 scripts. As is Marathi.
