Garga Chatterjee has committed one crime That he has been born as a Bengali, understands the importance of Bengsli identity and raised his voice against anti Bengali imperialism which is taboo for Bengalis. One can not mix politics with ethnic identity.
He can not exclude supporters of BJP and parties other than TMC from Bengali ethnic movement.
Also coincidentally lots of this kind of organisation emerged after TMC Debacle in Parliament election. Also all of them vehemently oppose BJP raising doubts about their pilitical aim.
We are sceptical about his political intention and ambition, keeping in mind he is a professor of ISI which makes him ineligible for direct participation in electoral politics.
Question is whether his Bangla Pakkho is mule of TMC or not.
If not then why did not he raise his voice against rampant corruption in present day Bengal

We all know about Dadabhai Nauraji's book "poverty & unBritish rule in India" that vividly described British exploitation. We care least to know about Ranajit Guha's book " The agony of West Bengal" or Sunil Gangopadhyay's " Amra Ki Bangali" that vividly describes similar mulching of Bengal& Bengali's in India since 1947 for which Nehru & Modi are alike. That’s us Indian Bengalis. So much of Indian, so little of Bengali., Even colonised people show a better self respect & concern about their own ethnic identity.
Surely ethnicity which is very foundation of one’s culture should form foundation of his or her political perspective too . Rather one should never mix religion with politics. Institutionalised religion , foundation of both BJP’s & Jamat’s ideology are medieval gibberish.
As far as I know, Bangla Paksha talks in favour of ALL Bengalis irrespective of political affiliation. Rather almost all the prominent BJP leaders in Bengal ( sp Tathagata Roy & Dilip Ghosh) throws around often ghastly derogatory comments against Bengalis , showing actual North Indian dominated BJP ideology & perspective towards Bengal & non Hindi India (“ Hindi, Hindu, Hindustan “ only).
Anyway as for your claim “lots of this kind of organisation emerged after TMC Debacle in Parliament election” I do not know any party beyond conventional parties except Bangla Paksho that have come into emergence.
BJP has come to limelight in Bengal exactly the same way as TMC came in 2011. Its sheer negative votes. In 2011 emotional Bengalis went berserk to bring in TMC JUST to end CPM rule. It was a mistake. Now emotional Bengalis are going berserk to bring in BJP JUST to end TMC rule. Fortunately it did not happen as such a choice would have spelt the worst possible disaster surpassing even the mistake of choosing TMC. BJP for Bengal is “BIJATIYO” Janata Party, its entire ideology even the brand of Hinduism that it tries to promote or juxtapose is essentially alien to Bengal.BJP simply do not respect or even accept the fundamental diversity of India. Worse so, BJP in Bengal de facto DO NOT exist. If TMC was created by discarded left overs from Congress, BJP has been created with still worse rather worst possible elements , discarded Trinamoolies. People of Bengal still have a residue of sense, that’s why they denied a BJP rule through the last mandate.
Surely one should speak out against corruption and prevailing gloom in Bengal. Bangla Paksha should do it too. Anyway I believe that organisation is actually serving that mission too, but in its own way, but it may not be doing enough. Its still not a full fledged opposition party.
