Advice if you want to find "hidden gem" type games: look for ones with very few reviews instead of negative ones! Lots of smaller games just don't get enough traction but are still at least decent.
you can learn a lot about what makes good/bad game design through playing these. like making sure the game feels intuitive so the player isn’t just running around confused about what to do or what the goal is. and also how much tutorial is too much/too little
I literally looked up a tutorial for a game engine that used the sprites from the fox game. I have a game that looks very similar to that one, where I was learning to make a game. CJ was entirely right.
So, the second game may have stole sprites from a mobile game called archero, which has the same wolf and ghost enemies. Though they also may be sprites that both games got from somewhere else, so I'm not entirely sure.

Kinaman is awesome actually, that ceiling thing would probably make speedrunning it interesting. Not to mention the routing optimization that could be done
Truly, with sound effects is much better, it raises from 0 to 1 out of 10, wich is an improvement of infinite%, and that infinite% regards to the editor.
I'm pretty sure it's based on Kinamania, who did a series called Dendy Chronicles, about a bootleg NES clone called the Dendy with a grey elephant as its mascot.
The first game looks a lot like a poorly made Knytt Stories level which I would argue actually is a hidden gem. It is however a free game. Honestly it probably would be worth looking at Nifflas for hidden/forgotten gems.

You should play Rain World. It’s an unforgiving 2D platformer that tells you the basic controls then barely guides you
