The best Sonic game of all time, hands down! This is my favorite video game of all time as well. I've played it at least 15 times now, I lost count. It's too bad they cut out the Big Arm boss from the combined version, but I'm happy its back in origins!

I always go back and forth between this game and Sonic Mania. Right now Mania is my favorite 2D Sonic game but I bet the next time I go back and replay Sonic 3 it’ll become my favorite again.
There is something about the knuckles path you can't smash through even as hyper sonic you think you could go through them as part of the reward for collecting the chaos emeralds
Why Didn’t S3&K Include The Prototype Music For Carnival Night, Ice Cap, or Launch Base? Those Proto Themes are More Suitable for Those Three Infamous Stages in S3! (Ice Cap Isn’t Infamous)

At sonic 3 air you can also enable big arms boss to all characters or only knuckles
By far one of the greatest games ever created.
