Thanks for the review! Yeah I am the one who saw the early promotional pictures description and thought that this DX set does not include the original WuKong beast form accessories, so went ahead and bought the original set only to find that now I got 2 WuKong, haha XD
You're very welcome! So Bandai's trick really worked... though it can be done only once. After this, no one will buy a second Sergeant Buster Verde. Ah, but that DX Set goes with the minions too which are like 80% the same kit...

The kit itself looks quite nice and man that price was a bit of a shock, I thought it would be at least 2k yen but nope, What a nice surpise.
I was totally ready to pay the retail price without Wukong inside, so Bandai has certainly conditioned me to just expect high prices...
There's so much good stuff coming out for this month all clumped together :') There's almost no space for non-new-release reviews
honestly , I personally be okay with the additional wukong,
the kit itself looks cool for its size and having the duplicate of this kit wearing the new attachment,
placing it for display side by side would be something I'd do.
my only problem is the stickers, for someone having big fingers , its a hustle to put every sticker on it .

The stickers took me a really long time which made me worried about kids getting frustrated / tired by what's supposed to be a simple kit
I wonder if the designers made the two forms use different parts on purpose so people will have something to do with their original Wukong so they can make both forms at once...

Try using a toothpick for the stickers. I do that for all my stickers. 😬 But use a cotton bud to iron them in once they are in place. Using a toothpick to do that would scratch the stickers.
For me this is a bit overkill, admittedly - but man... it should be super fun to paint, like all other SD kits. Thank you for the great review as always!

I gotta get me one of these and paint it up. It's absolutely gorgeous!!
I'd love to see it in some proper gold colors not only to cover up the clear parts, but also to unify that split-personality gold it has right now
@@HobbyClubhouse yeah the stickers don't look that bad but painting it in gold would really come out nice.
you can leave the blue eye piece on at all times because the gold part that attaches to the blue eyepiece isnt on the pig form
Yeah you're right, I didn't see that in the instructions at the time. Kinda wonder why the default setup is janky like that...
i dont paint my kits, nor do i like SDs, but i have this urge to just pick a gold gundam marker and colour in all the gold details on the clear parts
A lot of people agree with you and there's already post after post of people painting this kit with the gold marker. Really does look much better
I just bought the set but I cant remove the normal arm from the giant red arm 😭 please help me out with any tips to loosen it
That's the part held directly by the fist right? If so, then it's easier to take the fist off along with the big arm. If you have anything like pliers, grab the wall of the fist from the hollow side and wiggle it and the big arm's peg should budge without breaking anything
with how nice all the sd world kits are it really makes me wonder what the hek is going on in the normal sd line with the whole going back to ex standard. i am not an expert but i think that if there not doing cross anymore that this is how the normal sd line should go.
I kinda wonder if it has to do with Bandai's production capacity being stretched so thin now. The SDEX and SDGWH lines are all made by the same Chinese factory so maybe that affords the room for SDEX to exist. Really hoping SDCS isn't shelved, though it certainly feels like it...

Fantastic In-depth review. From the beginning when it was revealed, I always thought it will not be good for kids who likes to play. This video is now my evidence
I expected it to look quite bad because of the crazy details on the design, though for that they somehow pulled it off okay.
But yeah, it's really sad that this is not at all suitable for actual play...
It looks fantastic from a design point of view. Like you said, however, there are sooo many breakable tiny parts and pegs that kinda steer away from the original purpose of SD kits. Also kinda bummed that it poses like a brick in pretty much all forms except the pig form. Would still look amazing on the shelf, however, if only to stand there and look glamorous in clear parts.
It's a bit more fragile because of all the clear parts which aren't as flexible and snap quite easily. There's a lot on the kit that works against younger owners, which is kinda sad because a lot of kids will be excited by the design
Bruh I should’ve watched this video before buying the kit…I got tricked by Bandai and now I’ll have 2 Wukong Gundams lol
I would argue that the monk form doesn't work because it is a SD Gundam and has very short legs. To be able to pose that would require the model to be taller to actually be able to flex properly. Still on the monk form, the lack of coloring/stickers on the back of shoulders feels a bit jarring to me.
Still, awesome video. Even if the kit isn't one I would get for myself, it was fun to watch.
If it were the SDCS line, people would have lots of options for a body that would pose better, but sadly that can't be.
The whole World Heroes line has that problem of ugly backsides but it looks especially jarring on this kit unfortunately
I wonder if we can use cross silhouette frame here 🤔🤔
A question a lot of people wonder about, but sadly no, because the body and limbs are quite small and wouldn't fit the frame even with heavy modification

Its more like impulse’s force, sword and blast mods its a bulky sd haha but good for the sd fans
