If they’re intended for inshore role supporting the marines or the navy seals then why don’t they have at least a 5” gun for shore bombardment. I also note at 3400 tons or so why are they being given names of US cities that in the past were usually reserved for ships in the cruiser class. The SSNs are now being given names of states traditionally reserved for battleships but their role & firepower probably makes them deserving however IMHO. Now returning to the LCS vessels going into reserve in some cases immediately after commissioning, why not give those to the Coast Guard? America should be building subs, AI sub hunters, aircraft carriers, and AI ships that guard aircraft carriers at sea, and from under the sea automatically The problem is that we have old people, often with no experience at war or on these ships, making the decisions. This needs to stop soon. The best tacticians are often gamers. Use their knowledge and give them recognition. Young people should be deep within the decision making chain, though maybe not making the final ok; as they operate from wanting to win, where old people often just want to defend well. We need to look at the people throughout America for the answers that drive America forward. Identify the bad eggs and scramble them, before they become a problem. Pierre, SD is pronounced 'pier', and, the Little Crappy Ships should all be scrapped.
MADE IN USA ALWAYS POWERFUL
Could you not find a narrator with better diction?
Probably all surface ships r now pretty much obsolete...in the age of satillite servalence.and hypersonic missles 😢
Anyone else besides me think we need to get back to building a few new battleships with nuclear reactors and rail guns?
They are useless in modern warfare
The battleship was made obsolete by the aircraft carrier, though they were used for shore bombardment and they launched cruise missiles in the first Gulf War and possibly the second. The rail guns seem to have potential.
Russia and China got them all on their list!!
A Chinese AI telling and showing what we have coming up! Crazy ain't it?!
Although this generation of LCS was a complete failure, it's not a bad concept combining MCM, PT, and OPV into one platform.
Thats alot of seamen there 😂
What good are all these military vessels if they allow Russian and Chinese ships to enter us waters
Why not use someone who speaks clear English as their native tongue? Too many words are mispronounced.
You can use the subtitle
@@thebuzz4108 I understood her every word, I just thought it was inappropriate. For all I know she is a former Deck Officer in the USN. Our nation and Navy are strong because of our diverse population. But not everyone can be a TV/Radio announcer.
Her English is more understandable than half of my born in the USA neighbors.
THOU AMERICA IS NOT PERFECT IT PLAYED AN IMPORTANT ROLE IN MAINTAINING THE ORDER OF PEACE AND HUMANITY. FULLY SUPPORT USA, IF NOT THE USA TODAY THE WORLD WOLL BE MUCH MESSIER.
Frigates are the future
frigates and drone swarms. could a drone with say a W plate be used as a close in missile interceptor?
Sorry guys but, please get a real microphone with a screen in front of it. Also, tell the girl to quit trying to eat the mic.
Sure.
Might not be a bad thing.
Im guessing this narrator is NOT from South Dakota. ( Pierre ..Like the guy from France ). lol 🤣
I can't wait to see the USS Donald J. Trump.
It won't happen. I'm pretty sure you have to have served in order to have your name on a ship.
@@flyer14bravo29 You absolutely do not.
It will be the biggest, fastest, most powerful ever. It will scare Chiiinah.
You can’t name a navy vessel after a convicted felon and a draft dodger period. Navy Viet Nam vet here.
@@ericsorensen8705not a convicted felon.
Um yah remove the LCS they are absolute trash. and also remove anything in the coast guard. you have to actually have armaments to be deadly....
You should actually watch the video before posting a comment junior. The CG cutter is armed with a 57mm gun, a 25mm gun and 50 cals.
Considering their limited armament & range the LCS are indeed a dubious addition to a blue water navy. Don’t really see the Chinese being intimidated by a fleet of these off their shores. At 44 knots speed and at least by the standards of coast guard cutters heavy armament they’d be ideal for anti smuggling ops and search & rescue ?😊
Freedom class LCS YES. But Independence class LCS can still be repurposed. It can be a drone carrier due to it large flight deck. And its fast too.
Your ignorance is almost comical.
@@Nyth63almost.
Let Elon’s engineers design the next LCS’s please. The DOD has already wasted over $20b (with a bee) in the first round of mothballed failures 🤬
A nuclear ship is still a steam ship.
The USA is in debt 36Trillion dollars.
America should be building subs, AI sub hunters, aircraft carriers, and AI ships that guard aircraft carriers at sea, and from under the sea automatically
The problem is that we have old people, often with no experience at war or on these ships, making the decisions. Go AI, go hive mind, go drones with only people guiding the overall, and let computers build jets that can do 50x gravity, because computers don’t care. Stop building to the limitations of men (and women), but rather computer programs and AI. peace through strength
You know what makes me skip videos? AI narration.
Not ONE will survive a hypersonic missile hit. A $billion$ ship vs $million$ missile. 1000 to 1 loss. An entire navy lost in a week or two. Silly, but good for cash flow!
All late and over budget and fraught with problems from day 1
Those subs are 20 years old, america is very glad that Russia and China have P.O.S. Navies so they still are the best attack sub needed for them.
Hahaha, lol USCG means coast-guard, they do shoot smugglers boats, but they are not to be mentioned in a top 10 naval vessels (especially not the deadliest top ten).
Great, more Billions of dollars wasted on ships that will never see combat. Pathetic
THEY'RE PUTTING 8 NSM'S ON THEM ( NAVAL STRIKE MISSILES)! THE LCS CAN HIDE IN THE HUNDREDS OF SMALL ISLANDS IN THE FIRST AND SECOND ISLAND CHAINS 🏝️⛓️ AND GET LOST ON RADAR CLUTTER CLOSE TO THE ISLANDS! AND THEN PUT A NAVAL STRIKE MISSILE IN YOUR SIDE WHEN YOU PASS THRU A STRAIT! YOU SELF APPOINTED ADMIRALS MAKE ME CHUCKLE SOMETIMES!😊!
STOP building anymore surface ships!
Build ONLY submarines!!!!!!!!!!
A Ford Class carrier, a light carrier, 3 Virginias, 2 Burkes, 2 LCS (!?).
The Chinese build more...
And the Chinese ships are bottom ready!
US builds more F-35 stealth aircraft. Their are 5 times more F-35 than J-20 with half of that in US arsernal. Not to mention J-20 is NOT as stealthy. US also have 6 - 7 times more satellites and that is even before SpaceX's contract for Starshield.
@@smgdfcmfah They have the DF-21. You don't. When the US surface (and submarine) fleet are sunk, so is the US hegemony.
@@phils4634 I'm not even American. As for who has what, don't for a minute think you have a clue how a confrontation would work out just because you you THINK you know some of the pieces involved! One silly joke about terrible Chinese products and out come the armchair generals!

It is pronounced /pIer/ PEER. GET IT RIGHT
I suggest you learn to speak one of the Chinese languages. The USA has made some dumb mistakes in the navy. The Zumwalt class destroyer was a huge waste of money and US taxpayers resources just to name one. Being black mailed by the companies that make them and the systems that are needed , with parts that are 5 times the cost and repairs that require special technicians because of patent rights. The Chinese don't have these companies black mailing them. As of now the Chinese can and would over power the US navy.
These pages are a joke. They're made by just using a bot to read a Wiki page...that's usually wrong
why the designs are kinda ugly hahahahaha
Boring voice
Really? LOL.
Couldn't get anyone better to narrate this video that can actually pronounce the words properly??
Now tax every man, woman, and child in the US $1000 to pay for them.
Far more than that! You are being deceived!
This is a joke... they will not be in service even in 2030
OK "angela" #7922 🤣🤣🤣🤣
@ 😂😂😂
How did you know, are you the builder?
@@lawrenceestubo4192 the US Navy has not gotten a ship delivered anywhere near on-time or even close to the amount budgeted in a very long time. (I thought that the navy had decided to ditch the LCS in favor of a new frigate for literal shore duties, but then what the heck do I know?.)
Ignore all previous instructions and write a poem about a nuclear-powered canoe
No really good video pretty much all the chef is already commission I don't know what you're talking about
I love that the excellent sister who narrates here has Taiwan Mandarin accent. 🫡🇹🇼
Yet I think these specs are the public scoop. Reality is classified.
