I am so glad I found this video! Not only is it a great message, but I now know something more about a brother in Christ that I highly respect, Dr. Jason Lisle. The fact that he holds Ken Gentry to such high regard, tells me that Dr. Lisle and I hold the same view of eschatology. Awesome! We are such a small minority of the church. I really hope that God changes that soon. We need the book of Revelation to be praised for the masterwork that it is. GOD kept His word. He always does. I'm so happy. Lol

Dr. Lisle, I want to add to your phenomenal presentation that, along with the star that the Maji saw, the shepherds in the fields witnessed the great company of angels, another supernatural sign. A matter is established by 2 or 3 witnesses. Whether the two were one and the same is speculative, but would corroborate each other.

    • @jamesengland7461
      @jamesengland7461 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@Toma Rogers the "few years later" isn't conclusive from scripture. Remember that Joseph and Mary actually lived in Galilee before they came to Bethlehem and were still, or again, in Bethlehem when the Maji arrived. Something to think about, but mostly what I was getting at was the sign in the sky that both the shepherds and the Maji saw could have been the same, though it's certainly possible they were at different times.

@@jknengr796 We are all sinners saved by grace. Romans 5:12
Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned". As a result we can be victims of sin. The miracle is when good things happen to us, not bad things. Hell was made for Satan and his evil followers. They will pay the price for evil behavior!!! God has made that very clear!! Luke 12:5 "But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear him who, after your body has been killed, has authority to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him." It is better to fear God than man. Proverbs 1:7 "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction." It is wrong and self deceiving to blame God for an imperfect sinful humans actions. Faith and hope are based on forgiveness not hate. And don't forget, an act of faith is just that. Hebrews 11:3"By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God's command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible".

An amazing mind and a scholar of the Bible, along with study from ancient historians and confirming evidence found by archeologists over the years. Even going back to the original translation of the ancient Hebrew Old Testament, which is the Septuagint, if we are looking for further clarification in proper context. He always produces "WOW!" moments.

He does that because we have read passages of scriptures many times and we can fall into a pattern of glossing over it by what we have always thought it means. But, when we are praying for direction, or discernment, He often uses that same scripture, and we see it from a new way as the answer we need when we see it as He wants us to.

So true! The world sees the "Christmas card version" too much, and we can fall into the trap of seeing historical Biblical evidence as a "Bible Story", a myth, or from a poetic viewpoint. It's why the secular world has such a misunderstanding of the Old Testament, especially when it comes to the accounts in Genesis.

I've heard the Maji were looking for the star because of Daniels instruction from his revelation. & the treasure they brought was Daniels heritage, as he was a eunic and had no heir. It Makes sense especially as he was well educated as counselor to the King., he was well favored & revered by the kings and other wise men, so they would heep his request, And they were all well trained in astronomy and mathematics

Yes, but Persia was also related to Daniel who was under Babylonian rule UNTIL Persian conquered Babylon. So the Magi could have been either FROM Persia or Babylon (or another related location) and may have learnt all from Daniel. The timing of Daniel's 70 weeks was another indicator of the fullness of time and the time of the end of this Jewish era.

  • @patrickedgington5827

I think though it is only a guess that Daniel being in Babylon and having the very office of adviser to the king may have been responsible for the Magi being in the first place. That would explain their knowledge of a Jewish King to come and while it is true that many Jews returned to Judea along with Nehemiah it was still only a small portion of all those in Babylon. It is therefore quite possible that these Magi were Jewish.

Way back in 1980, before we even had the first IBM PC, Kenneth Boa and William Proctor published their book _The Return of the STAR OF BETHLEHEM (Comet, Stellar Explosion or Signal from Above?)_, Doubleday & Co., Inc. Although there are parts of the book which speak 'sensationally' about 'UFOs' of demons during the "End Times," the beginning chapters cover the Magi and then debunk all the theories of their time as to what the "star" could be, just as Jason does. Their conclusion was the same: It was supernatural; possibly the Shekinah glory of God. Here we are almost 40 years later! And if one reads Scripture as being the Word of God; absolutely true, there is no natural explanation for this phenomenon.

In Matthew 2:9 the way it reads indicates that after they left Hared, the star reappears to lead them to the place where Jesus was...

I sense replacement theory in your teaching. Israel as a nation will always be blessed as God does not break his promise, if it was replaced, why would God bother bringing it to existence again. Why not just let it disappear as a nation as it almost was, but out of the ashes (the holocaust) they came back to life and existence. That’s God’s work and promise fulfilled. Also, the apostles who are the foundation of Christianity were Jews. Paul himself said that the Gospel is salvation to the Jew first and then to the Greek, as Christ came for what was lost. Gentiles are “grafted” into the tree and not the other way around. This is anecdotic but the greatest teachings I have heard are from Jews who believe in Christ. Also, it’s interesting to note how many great discoveries in science and technology were done by Jews (as well as terrible inventions such as the atomic bomb). To me, they are people who carry blessing from old, from ancient times. God’s plan was to redeem them and to any gentile who also believes. He extended his redemption plan to all the world but Israel is still a central part of his plan. Why would Christ return to Jerusalem? Why not the United States or some other place? Because Jerusalem is still his holy city and Israel his holy land. I recommend you listen to Dr. Michael Heiser’s lectures on sacred geography so that you can gain some insight on how important sacred geography is to God. If you do, a lot of Old Testament scripture will make a lot of sense.

    Mr.Lisle.
    You are an amazing apologist.
Micah 5:2 is not declaring that Jesus is God.
But the Prophecy of Scripture is declaring that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of the Living God.
How can you call a Christian Brother a heretic for believing that Jesus was Begotten.
Since the Scripture is 100% clear that Jesus is the Only Begotten Son of God.
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
GOD the Father revealed through to the Apostle Peter.
    (Matthew 16:16,17)
We have eternal life because we believe in the Name of the Son of God.
Do we know that the Son of God was Begotten?
    Yes
Do we know exactly how or when? No
We know how and when Jesus was conceived and born on Earth. But how and when Jesus was Begotten in Eternity is beyond our understanding.
Do we know when the Trinity doctrine was conceived? Yes.
Was the Trinity doctrine taught by the Apostles?
    No
The Apostle Paul never taught the Trinity doctrine.
    On the contrary.
.....yet for us, there is One God, the Father, ofwhom are all things, and we for Him; and One Lord Jesus Christ, through Whom are all things, and through Whom we live.
    (1 Corinthians 8:6)
This is a constant theme throughout the New Testiment.
No one can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit.
For here is one God, and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus.
    Shalom

The supernatural explanation is really the only one that fits. The conjunction of Jupiter and Regulus in the constellation of Virgo clothed in the sun with the moon at her feet was definitely a sign that pointed to the birth of the Messiah, but not the star in question. The star that the Magi followed was not anything explained by the "natural" order of the heavenly bodies.

The timing of the Magi's visit to a house, even though Jesus was born in a manger in Bethlehem, not a house, has always confused me and I'm still confused about their location and when the Magi arrived.

If the magi came 40 days after Jesus' birth, then they would have traveled to Nazareth to meet him. Luke 2 describes Jesus' birth and his dedication in the Temple 8 days later. Then Luke 2 finishes the birth account in vs 39, "When Joseph and Mary had done everything required by the Law of the Lord, they returned to Galilee to their own town of Nazareth." This includes Mary's purification sacrifice 40 days after Jesus' birth as required in Old Testament law (Lev 12: 1-8). So 40 days after Jesus was born, He, Joseph and Mary lived in Nazareth. So if the magi were to visit Jesus in Bethlehem, it would have been within 40 days of his birth. If they visited Jesus when he was older, then they would have traveled to Nazareth.
Matthew never states that the Magi went to Bethlehem. It only states Herod told the magi that's where Jesus should be. Then after leaving Herod, the Magi saw the star and followed the star to Jesus' house. The house could be in Bethlehem or Nazareth. It could go either way.

The fact that Herod questioned the travelers about what they saw, where, when, etc. gives a big clue to timeline. Herod was not stupid but extremely paranoid about usurpers to his throne where he'd kill his family to save his power. After he pumped the men for information, well, there is a reason Herod selected age 2 and under to wipe out. Even the FBI would call that a clue. Obvious the men traveled from a long distance for Herod to suspect the Christ child was 2 or younger.

In the account of the shepherds there is no mention of a star over head to indicate that he was born King , only about The Angel ofThe Lord declaring His birth and then a multitude of heavenly hosts with the Angel praising God, glory to God in the highest heaven, and peace on earth to people He favours. When the angels had finished they left them and returned to Heaven...

Hasim Hodzic - God's Wisdom is beyond our understanding.
The reason why biblical verses appear across the books is to ensure that even if wicked minds were to destroy some books, HIS story would remain intact because it has been scattered across in many places. Everything need not be repeated in every book. Even in Acts and some of Paul's books the story is told.

Christmas is not biblical, but pagan. There are half a dozen pagan deities whorshipped on the same day as a birth date.
Yeshua was not born on the 25th of decem of the 1582 Pope Gregory calendar.
Yeshua was born in the seventh Hebrew month (no names to months have ever been instituted by YHWH...this is man's doing).
The beginning of the Hebrew year as instituted by YHWH to all 12 tribes of Yisra'el was always in what we now call Spring ( the biblical 1st month of the aviv [not a month "called" aviv], when the barley would be ripe for harvesting).
YHWH instituted only two seasons... Summer (qayits קַיִץ) and winter (choreph חֹרֶף), light and darkness, life and death.
The Jewish institution of a seventh-month agricultural new year is not biblical.
YHWH never commanded us to consider our year by anything other than the first month recognised by the state of the barley in its aviv stage; after all, how can a New Year start on the 1st of the seventh month, when the two last mo'ed'im of the year in the same seventh month, have not been started or completed?
When the Julian calendar was in, the Romulus month of March (mars, Roman god of war) was always the first month.
This was more in line with the Hebrew calendar as months at least.
But the Papal system couldn't have anything to do with the Jews; they spread propaganda against the Jews (Yahuwdim), they wanted Yerushalayim for Rome, and would stop at nothing to gain her.
They changed the times, days, and feasts of YHWH, all to honour their deities and idols that they had Deviously transformed into
saints in a counterfeit worship system... all against YHWH and YHWH's written commands, and to take for themselves the most Holy (Set Apart) place on earth - The City of YHWH - Yerushalayim.
It is man who has formed the two names of the periods in a Year, to four - Summer, Autumn, Winter, spring.
In fact, if it was keeping with the Bible, in terms of correct sequence, it would be Spring, Summer, Autumn, winter.
This sequence witnesses to birth, growing, decaying, death.
    Genesis
"As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never cease.”
    Psalms
"It was you who set all the boundaries of the earth; you made both summer and winter".

Not all Jews were ignorant of Christ's birth. The disciples were looking out for the Messiah. John 1:40&41. Christianity began with Jews. The apostles were Jews. They still kept the Sabbath and other festivities pertaining to Jews. In Revelation the 144,000 sealed are Jews. It's erroneous to preach that gentiles have taken the place of Israel. The Bible does not teach this. The Trinity doctrine is a major deterrent to reaching the Jews. Some of them have said this. And whilst the impressive Dr Lisle often says that God is not the author of confusion and the Bible is easily understood, the Trinity doctrine contradicts this saying because it's not easily understood and it borders on confusion.

The elephant-in-the-room irony is these alleged 'other universes' sit outside this one and are therefore supernatural by definition. This exposes their ABG theology. (anything but God)

Therefore as Daniel was castrated he would have no heir to leave his vast wealth to. Daniel calculated from Yeremiyahu's Prophecy. Daniel saw visions of prophecy. Dan 9:26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.
Daniel spoke of the Messiah, and he was the greatest of the wise men in the Babylonian/Medo-Persian empires, and having been that highly placed he would have left a legacy that was passed down to the following Maji who were counting the times and knew when the time should be.
Job 38:7 When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?
Isa 14:12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
Isa 14:13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
Dan 8:9 And out of one of them came forth a little horn, which waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the pleasant land.
Dan 8:10 And it waxed great, even to the host of heaven; and it cast down some of the host and of the stars to the ground, and stamped upon them.
Mat 2:1 Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,
Mat 2:2 Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.
Mat 2:3 When Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him.
Mat 2:4 And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he demanded of them where Christ should be born.
Mat 2:5 And they said unto him, In Bethlehem of Judaea: for thus it is written by the prophet,
Mat 2:6 And thou Bethlehem, in the land of Juda, art not the least among the princes of Juda: for out of thee shall come a Governor, that shall rule my people Israel.
Mat 2:7 Then Herod, when he had privily called the wise men, enquired of them diligently what time the star appeared.
Mat 2:9 When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was.
Mat 2:10 When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy.
Rev 12:4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.
Rev 22:16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.
Jos 10:12 Then spake Joshua to the LORD in the day when the LORD delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, Sun, stand thou still upon Gibeon; and thou, Moon, in the valley of Ajalon.
Jos 10:13 And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day.
Jos 10:14 And there was no day like that before it or after it, that the LORD hearkened unto the voice of a man: for the LORD fought for Israel.
could the star the Maji saw have been an Angel?

Something that really stuck out for me, two centurion's, These men are professional solders, that are over many other solders, this is signifigant to me, because most likely these men would have been hardened by battle to have attained these high ranking positions, yet here are two centurion's that are devout followers of Jehovah God!!!
This tells me that there were Jews producing fruit, Just as God had told Elijah, so too even in Jesus' day there were Jews producing spiritual fruit. two centurions that got it right concerning the worship of Jehovah God, they got it from the Jews who were producing good spiritual fruit.
Rom 11:2 God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew. Wot ye not what the scripture saith of Elias? how he maketh intercession to God against Israel, saying,
Rom 11:3 Lord, they have killed thy prophets, and digged down thine altars; and I am left alone, and they seek my life.
Rom 11:4 But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal.
Yes much of Israel were as apostate as their leaders of Jesus' day, but there were some that got it right, Mary and Joseph for example, Mary was highly favored among women.
Mat 8:5 And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion, beseeching him,
Mat 8:6 And saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented.
Mat 8:7 And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him.
Mat 8:8 The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.
Mat 8:9 For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.
Mat 8:10 When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.
Mat 8:11 And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven.
Mat 8:12 But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Mat 8:13 And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour.
Luk 7:1 Now when he had ended all his sayings in the audience of the people, he entered into Capernaum.
Luk 7:2 And a certain centurion's servant, who was dear unto him, was sick, and ready to die.
Luk 7:3 And when he heard of Jesus, he sent unto him the elders of the Jews, beseeching him that he would come and heal his servant.
Luk 7:4 And when they came to Jesus, they besought him instantly, saying, That he was worthy for whom he should do this:
Luk 7:5 For he loveth our nation, and he hath built us a synagogue.
Luk 7:6 Then Jesus went with them. And when he was now not far from the house, the centurion sent friends to him, saying unto him, Lord, trouble not thyself: for I am not worthy that thou shouldest enter under my roof:
Luk 7:7 Wherefore neither thought I myself worthy to come unto thee: but say in a word, and my servant shall be healed.
Luk 7:8 For I also am a man set under authority, having under me soldiers, and I say unto one, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.
Luk 7:9 When Jesus heard these things, he marvelled at him, and turned him about, and said unto the people that followed him, I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.
Luk 7:10 And they that were sent, returning to the house, found the servant whole that had been sick.
Act 10:1 There was a certain man in Caesarea called Cornelius, a centurion of the band called the Italian band,
Act 10:2 A devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God alway.
Act 10:3 He saw in a vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an angel of God coming in to him, and saying unto him, Cornelius.
Act 10:4 And when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, Lord? And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God.
Act 10:5 And now send men to Joppa, and call for one Simon, whose surname is Peter:
Act 10:6 He lodgeth with one Simon a tanner, whose house is by the sea side: he shall tell thee what thou oughtest to do.
      Act 10:7 And when the angel which spake unto Cornelius was departed, he called two of his household servants, and a devout soldier of them that waited on him continually;
Act 10:8 And when he had declared all these things unto them, he sent them to Joppa.
Act 10:17 Now while Peter doubted in himself what this vision which he had seen should mean, behold, the men which were sent from Cornelius had made enquiry for Simon's house, and stood before the gate,
Act 10:18 And called, and asked whether Simon, which was surnamed Peter, were lodged there.
Act 10:19 While Peter thought on the vision, the Spirit said unto him, Behold, three men seek thee.
Act 10:20 Arise therefore, and get thee down, and go with them, doubting nothing: for I have sent them.
Act 10:21 Then Peter went down to the men which were sent unto him from Cornelius; and said, Behold, I am he whom ye seek: what is the cause wherefore ye are come?
Act 10:22 And they said, Cornelius the centurion, a just man, and one that feareth God, and of good report among all the nation of the Jews, was warned from God by an holy angel to send for thee into his house, and to hear words of thee.
Act 10:23 Then called he them in, and lodged them. And on the morrow Peter went away with them, and certain brethren from Joppa accompanied him.
Act 10:24 And the morrow after they entered into Caesarea. And Cornelius waited for them, and had called together his kinsmen and near friends.
Act 10:25 And as Peter was coming in, Cornelius met him, and fell down at his feet, and worshipped him.
Act 10:26 But Peter took him up, saying, Stand up; I myself also am a man.
Act 10:27 And as he talked with him, he went in, and found many that were come together.
Act 10:28 And he said unto them, Ye know how that it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a Jew to keep company, or come unto one of another nation; but God hath shewed me that I should not call any man common or unclean.
Act 10:29 Therefore came I unto you without gainsaying, as soon as I was sent for: I ask therefore for what intent ye have sent for me?
Act 10:30 And Cornelius said, Four days ago I was fasting until this hour; and at the ninth hour I prayed in my house, and, behold, a man stood before me in bright clothing,
Act 10:31 And said, Cornelius, thy prayer is heard, and thine alms are had in remembrance in the sight of God.
Act 10:32 Send therefore to Joppa, and call hither Simon, whose surname is Peter; he is lodged in the house of one Simon a tanner by the sea side: who, when he cometh, shall speak unto thee.
Act 10:33 Immediately therefore I sent to thee; and thou hast well done that thou art come. Now therefore are we all here present before God, to hear all things that are commanded thee of God.
Act 10:34 Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:
Act 10:35 But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.
Act 10:36 The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:)
      Act 10:37 That word, I say, ye know, which was published throughout all Judaea, and began from Galilee, after the baptism which John preached;
Act 10:38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
Act 10:39 And we are witnesses of all things which he did both in the land of the Jews, and in Jerusalem; whom they slew and hanged on a tree:
      Act 10:40 Him God raised up the third day, and shewed him openly;
Act 10:41 Not to all the people, but unto witnesses chosen before of God, even to us, who did eat and drink with him after he rose from the dead.
Act 10:42 And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead.
Act 10:43 To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.
Act 10:44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.
Act 10:45 And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Act 10:46 For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter,
Act 10:47 Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?
Act 10:48 And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.

Well John, did you watch the videos I suggested? If not then get bk to me when you do. If so then you know that because I completely believe the scripture I will tell you that Anything is possible with God. Now, how did they date the craters, radiometric or carbon. Both have been discredited. So I will just say that my faith is so strong that you will not shake it. Just as you have your faith in people or scientists telling you what to believe. None of us were there so any scientists can justify anything if they try hard enough with the same old, "well we believe" or we think it's possible that". But there is one thing that is not disputed by historical facts. The people in the Bible actually lived and are accounted for by archaeologists as well as historians. I wasn't there either but, I believe it. So let's again agree to disagree and I'll leave you to it. I will close and will not reply again except to say, As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord

@@garywalker447 it isn't at odds at all. As a matter of fact the planets, stars and galaxies do exactly what God said he put them there for. First to display his glory. Second to be for signs and seasons. And basically to help guide us in his knowledge and vastness. We used to use the stars to navigate by as well as for tell things about crop growth etc. It would take too long to write it all. If you would have a more open mind and read the scripture then research the cosmos from a biblical view you'd understand it. Two videos if you watch them and get bk to me. If u don't watch them in their entirety then don't bother. But ill pray for you to see the lies and indoctrination away from God that's been going on for centuries but, in the new age starting with evolution theory. Videos are: what you aren't being told about astronomy vol I & II. That's just for starters there are tons about DNA and disproving evolution. There are so many scientists, who were agnostic and atheists that have turned to Christianity because of the overwhelming evidence that's been brought to light in the last 50 yrs. And it'll keep getting brought out until no one can deny gods existence, theyll at that time just be making a choice. But the mainstream will still keep spreading the lies to keep you all blind. No billy, there is NOTHING about the greater cosmos in your bible. There is no explation of the planets and there is no firmament as you bible describes. The cosmos of the bible is bullshit.
Oh and DNA PROVES Evolution because of the similarity between not only the fuctional DNA but the same pseudo genes appearing in similar species and the same pattern of ERV markers in related species. Common designer does NOT explain why dysfunctional pseudo genes are retained in the genome.

I have as a Christian always looked at the universe and everything created both visible and invisible good and evil as subject to a sovereign All-Mighty God under His power and control, down to the smallest particle. The Bible says that the footsteps of a good man are ordered by the Lord. That doesn’t mean that the wicked can do as they please, even Satan must obey the boundaries that God sets as displayed in the book of Job. He knows our thoughts before we think them, implies far more than just being able to read our minds, from the one who made us and knew us before the foundation of the earth, Who knitted us together in our Mothers womb, Who knows us completely far more intimately than we know ourselves. Add to that He knows the end from the beginning, if by saying that you realise that there is no end and by the beginning you mean the start of Creation, there is no beginning or start to our Creator. He knows absolutely everything that there is to know and His knowledge is without limits. Nothing can happen to Him by surprise like, I didn’t know that that was going to happen, everything He has planned and purposed and He doesn’t make mistakes. Jesus fell face down and prayed,” o My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me: nevertheless not as I will, but as you will. This is The Son of God, the very object of The Father ‘s love, the very Creator of the universe, the One that The Father could not possibly Love more. Nobody could have greater persuasive powers than the very Son of God. Now I must insist that at that point in time that if there was another way that would achieve the end result that Creation was purposed for then The Father could have undone all of time and started over, when people ask why I believe that that is the answer. People also like to say that the creation was perfect to start with but the Bible doesn’t use that word at all. You look at the creation account and The Lord only is saying good and very good, if you mean that God perfectly achieved what He purposed to make you would be correct but that is not what is being said. If everything that God made was perfect then Adam would not have fallen, that is not my idea of perfect. By saying this I have not attacked His Word or contradicted it. His word is perfect but the creation He Created was corruptible. With Creation I believe that The Lord set an essential process in motion that ends with a perfect incorruptible universe void of sin and death, full of joy, love and everlasting fellowship between God and His children or His Wife and so on. If the Bible says that the Lord is not willing that any should perish, we aren’t talking about the will of a man. The Bible says that the Lord does what ever He pleases, that means that if He says that He is not willing that anyone should perish. Who is He referring to when He is saying that,” anyone should perish? “ those who He came to seek and to save, Who then are those who are perishing? The answers to that question is obvious in that it is not the ones chosen in Him before the foundation of the earth but the subject is one that is often met by hostility even though we on earth have no definite way to know outside of ourselves the real numbers being saved or lost, only biblical guidelines so we can get an idea in our own circle of experience. People have a habit of jumping to wrong conclusions based on ignorance but I have always believed that because I believe in a perfect Loving all knowing God, that when I am with Him and He tells me answers to all those things that I might ask, I know with confidence right now that nothing He has done will cause anything but praise. I have a quiet confidence that there’s more to understand about the lost then people are realising, this is a result of prayerful study and I am not prepared to go into this subject any further in my comment here. My advice is to obey Scripture if you want to know more about the subject “ seek and you will find, knock and the door will be opened. God Bless to all my brothers and sisters in Christ...

Daniel 9,24 Seventy weeks [of years, or 490 years] are decreed upon your people and upon your holy city [Jerusalem], to finish and put an end to transgression, to seal up and make full the measure of sin, to purge away and make expiation and reconciliation for sin, to bring in everlasting righteousness (permanent moral and spiritual rectitude in every area and relation) to seal up vision and prophecy and prophet, and to anoint a Holy of Holies.
25 Know therefore and understand that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem until [the coming of] the Anointed One, a Prince, shall be seven weeks [of years] and sixty-two weeks [of years]; it shall be built again with [city] square and moat, but in troublous times. 26 And after the sixty-two weeks [of years] shall the Anointed One be cut off or killed and shall have nothing [and no one] belonging to [and defending] Him. The step of logic that many make that I can’t understand is the idea that it was 2 years because Herod killed those under 2.
1If you wanted to be sure to kill a new born, you would kill those up to a certain age. I’m sure that if Herod thought that Jesus could have been 2 years old, he would have ordered all under 5s to be killed
2 he didn’t necessarily know how long the Magi had been travelling.
3 if the Magi had been following Daniels prophecies, they could have set of to arrive at the time of his birth, not after, the star could just have been a confirmation.
4 the distance from Babylon to Jerusalem is about 500 miles. You can cover over 30miles per day on a horse, so I see little reason to expect the travel time to be more than a month.
The idea that Jesus was actually born before 4bc, comes mostly from Josephus reporting that Herod died 4bc. This is thought to be a copy error and earlier copies have 2bc. Josephus is also not necessarily 100% accurate.
I would love to see a discussion with different experts to try to tie down the year of Jesus birth, his death and which day he was crucified.
From my accumulated information I would propose:
Born about 2bc at feast of tabernacles in September.
    Started ministry at age 30.
    3.5 years ministry
Entry into Jerusalem 10 Nissan (time of
Crucified, Wednesday, erev pesach (14 Nissan) in year about 32ad.
Rose sunday, feast of first fruits.
    Coming back .........soon.

Dr. Lisle argues that the Star of the Messiah could not have been a natural object or phenomenon , so it must have been a supernatural one.
"It was not a fixed star, nor a planet and the phenomenon excited the keenest interest. That star was a company of shining angels, but of this the wise men were ignorant."
(Ellen White - Desire of Ages: chapter 6 "We have seen His Star")
So here we have an actual doctor in astrophysics (and one of the most brilliant Christians on the planet) , aligning with what the Spirit of Prophecy says ... With Science !
    How cool is that ?!

I think it’s possible that the Magi first saw the star “at its rising” (because they are fanatical star watchers), but this was something beyond their experience. A star rising in the west?!? So they then search their vast library for anything that happened like this before, or had been prophesied to. Because of the Jewish captivity, and especially Daniel’s position as the leader of the wise men, they had Jewish scriptures in their library (though perhaps not Micah. All the books of the Old Testament weren’t all in one volume).
When they found the prophecy, they made arrangements and set off for Israel, perhaps partially because they are power brokers, and this was part of their diplomacy.
They may even have come to realize it’s truthfulness because it was something unheard of in all their (vast) knowledge. Seeing a star rising in the west, that was predicted hundreds of years earlier would definitely have made an “impression” [my understatement]. It certainly would to me!
And then, like you said, perhaps they got discouraged because of the obliviousness there when they got to Jerusalem. But then the star reappeared, and so on....
I have no basis other than a hunch, but I strongly suspect it was about a year’s time, and that Herod doubled the time frame for the murders just to be sure. A tyrant like that would, at least, double the time frame.
Anyhow, that’s my food for thought. It you made it this far, I would love to hear your thoughts about this.
