Retro Longplays Fun fact: The creator of Mario said that Yoshi wasn't possible on the NES. This game actually proves you can do Yoshi on the NES. Mario Is Missing, & Mario's Time Machine also have Yoshi.
@DamnMerasmus True. After playing the game, i can say at least they tried. The game has ankward and irresponsive controls and the music is almost crappy. But huh, at least it's not a bad bootleg, at least it's playable until certain point.
Even the ending music isn't original. Its from the title screen of Taggin Dragon. Which in it of its self is unlicensed. m.th-cam.com/video/W27-Zq-gYbY/w-d-xo.html
I love the looks hate the sound,12 minutes and 14 seconds and i can't take it.I thought the star music was kinda cool, and the map music was pretty well done.It definitely looks worthy to play.
@@lindomarribeiro1628 Yeah, but Yoshi doesn't really function in those games like he does in this game. Of course you can put pretty much any character in an NES game, it's all about how it's programmed that determines whether or not the NES can handle it.
In the 80's when Miyamoto wanted to do it, it wasn't possible because of the cartridge limitations, that's why Mario couldn't even go back in the stage, of course this was made many years later when it was easier and more was known about how the system worked
Probably the most painful bootleg music I have ever heard. Even though it looks decent, the mechanics are slow and clunky, and the failed limit of colors make the game very depressing. I know I wanted a SNES bad when I was a kid and was forced to just NES and Gameboy (Brick) but I'm glad I never even heard of these ripoffs. What is sad is that Hong Kong 1997 was more legitimate than this bootleg port.
People complain about the music but I'm just as impressed by it than anything. The Snes version is kinda of a showpiece for the soundboard for that system, so the fact they got so many notes in there (all though the pitch is all fucked up)
I am playing this on my Super Console X Cube. This game has so many blind jumps, and I am only at World 3. The later half of the Castle in World 2 has jumps that are impossible to make because the roof blocks the platforms. It is interesting to play through, since it has different level design, and in a way it is more SMW. But the controls, blind jumps, slowdown, hitboxes, and questionable level design are problems that makes this hack more frustrating than it should be.
It has different level design than the orignal, and the game is much more challenging due to the controls. I always thought SMW was too easy, so it is neat to find a version that requires more thinking than just holding right and strolling through the levels. Obviously the original is miles better, but it is integrating to play a version that ramps up the difficulty.
Yes, except it isn't official. This version was made by taiwanese pirates known as Hummer Team, who also put Donkey Kong Country, Final Fight 3, and Street Fighter 2 on NES

Very fainthful port. Of course you not gonna find many things from original game.
But for NES port, it is very good. But controls a bit bad.

I better be able to get this game on a cartridge off of Amazon soon.
@NeppySH2 where would I find that.
Miyamoto:you can't put yoshi on nes.
Hummer: Hold my diet water...
Because there are so little levels they putted yoshi
super mario bros 3 mix:hold my diet water
Yoshi (Nes): Am I a joke to you?
Yoshis Cookie: Am I a joke to you?
More like a diet water infused with halal and fair trade coconuts.
The music killed my ears.
Same..... Hello is anyone there I can't hear anything!
it's okay, just don't use headphones
They tried recreate the music with the NES jingles and I think it is perfect except for the ones that are wrong soundtrack like 1-2

fact : a bootleg developer team called Hummer Team ported the original Super Mario World to the Famicom (Japanese counterpart to the NES).
