GSXR K6 750 rebuild with a bit of help from my apprentice mechanics 😊
Hey what path did you take for the engine? Did you blast the motor as is? Or did you disassemble the engine down to the bare cases? Also when you do the frame I'm completely familiar with the Scotch Brite system and all that.. but did you re anodized the frame clear or use automotive clear coat on it? I have several bikes I would like to get into... But without protecting the finish on the frame I don't want to get involved in having to constantly brush the finish out. Any helpful hints or advice is appreciated 👍
Absolutely brilliant to see kids away from the ps5….. well done mate👍
@@TheRizzlaathat was the main reason to get them involved. 😂
Thanks, great video
Fantastic restoration. I have a '78 GL1000 that is identical (pre-restoration) to yours. How long did the restoration take? How much did you invest? Did you just repaint/polish the engine (no rebuild)? How about the final drive? Was the frame powder-coated? Did you get the gauges serviced? Thanks!
@johnclifford1911 it took just under 12 months from start to finish. 9 months waiting to get all the chrome work back. I put over 300 hours into it, coming in about 3.5k spent.
Now that what you call a motorcycle 🏍 just Beautiful PHIL MAGUIRE IRELAND
Wunderschön.....
Where can I find a wiring harness for my 78 gl1000 cafe racer
Me encanta esta moto.
Stunning work. Got a 93 blade, love the 90s bikes they have so much character.
@leemcnair8500 I've got a 93 blade too. Check my sort videos. There is a walk around video of it.
@@MarkReynoldsRestorations Yeah see that mine is a USA import. Love my CBRs got a 92 400 and 92 250rr as well but would love a ZXR750 to go with them.
Hi Mark, I've currently got the bike & potentially sold to the new lucky custodian. He has asked me if you converted to electronic ignition or kept the points? All the best - Tim
@PurpleHelmetMotorbikes Hi Tim, it has the original points. I did suggest to the owner during the build to go with electronic ignition but the parts list was getting expense so decided to stay with the original points.
@@MarkReynoldsRestorations thanks very much 👍
@PurpleHelmetMotorbikes I have thousands of photos of the build if the new owners wants them.
Good chance he will, I'll let him know. 😊@@MarkReynoldsRestorations
De toute beauté , j'adore😊
Might be one of the most impressive things I've seen. Might have learned something too.
@@nonyabusiness4151 it makes all the hard work worthwhile getting positive feedback like this. Thank you 😀
Such a iconic bike , love them 😊
Nice bike. I like it.
I had the exact same bike, bought it new in ‘78 while I was living in Oman. Awesome machine. Mine was in burgundy, slightly darker than this, although that could be down to lighting and no engine bars. Loved riding it, fast and smooth and no chain maintenance! Wish I still had it and often wonder what happened to it.
@@PJD_55 bet you wish you still had it.
@@MarkReynoldsRestorations I do, absolutely 💯%. That and my Triumph T160.
Simply amazing.
I'm restoring a 1976 GL1000. It's not a quick job, it's a long term hobby!
@@stevejones1318it takes as long as it takes. 👍
Would you please be able to provide me with the Make and model of the pipes that you installed?
@archivecontentsrestoration387 it's a aftermarket Motad exhaust.
Where you get that from?
Fantastic restoration. Beautiful job. Well done.
@@usmcesu6thank you 😊
Take my money
Another Good job. Still got the fireblade?
@spencerburrows3525 yes still have the Fireblade. Still my favourite bike. There is a video of it on here. Check out my other shorts. 😏
Nice bike
Very nice! did you use vapor blasting for the carburetor?they looks new!
@EneliGG yes, I had them vapour blasted.
@@MarkReynoldsRestorations thanks for your answer. Then why not vaporblast the frame? im restoring my nsr250 aluminium frame.
@@EneliGG the frames are painted from the factory. So a vapour blasted finish wouldn't be original.
@@MarkReynoldsRestorations ok i get it. thanks and congrats for the nice work you done on it
@@EneliGG thank you. Feel free to message me if you have any questions on your build. I've got an NSR250 project coming soon.
Éste tío es un artista. Enhorabuena desde España, Málaga, Vélez-Málaga. Gracias a seguir así.
@antoniopastorvico9523 gracias 🙏
That's a fine looking Bike . I like the older wings especially naked with original seats.
Ei eu preciso de um chicote desse novo aqui no Brasil. Nao tem me a juda
👌🏽👌🏽sterling work!
Lovely work👌🏽
I'd have to change those high bars.
@andrewbates2816 I can't say I was a fan. It's originally an American spec so want to keep it original.
@@MarkReynoldsRestorations yeah I know, I'd still change them.
Quelle remarquable restauration.... une merveille ! Bravo
Thank you 😊
Amazing... stunning work bravo 👏🏻🥇 How long you have been working as a mechanics... I do appreciate your efforts and share this ... Keep it up....🇸🇦💐👌🏻
@abdulazizsaleh9567 Thank you. It's just my hobby. I'm not a mechanic full time.
Do you have a motorcycle 471 thousand🎉
Hello good evening do you have any homework going one thousand motorcycle for sale🎉

I’m doing this exact bike restoration as well😅
@Ereezyy hopefully this gives you a bit of inspiration 😆. Have fun, they are great bikes.
Glorious, love them original GL1000,s than the later ones
This is the most beautiful girl I've ever seen 😍
You gotta have an nc30 in your life.. you haven’t lived otherwise..!!!!😊
Timeless beauty, honda choose well.. brilliant work 👍🏻
Absolutely superb job lads 👏🏻👍🏻. That’s one stunning rebuild to the highest standard 👍🏻. Would have been nice to hear it running as that engine is one of the greats by Honda.
There is a video on here of the first road test. Also some clips on my Instagram page @man_cave_projects
I hate it. Was the owner of an -86 Japanese import Fzr400R and thats exactly how they should be: An -86. Only an unrestored survivor will make me pay up to own one again.
Good job it's not for sale then 😂
hola como logras el color aluminio original , con que lo limpias ?

У меня тоже Fzr 400руки как-то не доходят , да и времени нет, стоит пылится , иногда завожу. Если кому-то надо могу продать за 150 т.р.

nsr50 is legend🇯🇵
Great little bikes.
Beautifully restored 😉👍🏼
Thank you. This was one of my first builds.
