Yeah, I tend to go for the highest difficulty only once for an achievement then go back to a very low number. Honestly, it lets you do more stupid stuff, and doing stupid stuff is just more fun.
Instead of trying to do damage on the last boss's charging turn, you could try to save some of the higher energy cards for the turn where you need to block 30's. It's still good to charge the tri-powers with lower value energy cards though. It's a tough fight for the build! Tripowers need a lot of energy cards to power them, especially with multiple ones in the loadout,
So I think I understand the strength thing from midway in the video. Placing energy into a unit gives it Strength. Strength is simply the measure of the damage that a unit will output. The reason that one unit says, “whenever this gains strength” instead of “when you play energy in this, deal equal damage to the enemy” is because there are ways to gain strength without playing energy into said unit. In fact, one of your modules this run does this. The module that adds 2 strength to every attack unit effectively says, “when you place an energy in this unit, all your attack units get 2 energy placed in them EXCEPT it doesn’t take up one of their slots.” The difference between energy and strength when it comes to an attack unit is: energy requires an open slot while adding strength to a unit does not require a slot to be open.
I haven't made an effort to calculate anything but it might be possible to beat the final bosses turn 3 there by not doing anything on turn 2 and keeping your cards. I know that means you deal no damage but most of yours came from the two legendary thingies anyway.
I have a min max tip for you. Try to always pick up treasure in revards first becaouse you might get a piggy bank and after that you can pick up the usuall coins you get from battle to get value of piggy bank faster, and also a building blocks treasure which increases you max hp by 1 for every unit you pick up. Since the normal order of reawards, by taking everything from top to down you would never get that +1 value to piggy bank or building blocks. I know it is very little amount but sometimes it definitelly would help in case if you vere needing just 3 more coins to buy something very good or to not die because you dont have 1 more max hp.
9:16, you can enable a setting that shows you a number above all energy that says what in what order that number is and you can use that to more easily use keybinds of numbers to pick up energy very quickly on a cursor and you dont have to hold down a button to keep holding it. You can quick load energy like that. I myself mostly use just Q to pick up right most energy and 1 to pick up left most energy.
The white reactor is all about using lots of white energy, and the weapon number three is all about making lots of white energy, that's basically 3 procs each time, I was sad you never felt trying them together. I wanted to see that combo at the end over trying to have both strength pumping units at once and removing your source of energy there
This is one of my favourite series/game! It's dicey dungeons+cobalt core (2 of the games I love the most). I cannot wait to see what the devs have in store!
5:11 WHO THE HELL ARE YOU AND WHERE IS MY OLENKY?! I didn’t come to this channel to stare at a TH-cam video in distress thinking, “oh no, he’s gonna blunder and the comments are going to be really rude and then he’s going to burn his entire TH-cam channel to the ground and I’ll have nothing to watch after work because I watch Reto’s videos on my lunch break so now I’m gonna have to eat lunch in silence and save his videos for my Olenky dinner time!!!!” only to be completely put at ease when your neurons start firing on hyperdrive and you do the smart play.
In the end I did not fully understand how your build works, but one observation: your first attempt at boss fight was the best, being 19 damage short to kill him, all the latter ones were further away. IDK if there was a way to slightly optimize your first attempt, but maybe doable.
I think if you had put your white reaction crystal back in, and placed it nexto to the double white dual cannon and the diffusion aura, you could have gotten a lot more damage out. The diffusion aura would have given the crystal 4 damage per energy (2 from each effect), and 4 more from the cannon for a total of 12 free damage in the middle row
The unit dealt damage when it gained strength, and u were also giving it power, and power works by giving the unit strength as soon as energy was loaded into it. So as long as u put an energy in after activating that power thing it dealt a bunch of extra damage
It can be worth it to save energy when the boss gives takes a turn to charge up. I’m not sure if it would have been enough to beat the final boss, but it still would have been closer.
the opponent you one shotted had 1 health, I guess the gist of the opponent is "I have a lot of power but if you manage to overcome me, you win" except you had a way to deal direct damage without having to overcome your oponent
Definitely dont care about the views, i have only ever seen a few of your videos but saw the first video you posted playing this game and loved it. Saw you had a second video and got happy, then after watching that one and not having another one was kinda sad. After getting home from work and was about to watch another vid of you playing the goblin peggle game but saw this video and genuinely got so happy its almost sad. For whatever reason i really like the look of this game so at the very least know no matter how many videos you post of this game you have my view lmao
Ok, i am not that good at the either to be honest, but when the boss gives you the free turn sometimes its just better to not use the energy, and save it for the turn after. I haven't done the calculation for it, but I think you would have survived if you did so. Otherwise, thank you for the content, I love watching this game.
Having energy generation is very crutial in his game, or having to load less energy to get a good value is also very good. Next time try to think about generating energy. Great video tho!
Yeah you don't have to play high difficulty. Only when you would like to get achievement for beating difficulty 8 and i think that is everything higher difficulty based.
Thank you olexa, you're making me realize I'm not obligated to engage in the ascension system and I can simply play on the one I want.
👏normalize not forcing difficulties on players for unlocks👏
It's a system for YOU the player to tailor your difficulty to the level you like.
Totally agree, but some developers lock content behind them. Poo poo system
There is meta progression making you strong, though. So without upping the difficulty to match the game gets easier.
Yeah, I tend to go for the highest difficulty only once for an achievement then go back to a very low number. Honestly, it lets you do more stupid stuff, and doing stupid stuff is just more fun.

The duelist ship that you killed with 1 energy did have just 1 hp
So I think I understand the strength thing from midway in the video.

Yeaaahh another part of it, loved the first one🎉 i really like how you talk out your thoughts that makes it really interesting😊
I haven't made an effort to calculate anything but it might be possible to beat the final bosses turn 3 there by not doing anything on turn 2 and keeping your cards. I know that means you deal no damage but most of yours came from the two legendary thingies anyway.
@43:59 the guy had *one* health. You did two damage to him instantly by loading power into the instant-damage cannon.
I have a min max tip for you. Try to always pick up treasure in revards first becaouse you might get a piggy bank and after that you can pick up the usuall coins you get from battle to get value of piggy bank faster, and also a building blocks treasure which increases you max hp by 1 for every unit you pick up. You're guaranteed to get one fuel after each battle so my rule of thumb is one move is free per battle.

The Duelist fight was like that clip when a guy spins a sword and a cowboy ahh guy just shoots him with a gun
This is one of my favourite series/game!

Alot of the time u lost out by filling in the energy one those cannons and then activating the 5 power on them
Huge fan of the content around this game
yay I love this series so far
Hell yeah more Lonestar! Ive almost finished all of the metaprogression and it is great
I had to also do a double take on the Duelist fight as I wasn't looking at the hp XD That was hilarious.
43:45, the enemy has lot of energy and strenght but it has just 1 health so you killed it with dual cannons getting ANY strength.
It can be worth it to save energy when the boss gives takes a turn to charge up. I’m not sure if it would have been enough to beat the final boss, but it still would have been closer.

🫡 see you tomorrow for another gamer
@@OlexaYT going back to watching your peglin content in the meantime 🖤
it's really interesting how much you can modify the energy pool; by the end of my last run I only had a 5-6-6
I really like the dual cannon run. It let you do some pretty funny damage at times, but it feels suboptimal when it comes to the actual duals. Idk.

Oh, you said this game goes to level 10. You're so innocent~ It goes all the way up to I think in the 70s?

You made my day Olena
I was literally hoping you would Upload this
It my way of calming down After a Long stressful day
great run!!! Keep em' coming!
Excited for this, and for more decked out!
Couldn't agree more on ascension systems, theyre cool but like, i just wanna have fun man, not torture myself
It's Dongdong time!
the “dormamu, I’ve come to bargain” button
7:35 that unit was ctually really good, every other attack (assuming u put in 2 energy) you would do 7 free dmg
love watching lonestar! :)
Hype for Lonestar!
Hey I was wondering what video recording software you use and if you had any suggestions on what to use
OBS, use OBS.

views shmiews. i don’t know ur channel very well but good game and good watch whatevetahhhhggghhhhhh
43:15 is Tori, not a Tungsten Rod 😅
Ahhhhhh you’re right. I’ve been out-spired
Let's go, more lonestar content
Imagine just being conservative in the final boss with the energy instead on being greedy in the free turn.
You don't need to attack him if he doesn't actually die while you do... could've just saved the energy for the defene turn
sick game!
I stan dongdong
Yeah you don't have to play high difficulty. Only when you would like to get achievement for beating difficulty 8 and i think that is everything higher difficulty based.
I would like to see you play RoguebooK.
This game has RimWorld music?
that dueling ship died cuse only had 1 hp n ur cannon when loaded deals damage straight away
Third! Let's go, this game looks awesome!
DONGDONG!!!!
