    I tried using Singer instructions = fail. I've tried at least SEVEN other TH-cam videos on this = fail!! This is a perfect video, in my opinion! It gives you the tiny details that actually make it work when no one else mentioned those details! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!

    Thank you! I always watch videos before i try stuff. I like that you said i just have to pull the foot apart - i was trying to find some sort of release lever to make the ratcheting easy (instead of scary).
    The other video I watched suggested putting straight pins along the ends of the hole to protect them from overzealous ripping.
    And i never knew that the brush had a seam ripper in it😂

None where as good as this one!!! I'm blown away, just practice make them and WOW!!!! The others never mention the details about pulling that PUSH level all the way down??     Thanks so much, I have been wanting to make a vest, and thought how would I make button holes, and you showed me how. I have the same machine, and 2 out of the 5 button holes came us shorter than the others, so I had to rip them out and redo them. Your video was a great help - thanks!

    Well, this machine can create only small button holes. What if I would like to have 1.5 inch or longer button hole?

      For buttonholes, the machine setting chooses the correct position for each part of the buttonhole.

      That happened to me. You have to make sure the lever is all the way down and push it back until it clicks. Hope it helps.

    My mom's singer did button holes just fine without changing presser feet.

    I saw a sugestionn where a needle or pin was put just before the end of the uncut stitching to ptevent the ripper from cutting too far.

      Yay! You should be able to push it back up into place. You may have to wiggle it ever so slightly to make it go back up.

I NEVER tried to do a button hole with my old machine! But with the Supera I really wanted to achieve it. Thank you very very much!❤❤❤

      I believe the one you’re referring to adjusts buttonholes. If one side is much looser than the other

    Lol my 4452 died after 18 button holes. All plastic gears and internal cams. Singer is just a former name of quality not today's cheap Chinese plastic junk. The machine is only 6 months old and singer said sorry, maybe a local repair center can fix it....there are none...sewing machine repair places don't want to touch them, they are not worth fixing and it's obvious they have abandoned today's junky name brand
