Trevor is the most underrated comedian. Very educated comedian with educative comedy and positive attitude. I moved to SA last year to get my Masters but I’ve been a fan for years. When I landed at OR Tambo they had lost my luggage in Cape Town (never lost my luggage in years of travel but of course SA Air managed it) and I was rather distracted but then the announcement lady came over the loudspeaker and I just started laughing so hard I forgot my troubles. Trevor isn’t performing a joke here, he is straight up channeling the lady. My arrival in South Africa was saved by remembering this segment. ♥️ 🇿🇦 Thanks Trevor!

I always enjoy Trevor's stand up, but the energy when he performs home is something else. Although I don't always get the references at first, because I am not South African, I always find what he does in SA to be a little bit better (for "It's my culture" is still his best one yet), even though I admire his ability to adapt from one country to another.
You are absolutely spot on. I’m South African & he’s 10 times funnier doing comedy here than when he has to conform to his US audience.
I've noticed that with other comedians such as Irish and Scottish when they perform in their home countries. They are just that much better, and their audiences understand them so well.
I've always said his American and worldwide tours are different from the energy he brings home

That woman must have seen the best comedians the universe has to offer. It just makes her story more interesting in my head. She allowed herself to approve of only one joke in this entire segment, and awarded it with a slightly open mouth, still trying to supress the very point of going to a comedy show.
