You know who told the Jews to add Cannabis to the incense for the Holiest of Holiest? God himself, but I doubt you would read the bible in Hebrew, or follow up with biblical archeological findings.
Just because humans corrupted the usage of these chemicals found in God's creation and get deceived by other entities, does not mean these are gateways to such things.
OFC people just go for the new age garbo, occult and corrupted ancient cults claims on psychedelics rather than knowing the science behind psychedelics and the fact that was used for worship in ancient Israel.

Today’s industrialized concentrate marijuana is also causing psychosis. My son experienced three psychotic episodes (Cannabis induced) . In his psychosis he hallucinated and became delusional. He appeared to be a different entity with each episode. He claimed to be Aphrodite and became obsessed with Greek Gods. His last psychotic break his art was of Quetzalcoatl and Ra. He even made alters in his bedroom.
He was hospitalized twice and tested positive only for THC.
He ended his life by suicide two days before Christmas 2021 at the age of 22.

I am so sorry for your loss that is so heartbreaking. What you said about the cannabis induced psychosis is very real! It happened to my 22 year old brother he’s gone into psychosis twice. He’s living in a homeless shelter because my parents had to kick him out because he’s so violent and has schizophrenia. There’s many doctors who’ve came out and said that there is a huge link between weed and schizophrenia. This episode is extremely important and timely. Ayahuasca and psychedelics are fast becoming the gateway into what can be described as a great secular occultism. Often, people who partake don't know they are practicing classic occult arts but rather believe they have discovered a third way. It can lead someone to be arrogant in their knowledge/experience because they think it is new and unique. And it is to them. But is not new. Its very old, very religious and the denial of this fact is astonishingly ignorant. And it is by lack of knowledge that the Lord's people perish. The greater church needs to address this head on, not dance around the issue, because only the true Christ of biblical Christianity is the antidote to its draw, and promise of secret knowledge. Great job on this brothers!

Agreed. This has been my own personal pet topic for close to 20 years now and it's disconcerting to see it coming to such a head. I fear it's gonna get much worse. I've tried so many times to have reasonable conversations with these modern "shamanistic" acolytes and they're very nearly never receptive. Some are more intellectual and try to frame things in terms of Jungian archetypes and such, while others don't really care about any overarching philosophy. They just want the spectacle and novelty of experience and accept it all on its own terms. So long as there are some consistent voices on this topic in our culture, I think those whom God is drawing will be able to find resources and, hence, the truth...and The Truth.

So we'd rather people growing up without a vivid experience of life after death? I thought the resurrection was the main concept of Christianity, and psychedelics not only tell you about the resurrection but allow you to experience it. And as such experience Christ. I WAS astray and now I firmly believe that Christ existed and also that he died twice so that we as a people would know the immortality of the soul. The problem with church is they only tell you about it but nevermore will allow you to experience for yourself which is the only place true belief comes from. It may be occult but the experience it gives you is the experience that the original baptism or transmutation of the bread and wine at communion would have given the original church followers. Those church rituals were originally introduced to allow people to have this experience of the resurrection in a controlled way without the use of shamanic entheogens (shows you to God) because they have the potential to cause fear. We don't need to ban entheogens and they aren't the problem, people just need to know how to use them. And if the church really wants to keep kids from doing it then they should re instate the proper baptism or REALLY teach communion so that we as Christians might meet our savior. The only way to assure that people will believe in something unseen is to allow them to see once. I think from the Bible the phrase is show me a sign? Well a vivid up close experience of death and it's subsequent rebirth with Christ is THE sign that we should all be privileged to. I've been much happier and much more productive in life and receptive of Christ since my first Resurrection experience.

@@jamieduke5659 thank you for your reply. you are the exact person I was referring to. And no friend, the purpose of Christianity is not knowing or experiencing resurrection before it happens. God specifically condemns the use of what is called pharmakia, the koine Greek term for hallucinogens. It is closely associated with witchcraft (shamanism) in many cases the term is actually used interchangeably. It was the method people used to communicate with spirits (gods) active in other dimensions. These spirits are demons (fallen ones whose sole purpose is to deceive).
The way the church has failed in the area is it hasn’t openly affirmed the experiences people like you have had. It’s real, you had them, you spoke with ascended masters, or the old gods. Full stop.
BUT, The reason the church will not allow it is because God calls it an abomination deeply sinful. Sins like this are symptoms of original sin and the unrepentant who relish in them won’t be admitted into heaven as a result.
The experiences are a curated ruses put on by spiritual entities and because you do not have a framework for what why or how, you accept what is experienced it as true and good, as the shaman will say. The ruse of it is, as you mentioned you feel as though you have experienced resurrection but you haven’t. You experienced a shadow or simulation in a curated dimension. No it is not baptism, nor equal to it. You are using Christian names and terms but do not know the context.
If the experience truly has brought you close to Christ, can you tell me His gospel?

You could not have picked a better topic to round out this season! As a Christian, at one point a couple of years ago I got curious about DMT through various podcasts hyping it up. I prayed about it, asking God if there was any wisdom to be obtained through the use of those substances. He answered me in two ways ( one within seconds and the other within minutes). First, he brought immediately to mind the passage in Leviticus 10:1-3. It has been hypothesized that Nadab and Abihu tried to worship with hallucinogens which I am now more inclined to believe since that's what he brought to my mind.
The second way he answered me was that, shortly after praying, I got on TH-cam and, lo and behold, front and center of my recommendations was a interview between Michael Knowles and a former consumer of mushrooms. (This isn't a plug for that show, but I maintain that it was excellent). What ensued during that discussion was eye-opening.
Anyway, to make a long comment longer, I greatly appreciate you brothers for the good work you are doing in this area of our waning culture. May the Lord shine through you, that we rise to see a new dawn. Post tennebras lux. Grace and peace, brothers.

I was puzzled, and dismissed the text. But when I saw her the following day, she showed me a voice-mail that she received from my phone. The voice-mail sounded like I had called her phone from my pocket, as you could hear a patterned thrashing of clothe rubbing together. But then, a raspy voice began repeating something in the muffled message: "I'm possessed, I'm possessed, I'm possessed, I'm possessed, I'm possessed..."

I’m so glad you mentioned the parallels between transcendental meditation and hallucinatory drugs. There was a fascinating but little discussed cover story in Harper’s Magazine a few years back about how meditation induces psychosis in people. The article was written from a secular viewpoint but the spiritual implications throughout are clear and horrifying. The article is called “Lost in Thought” by David Kortava and I highly encourage you to read it…perhaps something worthwhile to explore further in a future episode. Megan Vogt’s story as described in the article would certainly make for a compelling Haunted Cosmos opening (in fact, much of the article reads like a HC script hah). Anyways, I have investigated this issue quite a bit so please let me know if you would like me to share additional resources.

    • @Yesica1993
      @Yesica1993 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

Wow that was a horrifying read. It does surprise me that a secular magazine would bring attention to this!
This, and other comments makes me wonder if she had some sort of church background and had rejected it:
"Then a torrent of dark thoughts came rushing in: Is it the end of the world? Am I dying? Why can’t I function or move? I can hear the Buddha now. He is telling me to meditate. I can’t, I’m so confused. Is this a test? Am I supposed to yell out “I accept Jesus as my Lord and Savior?” What am I supposed to do? I am so confused."
And this was something I thought everyone knew:
"In other words, mindfulness was not invoked to savor the beauty of nature or to be a more present, thoughtful spouse. According to the Pali suttas, the point of meditation was to cultivate disgust and disenchantment with the everyday world and one’s attachments to people and things."
“Megan never blamed the meditation and she never saw it as a medical problem,” Jordan said. “For her, it was a spiritual crisis.”
That's exactly what it was. And unless she repented before the end, the devil seems to have won. How tragic.
What a horrible, sad story. Poor family.

I did a lot of hallucinogenics before coming to Christ and let me just say those experiences felt so real. I’m so grateful that God brought me out of that life style. (I was high the moment I was saved, but the Lord is gracious and I have not gotten high since that very moment, though it’s tempting. It’s been 5 yrs) But it is still hard to shake sometimes, the experiences rise up against my knowledge of God. God holds fast to me and reminds me that he is greater than my experiences and even was with me when I went through that. He KNOWS. And he is good. He is faithful to draw me back. The secret knowledge is so false but looks so real. God has changed the way I think about these things! 🙏🏻

Let me preface this with the Lord Jesus Christ delivered me like over 7 years ago hallelujah. But I used to smoke a lot of meth and trip on psychedelics occasionally. When Id use every few weeks I would throw myself into this state that would last for days or even weeks where I could hear voices telling me all sorts of crazy stuff. Usually just threatening and mocking me but occasionally being playful and encouraging. I recognize now it was all a ruse to pull me away from the truth of the gospel. They hit me with stuff about aliens, ancient bloodlines, that I was supposed to be a famous actor and was being invited into something secret and prestigious. I was more addicted to the madness of it all than I was the drugs. At it's most intense it was always hellish, I felt for a time the condemnation that rests on the wicked. An interdimensional hell that loomed beyond what we know to be reality. Feeling realer than real is exactly right because it is, it's eternal. By God's grace I don't have to experience that anymore. I'm long since delivered by the KING of Kings and LORD of Lords Jesus Christ. I live the most amazingly simple life. I have a beautiful family, I love my job, I get to share what He's done in my life and experience the goodness of nature and recreation as I sojourn through this world. I didn't earn any of it. Not by might nor cunning but by His Spirit do I consist and have my being. I didnt have anyone to talk to about this when I was going through it what seems like a lifetime ago and to hear so many things confirmed in your shows is such a blessing. My experiences would fill an episode or two but it's not about me. But yeah maybe you could do a show on disembodied voices. Anyone who struggles with them understand your only hope is Jesus Christ. I guarantee you what He did for me He is more than willing to do for you. 💯🙌✝️👑🕊️🔥

This is the practice of scrying. While I myself have not practiced this method of contacting entities from the other side it is known to be extremely potent. Especially if you have a natural disposition towards psychic/ESP phenomena. People in this thread need to spend more time reading and conducting research rather than simply dismissing anything outside the Judeo-Christian forum as "demonic" or "satanic." It's what ultimately lead me away from the church as every priest I spoke with about these subjects hadn't the slightest clue as to what some of these teachings truly are. And as soon as that happened , my dad was in the other room and heard him laugh it sounded so sinister and creepy . I know what it was now . Many combat veterans have seen positive results from psychedelic therapy treatment for ptsd, tbi, anxiety and depression. There also have been positive results for those who have suffered a stroke and dementia as well as alzheimers. There has been clinical evidence that tbi has been healed by the use of hallucinogens where conventional medicine has failed. Or what about people with ptsd or tinnitus ??? See you don’t care about people you just want people to suffer and live the dark ages again. I’ll pray for you. I think anyone who served are county deserves medicine that can help them with their PTSD.

I find it fascinating that so many world religions, spiritualities and worldviews are dependant on the idea that in order to achieve "higher knowledge" or to interact with the divine you have to either free your mind from your body or be in some altered state of consciousness, be it through pharmaceuticals or meditation. The idea is basically that you can't trust your sober mind to understand real truth.
Christianity on the other hand is the true thinking man's religion. The bible is replete with commands to be sober minded, to avoid mind altering states (alcoholism, drugs, etc), but instead to love the Lord with our whole heart, soul, *mind* and strength. It seems that the world religions, particularly pre-Christian religions and gnostic type religions (you can add Islam to that) do exactly what Isaiah warned about, calling good evil and evil good. They worship the creature, rather than the creator. It really is Christ or chaos, and the devil and his minions really don't care what form of chaos you choose, just so long as you choose to reject Christ.

@@johannesstephanusroos4969 Sadly, antipsychotics and psychotropic drugs can be scarier than the disorder, and are never a cure. They can treat some of the symptoms, but are mostly guesswork and trial and error. Long term effects haven’t even been seen in some of the newer drugs. They can affect your eating and sleeping habits, and completely change not only your moods but your personality. Many sufferers stop taking it bc they think they’re cured, or the side effects become too overwhelming, and are stuck locked in a vicious cycle. Fear of the stigma prevents money from seeking help or admitting they have a problem. Family and friends may feel helpless and afraid for their loved ones and for their own safety in living with them. Unfortunately, a lot of these people ended up on the streets, especially after the deinstitutionalization of mental institutes in the 80s and 90s. Even with our amazing modern advances in technology medicine, mental illness remains poorly understood and treated.

Interesting talk. I was in the ministry for 15 years and after losing my faith, I eventually began experimenting with psychedelics and learning about Hindu philosophy, and it took me from being an atheist to a pantheist.
Psychedelics definitely aren’t for everyone, and they can be challenging. But in my experience, on the whole it’s been positive. Sure, some people do horrible things because of what they’ve seen/heard while tripping, but how is that different than normal? People do horrible things all the time sober.
I still am going to try DMT one day to experience it all for myself and make up my own mind as that kind of is my philosophy and main problem with Christianity. It’s all based on faith and trust that the testimony of the Bible is true.
If that works for you, more power to you, but I want something more a little more than that. If I meet a dragon, I’ll be sure to ask it if it’s the devil and if it knows Jesus. Maybe we could do a podcast about it :)

It's really interesting to listen to both sides when, of course, no one knows what is true. That said I would not advocate using DMT. Having used it, it feels reptilian and evil and for that reason, I've stopped using it. Then again, it is the only reason I even became interested in Christianity whereas before i was basically against it. Shits weird man. I find it very hard to follow any beliefs but lean towards there being a good creator.

And the spiritual bad guys (I kinda take that from Heiser's teaching on the Divine Council) are fighting all the good that God started. They will take us and mess with us, looking beautiful and fun and godly or Christ-like and the final end is destructive.

If you read enough of people’s experiences I found a repeating theme of people after several trips they started having some encounters with a more malevolent entity and I guess it just ended up being called the “DMT demons” or “machine elves”. I think the fact people instinctively refer to them as demons says a whole whole lot. I always had Gods voice that made sure I was too terrified to ever try any type substance (even when I would smoke pot). I luckily was able to “scare” my oldest(21 yr old now) son to stay away. I feel like it puts you in a spiritual weak place that opens you up to demons and you (because you haven’t stayed sober or vigilant over your spirit) are compromised to possession. That’s my personal thoughts on these particular type drugs.
