So far in my experience. RB Sabo has been great at my locals. Havent lost to lucci nor BY luffy yet. But i am running a heavy black engine instead of the aggro route!
Nice vid! RB sabo is one deck I’ll always try to make work. Your build is really similar to a build I would use back in 05 to beat my local sakas and enels with the straw hat engine and brook specifically putting in overtime in these matches. I’m shifting to try to build him more black than red and I’m excited for new Hina from the smoker reprint for this lead. She is hard to remove with the plus cost and gives a rested don to lead. It’s worth a shot if u enjoy the lead, but I know u lean more into the red side of a lot of ur decks
Thank you! Haven't looked into any of the new cards coming in the reprint starters yet but will def take a look. Yeah i prioritized red because I thought sabo would struggle with black cards without a built-in cost reduction or trash ability like lucci. Curious to hear how your testing goes!
I really like moria on this sabo, with the 2k counter brook, you can get moria, a borsa/karasu for example, and the brook making you hitting by 7 and getting the ability in 8 don!!
i brought a Navy Sabo list i saw on JP twitter to locals one night and the lucci matchup is very easy, it’s just a game of protect the kuzan. puts them in a very tight spot, highly recommend

Took this leader to locals this recently! But i didnt face luccis... normaly i face multiple a night but the one time i pick a counter i miss the matchup -_-
What are your thoughts on the 5c Hina to freeze an opponents attack? Would it be worth running over Sabo blocker? I’ve also been thinking to try the 10c Shanks that can K.O. a 10k or less to clear a kid or zoro jus to help against the Bonney matchup
Yeah learned this lesson the hard way practicing last night haha. I’m trying to figure out a way to give the deck a shot in the mu because right now it seems totally one sided

I kind of assumed that Sabo would struggle with the navy package without the built in cost reduction that other leaders have but will give it a try

Classic off-meta experience. Every time I change my leader to counter a popular deck it happens to me too

Think Sabo is definitely preferred. Very hard to beat the cycle & ko prevention against yellow & black.

I love this leader, but gets totally dominated by rp law. If that could be solved I think it becomes incredibly strong with 5c Hina blocker.

Tht first enel was awful my 9 year old makes smarter plays
I was genuinely thinking about dropping the game because I hate what Bandai has made the black color so R/B sabo is my only hope 🥹
Well there's going to a ban announcement soon so hopefully some positive changes come from that!
