I knew she was not a manipulator and told the truth to the deputy when she warned us about what would happen.

I know they are all sad antagonists, but Faith is the saddest.
Abused by her Dad, to then be abused by the cult. She never got to be better, because she was never given the chance to know better.

It's not true. The game doesn't really show or tell her past other than from her mouth, but if you talked to Tracey (maybe before you kill her and this mission) and liberated Eden's Convent, she had someone. She had Tracey.
Was she really so abused that she was willing to abuse and kill others for her 'savior' Joseph Seed? Both actions are extreme. She had someone and she turned it all away, probably cuz Bliss is a better drug.
I refuse to believe she was mind-controlled like Marshal Burke since she even has the awareness to say she was drugged and threatened. Granted when Sheriff Whitehorse was drugged, he has moments of sanity to even warn the Rook to hurry up saving him, does that mean the bliss 'forced' on Faith was more potent that she can say all the things she said as well as managing her region?
I believe she had a choice and a will of her own. She's either crazy or a psychopath, and for me, it's kinda hard to feel sympathy for her after what she's done to people. What makes her/their life more valuable? Life is precious.

I love that moment where she reaches out for you and you back away. She looks so hurt. As if that's the first time in a long time that someone has rejected her.
That probably caused some flashbacks of her youth when everyone just bullied and ostracized her.

A lot of characters in the game foreshadow things, to a suffocating degree.

Every words before her death is how it started, how it will end.
Just a tip? when Faith multipllies herself, the real one is the one with floating red petals around her.

I mean Faith deserved to die for what she did, but her story still got me in the feels. She realized what she did in the end was wrong and I honestly wasn’t expecting that.
She realized too late.
the father used her own vices against her, to get the result he wanted. and in the end it got her killed. really tragic man.

the devs could have made the mission in such a way that it could save Faith by removing the effects of Bliss from her body and mind, instead of just letting us kill her with no other choice left. I really felt bad having to kill her. Didnt felt like that for John Seed tho.

06:24 that slight nod that you can barely see if you dont pay attention. Before you inching back, she was full of hope but you inching back made her realize something that she probably has heard or seen from Joseph, reality came crashing down and she just knew and in the end, accepted her death.
I really felt bad after finding out her back story and then when she reached out and the player steps back.
Wise choice though because she could have tried to control him like she did to sheriff whitehorse. However I feel really bad because she's been misguided and mistreated her whole life and you can't even help her now. It sucks man I found her one of the most interesting characters in Far Cry 5.

This has to be the most tragic and depressing of the boss battles in the game, maybe ever. I shed a few tears, even though it was just a game.

her back story was kinda sad, but not tear worthy. in the end she had to be dealt with, as she was killing people with a drug, that she herself tried to get away from. kinda hypocritical.

She didn't killed people with the drug she tried to get away from but was just hooked on to a new drug drug and brainwashed into believing that it brings peace.
She is not consciously hypocritical....
Of course she had to be "dealt with" but stopping her wouldn't necessarily mean killing her.
She could have been redeemed and helped out of it especially considering how young she still is.
I would say she is the most tragic and the antagonist with most redeeming qualities in the entire franchise.

i wish Jacob and John had more content and character development; with Faith we learn her whole story of why she joined Joseph, but for John and Jacob all we know is that they're both Joseph's brother and they were all abused by their parents
David Vue they all have character development, despite of both being the worse, they have a tragic background that drives them into what they are. They were once a victim, but became predator to victimize others based on what they've been through.
Actually, Jacob experienced hell during a war and it changed him, and John's abuse turned him into a psychopath

John abuse turned him into a sadistic psychopath, and made him devellop the "power of Yes". Because he only knew this. Turning him into what we knew.
And finally Faith : Sorrow and reject turned her into a manipulator, rejected by her community and emotionally abused, she joined Eden's Gate, hoping finding a familly, but she just found herself in the same hell than before. She used the bliss to be in a perfect world, where nobody would be able to threaten or to hurt her.
All the characters are tragic, some are just more likely to draw compassion.
John kinda does tell you about his backstory. All the Seeds tell you moments of their lives that really have driven them over the edge
John was abused by his adopted parents that made his confess his sins to the point all he could say was ‘yes’.
Jacob and his friend were stranded during the first gulf war, and had to spend 10 days stranded in the desert until he cracked and he was forced into cannibalism to survive
Faith, you see her story, but Joseph. Joseph’s wife died in a car crash and his daughter was left in agonizing pain. She was thing Joseph had in the world and Joseph didn’t want to see his daughter suffer the way she did. To the point where he killed her
And with all the seeds the way they were treated when they were younger reflects in the way they ran the town
At first faith was sexy. But after watching the whole game I felt bad that she got so lost in the bliss. She could of been so much better

From there on, i was just running in circles around her so she couldn't hit me. I wanted to listen to her as i knew i had to finish her off, i wanted to save her so bad. In my mind i was just telling her to talk to me more, tell me what had happened to her, tell her it would be alright. And i was chanting her theme in my heart *'Help me Faith'* with tears in my eyes.

Yeah when I fought faith I was blind to see her innocence cause after seeing her kill 2 characters all I could see was how much evil she acted I thought to my self " the people of hope county was wrong she's not a siren she is a witch!" Until she said "none of this was my fault!" That's when it hit me so basically I considered killing her was mercy

I remember me and my sister playing co-op through the game, and we had gotten Adelaide unlocked so we could all fly helicopters together. When we got to this fight, Adelaide had glitched out and was in the fight arena with us standing behind us in the fog, and we did not know she was there. This led to the single funniest gaming moment we had ever experienced, when out of literally no where, we here Adelaide loudly say, "WHAT THE F*CK ARE WE DOING HERE?!" And we both start laughing through the first seconds of the fight and turn around to see her standing there, probably pissed off cause we weren't going anywhere 😂
Bruh I just realized when Faith said you decided the ending and if you don’t listen to him he’ll be right is foreshadowing the two of possible endings there are

Her mental state from the start of the battle to the end is wonderful, music aside. It starts from her calm and soothing persuasion as we already experienced, in the middle she starts to be furious and demands your surrender else you will die, she starts asking furiously why won't you cooperate. And at the end she starts admitting there's wrongdoing in all this, and how she was forced to be transformed to this evil person she is today. Quite simple, and yet so elegant. Well played.
This game is fuckin great! Very Wildlands feeling, but that's a good thing... LOVE it so far!!

Her backstory is horrible, but she's still a psychopathic liar who knows all about the hypocritical shit the Cult did to people in the name of their false beliefs. She also admits to knowing that she was manipulated via drugs and threats by Joseph when she was 17, yet defends and glorifies him immediately after doing so anyway.
So yes, she was bad, incredibly so. If her life when differently then maybe she wouldn't have been.

I didn’t want to kill faith seed when I did this playthrough I somehow wanted to cry she was probably abused from a young age and was not able to live a normal life out of fear of being killed by “the father” I wish we could’ve saved her from the cult and brought her out of the bliss instead of taking her life, what a sad story this was but others see that not everyone is always bad, some people only show what they want to be seen but behind her smile is a lot more then happiness, you can tell by the look In her eyes she has seen more then her fair share of death and sadness 😪 I know it’s just a game but this happens as well in real life, she was a lost soul and deserved so much better then what she was given, Rest In Peace faith 😪❤️

Damn, her story is heartbreaking they make you feel bad for killing her. Even in your first encounter you become sympathetic toward. Clearly the girl she told that story about was her that tone left little to the imagination as to who it was. Chances are the cult would have slowly ended her after she outlived her usefulness just like the previous Faith's he recruited so in a way you saved her by giving her a quick peaceful death.

I think the developers missed an opportunity here. We never really see faith physically but only in a form of bliss or in the bliss world. We only saw her in the first part but her face was darkened and blurred a little due to against the light. But what if Faith's appearance was also a lie and used hallucinations to alter her appearance to the way she wanted via bliss and people affected by bliss will see that as well. That's why she looks so damn attractive and maybe thats her ideal look and because of her sad story, I suspected she looked far more dreadful than that. That's why at 5:55 I thought that was her "real" face but she was actually just bruised up from getting beat up by the deputy. I was expecting like messed up hair, darkened eyes, ripped dress and whatever a depressed druggie looks like

At 6:56 Listening to faiths final words pretty much predicts the ending of the game and the final choice. She says that you will have to chose and that if you refuse (as in not walking away) that the Father will be right which in that ending he is as the bombs destroy everything. But if you walk away you prove him wrong because the bombs never come. Just thought this was a interesting detail that sort of redeemed part of the ending for me

her backstory made me sad and that last bit about her confessing that she was threatened and manipulated at 17 made me despise joseph and his brothers to the very core and im glad i got rid of em in the most satisfying way.
