Practicing herbalist here. The very best way to get red Korean ginseng into your body from Maximum effect is to buy a pound of the whole roots that come in a box. Get the ones that are at least four years old. They will be dried and somewhat hard. Preheat the oven to 350. Rinse them with water place them in the oven for about 3 to 4 minutes they will become soft. Immediately after you take them out of the oven cut them into little 3/4 of an inch to 1 inch cubes. Let them cool down and they will dry back into a more hardened candy-like state. Have one of these every morning after you wake up. They are very pleasant tasting for most people . Just let them dissolve and swallow as you do. You're welcome. You'll be amazed.
Glad some people are going to try taking it this way. Totally pure and the effects are much more profound then with any kind of tincture or standardized capsules. Some people may avoid taking them in the evening as the energizing effects can lead to the difficulty falling asleep. I always take it in the morning.

My experience with Red Ginseng occurred around 35 years ago. Every day I would chew a short piece of it and within a week I noticed that I could run up the 97 steps to the top of a large stage at Warner Bros. Studio, get to the top and walk rapidly to the center of the stage to begin my work with the lighting cables and not even be winded or gasping for breath. Before I began using the Ginseng I had to stop a couple times going up those stairs, catch my breath and slowly continue climbing. Once I arrived at the top I always had to pause for a few minutes to gather my strength to continue my work. I thought I had discovered a fantastic, natural, useful herb but after a couple of weeks using it my gums began to bleed. I only used the Ginseng sporadically after that and when it was all gone I never bought any more.

I’ve been gearing up for weight loss. I know for a fact that a low calorie diet is a stress for me. I’m going to try this! I can deal with hungry, but the stress makes it so I can’t sleep!
Thanks for all your replies! I do focus on quality calories. I did keto for a couple of years, didn’t lose a pound. I feel better with a low/moderate carb count. And I know protein is essential!
Caloric restriction = yo yo diets. You will lose the weight and you will gain it back. It is not a good long-term strategy. Low carb seems to work for most people long-term. Check out Cronometer if you need information on Micro and Macro Nutrition. People on low carb can lose weight without caloric restriction. I have lost over 50lbs without going hungry.

It's nice to see ginseng coming back into the spotlight. But there are a few things I've learned after experimenting with it for several decades now. The most obvious thing is that there are several different kinds and they DON'T work the same way. So it's good to learn the difference between red and white ginseng, because even the best quality of each will give you different results. You can't just say "ginseng" and expect to get the same thing. There are also some "ginsengs" that are actually different, though related, plants that contain some of the same components and some different ones, like Tien Chi Ginseng and Northern or 5-leaf ginseng. Also, in my experience, "standardized extracts" are not reliable. I'm not sure why that is, but since they're generally less expensive than high quality roots so that should say something. Some may bee effective, but some are a complete waste, and there's no real way to tell until you try it. The best way to experiment with this one is to either get those little ampoules that usually come in packs of 10, or but the root or root slices and brew it up the old fashioned way.
I took panax ginseng liquid capsules too young (teens and early 20's) for somw time and started getting chest pains, stopped taking it and the pain stopped as well. Ashwagandha before bed has been good for getting a solid night's sleep, but will look into the different kinds of ginseng again.
@@nicolash6553 This is why it's good to learn about these things in their cultural context. I first started exploring herbs when I was in college in the 80s, so most of the information about Ginseng was in the context of traditional Chinese Medicine. They discourage the use of ginseng in very young people (under 30), since the "energy" doesn't disperse well and tends to get stuck, especially in the stomach and torso. When I took it in college, it tended to cause my stomach to cramp up and it usually took about 6 days to full go back to normal. Chinese herbs are, traditionally, nearly never taken by themselves, but usually combined with other herbs. In the case of ginseng, it's very often combined with digestive herbs to help the "energy" work more harmoniously.
Ashwagandha is like having a heavy blanket over your stress. It is amzing. Unfortunately, i had a hard time with random hard times through the day. I took it for 6 months and the that problem happened over time. I also took gensing for years. Its kind of an energy boost. Thats it
Thomas! Rhodiola Rosea is also an adaptagen. It may be the one MORE POWERFUL than Ginseng and Ashwaganda. It is used for training the Russian Special Forces in extreme temperatures. It is a "real Norse medicine" and I'd love to hear your take on it!
I have tried rhodiola rosea extract (HSNs one) and taking 2x400mg capsules did not work at all, took it for 2 weeks and even doubled the dose to 4 capsules. Dont trust people who say you need 6 weeks to feel effects. You need 1-2 weeks max. Shoden ashwagandha (1x400mg capsule a day) works best for me. Panax ginseng makes my heart race. Remember cycling adaptogens is key. I am now trying holy basil leaf (800mg) + lemon balm leaf extract (1800mg) combo right now.
I have an as of yet un-diagnosed heart issue (working on that - but I live in Canada and its very slow going). I found RKG made the situation worse for me and so I tossed it out. Careful with this stuff.
This is not medical advice, the red ginseng is heating so not good for people with any kind of heart condition or too much yang which most people have nowadays, this is why Chinese go crazy over American ginseng that is more cooling...
Routine Ashwaghanda always made me feel tired and weird anyhow. Glad i found this video because i just received my bottle of Korean panax Red ginseng 1650mg. Nutra Champs is the brand i bought. Can't wait to try it out.
Ashwaghanda works but it makes me sweat and I get acne from it, like a teenager, yet I am female age 63. HRT is what really helps my anxiety. Progesterone specifically.
I have experimented with many supplements and adaptogens. I am currently using holy basil, Ashwadanga, etc, yet my number one to go to when i am under major stress is a small milligram of dhea. It combats cortisol and does all great things for the body. (With that said, I am at a mature age and know my dhea levels.)
I agree I also use dhea it lowers cortisol greatly, however for me it tends to increase my estrogen, and I already take that. it is hard to dose, right now I am trying 1/4 of a 25 mg pill, and cut my estrogel dose in half. before I was getting estrogen dominance (freezing cold, miserable, weight gain etc.) I'm 63 and on BHRT since 2010.
@loneranger7573 I am on hrt also. I started with only 5 mgs of sublingual dhea and found it to work great, yet its also very strong. I now only use half to quarter of the pill when I feel my body could use the support. I don't dose every single day. I feel that's not necessary with dhea.
Between Ashwaghanda and RKG that I've been taking, it's really helped me handle long-covid symptoms. Something post COVID started affecting me and started having me experience far more anxiety and panic attacks (which I've never really ever had prior) while also affecting my sleep. It's gotten a lot better but I also couple breathing exercises in times I notice an increase in anxiety and panic like symptoms.
I've had some friends discover that their anxiety came from having gut health problems. They realized that they had low potassium, began consuming raw sauerkraut, fixed their vitamin K2, D3, magnesium, and testosterone levels. Anxiety gone. One of them even discovered that his low testosterone was causing his energy drain feeling. It turns, in men, testosterone is what sends the message to our bone marrow to produce red blood cell levels. Low T=low red blood cels and hemoglobin=low energy. I love science!!

I’ve found Yerba Mate very beneficial in this regard, really focuses the mind, wakes you up and just makes you feel good,, "Mate is a powerful adaptogen - that is, an herb that grows in extreme conditions but adapts and thrives in a harsh environment. As a result, adaptogens contain high levels of antioxidants and saponins that defend the plant against disease and make them resistant to insects." I started drinking it last month and I HAVE to have it at work. Really helps, At home I make it the traditional way in a gourd and bombilla, but at work I make a flask full brewed in a Chemex what I normally do my coffee it, I boil my water to 65c any higher and it wastes bad to me. That works really well.
Never felt anything on Ashwaganda. Ginseng, I have it. Not sure about that either. Had Best "adaptogenic"results from NAC, Tongkat Ali, Shilajit and ofcourse NMN which works best in combo with something that magnifies it like resveratrol or TMG. The test Tongkat Ali free's up is a godsend.
Piss the nmn off - its a scam. Substitute it with straight up B3 (niacin or nicotinamide if the flushings an issue). Ive just saved you hundreds of $$ per annum. Thank me later 😉
Has anyone else had uncontrolled blood pressure, anxiety & fight or flight episodes cause by sleep apnea? We’re talking during the day, mostly. I’m taking ashwaghanda, bp meds, use a mouthpiece & am about to go on nocturnal o2 as I also have central vertigo that is likely secondary to the apnea/o2 dips at night.
Hi Thomas, I see you mentioned Korean red Ginseng is this also true for Chinese Ginseng, American White Ginseng, or even Siberian Ginseng. I'm sure the makeup is different, but it should have some of the same properties and offer some of the same benefits. Much is also offered from Mushrooms complexes which are fantastic.
So a good reasion to drink Red Ginseng tea, and yet adding all of the benifits of other herbs and spices, like Turmeric and Ginger. What would you say was the few best Tea blend balance for what effects?
This is why video games are so great, you know whether you're collecting American Ginseng or Alaskan Ginseng, RDR2 teaches us you can brew them into a tonic that'll help you replenish your healthbar and manage the stress of getting shot or mauled by a cougar. The more you know.
Problem with ginger, ginseng, various teas,...or any product along those lines is - how and where grow? What was sprayed on the plants? Handling after harvesting? When was it harvested? Have seen products take years from harvest to process then to warehouse to warehouse to ship to warehouse and then a year later to the store.
If I could reduce stress and anxiety everything would be so much better. I have tried several different remedies from diet changes, to prescriptions to supplements that greatly help for a month to 45 days then the effect tapers off until it provides little benefit. I will watch this later as I need to get some work done..
That is what I thought when I took panax/asian/korean ginseng (which are the same thing). My heart did not relax. And for most people with chronic stress, high blood pressure oftens is the main symptom and you don't want it to get even higher. Therefore herbs like ashwagandha, rhodiola and holy basil should be better for most people. Remember: cycling your adaptogens is key.
I was following you until you said Wim Hof was a freak of nature. You didn't listen to what he said, or take into account that he taught 12 other people his methods, and every one of them had the same results under laboratory test. Proving he's not a freak of nature, he's simply teaching something that humanity has largely forgotten over centuries. What gives? Do some more research into him before you throw out that kind of misinformation. Wim Hof has a massive following for a reason, and that is because his method works.
I use that mic too, but how do I make the other LED red so it looks like a xmas tree like that!?! Super interesting video. I love...whatever all this is ✌
Stress is all about how you think about a situation .There is no "Stress" out in the world , only the meaning you attach to something and how you react to it. Sky diving could be great fun to one person and terrifying (stressful) to another. All in your thoughts!
no not quite. Stress is the difference between external forces and your own capabilities. If you still can act, it is usually eu-stress, god stress. If you can not act, for whatever reason, it is distress, detrimental stress. not in the mind, but in the body. there is something like the stress hormones. That's a feature of the body. Yes, a lot of dis-stress can be alleviated by the power of mind. But not all. (The leopard hunting you down is not just in your mind)
This is how the British special forces look at things, the more we know about a certain topic the less we have to fear it or get stressed over it The SAS say "Knowledge dispells fear".
If you compare Korean Ginseng to nothing you will definitely be impressed. I would like them to have done this same research with American Ginseng, Ashwaganda, Reishi etc... I bet they all will have a similar effect
I have a better reaction to ashwaganda than to ginseng, I can use American ginseng sometimes. I’ve been using ashwaganda one before it became fashionable, since 1990’s
My wonder is which other perennial roots look similar and do they have the same effects. Wondering what the leaves taste like also, and if that's comparable to plants with other similarities Lastly, i figure most of us were programmed to not ask questions about dinosaurs 🦕🦖 either, when seeking ancient knowledge can be great. Here's to hoping that more people think outside of their usual thoughts because many unusual things are actually brand new and extraordinary.

hey thomas is there anything i could take to clear out my lungs i want to quit vaping but its tough with having trouble breathing i also have to improve my diet and exercise to help if anyone else has any ideas too in the comments
with those symptoms you have to stop immediately !!!! you are at the brink of COPD, and from there is no way back. Really helps, At home I make it the traditional way in a gourd and bombilla, but at work I make a flask full brewed in a Chemex what I normally do my coffee it, I boil my water to 65c any higher and it wastes bad to me. That works really well.
Kratom can do the same thing, but each strain has different effects. I like trainwreck, its a good pain reducer and a relaxant.
It can, but it’s also acting on the opioid receptors and is addictive. Be careful with Kratom.
Please watch the Kratom videos on Healing 2gether for a full understanding of kratom
Interesting stuff! I have issues with anxiety, so I am definitely going to try this. Thanks Thomas!
Shilajit is the best!
It sounds like you may need more exercise, supplement magnesium, and decrease sodium intake. 🤷
Siberian chaga mushroom. you can live hundred years easily.
Korean Red Ginseng is most likely grown in the USA. I know Wisconsin grows a lot of Ginseng and it is sent to Korea for processing and distribution.
All kinds of ginseng are expensive af.
There are different types of ginseng and they have different effects in the body.
So a good reasion to drink Red Ginseng tea, and yet adding all of the benifits of other herbs and spices, like Turmeric and Ginger. What would you say was the few best Tea blend balance for what effects?
How do you find quality Korean ginseng?
I put ginseng extract in my wine, so I get the best of both worlds!
Might use this before and after work shifts
NICE. Thank-you for sharing
Yea it's actually some dank buds
It's been used for thousands of years.
Psylocybe cubensis is even better.
First 🎉 Happy Friday 🎉
1-2 grams Korean Red Ginseng , Once in the morning and once in the evening .
Thanks Thomas
Hey Thomas can you do a updated video on bovine colostrum and if it’s beneficial or not ?
This is why video games are so great, you know whether you're collecting American Ginseng or Alaskan Ginseng, RDR2 teaches us you can brew them into a tonic that'll help you replenish your healthbar and manage the stress of getting shot or mauled by a cougar. The more you know.
Thanks for the info
Problem with ginger, ginseng, various teas,...or any product along those lines is - how and where grow? What was sprayed on the plants? Handling after harvesting? When was it harvested? Have seen products take years from harvest to process then to warehouse to warehouse to ship to warehouse and then a year later to the store.
The more I study the ingredients in monster energy drinks, the more I like it 😊
Correlation.
Most probable CAUSATION: the more you DRINK energy drinks, the more you like them. ;)
The taurine helps you live longer too !
@@zzzxxzzz3248Rubbish. And energy drinks are overloaded with caffine and other junk not listed.
You should look into cuva which Fijians have used for ever. That’s why they are the happiest people on earth.
What is cuva?
@@adamlong5478 kuva sorry.
Spell check.
Just google my friend
TLDR: Red Korean ginseng
If I could reduce stress and anxiety everything would be so much better. I have tried several different remedies from diet changes, to prescriptions to supplements that greatly help for a month to 45 days then the effect tapers off until it provides little benefit. I will watch this later as I need to get some work done..
Smoke a joint. It has 1200mg of fukitol. Great stress reliever
it will also damage your lungs@@vwjon
High blood pressure- ginsing no
That is what I thought when I took panax/asian/korean ginseng (which are the same thing). My heart did not relax.
And for most people with chronic stress, high blood pressure oftens is the main symptom and you don't want it to get even higher.
Therefore herbs like ashwagandha, rhodiola and holy basil should be better for most people. Remember: cycling your adaptogens is key.
Checkout gynostemma Pentaphyllum.... may be even better than red ginseng
Been on ginseng/NMN daily
Red ginseng or red ginseng extract?
Thanks again Thomas, do you have a couple of Korean Red Ginseng brands you recommend ?
I was following you until you said Wim Hof was a freak of nature. You didn't listen to what he said, or take into account that he taught 12 other people his methods, and every one of them had the same results under laboratory test. Proving he's not a freak of nature, he's simply teaching something that humanity has largely forgotten over centuries.
What gives? Do some more research into him before you throw out that kind of misinformation. Wim Hof has a massive following for a reason, and that is because his method works.
Interested in this finding for Raynauds
Does it really help with sleep?
For me, it is honey
💯 anxiety is all mental alao
Na. It also includes your response ability..your body's capability of dealing with a stress. Its part mind, part body.
This is how the British special forces look at things, the more we know about a certain topic the less we have to fear it or get stressed over it
The SAS say "Knowledge dispells fear".
@@Dodger-87Not necessarily. If a person has a hormonal imbalance the mind can't help you at all with that.
Bro I think I saw you in St. George last year!!!!!!!
Great seeing you at Epcot yesterday
Thanks my man! Nice to run into y’all!
Same here Thomas! Love your content.
Bud Light? Seriously?!?!?!
Ginseng makes my nervous in high doses.
I will be checking out some ginseng and see how my body like it
If you compare Korean Ginseng to nothing you will definitely be impressed.
I would like them to have done this same research with American Ginseng, Ashwaganda, Reishi etc...
I bet they all will have a similar effect
I keep hearing about this "Placebo" supplement, where can I buy?
I have a better reaction to ashwaganda than to ginseng, I can use American ginseng sometimes. I’ve been using ashwaganda one before it became fashionable, since 1990’s
American ginseng is different
A microdose of 🍄 goes a long way, and I’m not talking about the mushroom coffee either 😅
It’s schisandra chinensis
Yes, we are human but a lot US citizens are just struggling to put food onto the table at the moment
My wonder is which other perennial roots look similar and do they have the same effects.
Wondering what the leaves taste like also, and if that's comparable to plants with other similarities
Lastly, i figure most of us were programmed to not ask questions about dinosaurs 🦕🦖 either, when seeking ancient knowledge can be great. Here's to hoping that more people think outside of their usual thoughts because many unusual things are actually brand new and extraordinary.
Big fan Thomas and like your content and delivery. But the ads are starting to grate. I’m sure I’m not alone in just advancing the video till the ad ends.
The ads TH-cam runs or the sponsored placements? The sponsored placements are necessary to keep this channel going. There’s no way I could do it without that. So please consider how we remain profitable to be able to pay our team. No sponsors = no channel
@@ThomasDeLauerOfficial It’s the sponsored placements. Are your sponsors aware if people just skip through? I certainly don’t want to lose your insights however it’s quite repetitive seeing Thrive Seed Macadamia etc. Just giving feedback mate.
does the ginseng conflict with the deca durabalin you shoot
Did ever someone claimed Ashwagandha is the more powerful to ginseng?
And what are the prices for both?
You'd better stick to Ashwagandha if your budget is tight.
Taking 3x Ashwagandha is cheaper than Ginseng but 3x is far more powerful, am I right?
I thought ginseng was more of an energy/vitality boost, not a stress reliever. Is this incorrect?
Thomas, are we talking about red ginseng pills or some kind of powdered drink?
Korean Red Ginseng
Is this only true for korean res ginseng or also true for KWG or generally for KG?
💚
Red ginger. Where to get it here in Germany?
Not budlight Thomas!! Nooooo lol 😅
Thanks for the vid! Does this work with all ginsing?
Gensing types has a spectrum of effects.
Can you do a vid on phosphatidylserine?
Good one
I found some gensings can be very stimulating, so be carefull
Do you have any recommendations for companies that do testing for nutrition optimization and also factor in utilizing adaptogens or other approaches for managing stress, etc?
Maybe check into using your body as a pendulum to test yourself. Check out the Emotion Code. Use that method for testing anything for yourself! 👍😁👍
Can I order Thrive Market in Canada?
hey thomas is there anything i could take to clear out my lungs i want to quit vaping but its tough with having trouble breathing i also have to improve my diet and exercise to help if anyone else has any ideas too in the comments
with those symptoms you have to stop immediately !!!! you are at the brink of COPD, and from there is no way back. There are new ways of preventing scarring of lung tissue, but first you have to stop, if you actually want to live.
the only "thing" that will help you sustainably is learning meditation, and yoga.
I've been amazed at how well and quickly drinking Mullein Tea clears my rasping breath when I smoke too many cigars. Worth a try. I filter it through paper coffee filters otherwise is has tiny sticking hairs that catch in my throat.
Look into marshmallow root, good for respiratory system
how about valerian, kava kava and arginine(?) from other vid
Wonder how this compares to Emodin.
Thoughts on St. John's Wort?
Ginseng made me uber nervous. Sticking with reishi mushroom
You should watch this with subtitles, "THIS IS SANDPIT TURTLE!" "😂
So it isn’t Aswagandha now 😢
That Steering wheel is getting gripped hard everywhere 😩
this may be great for my truck driving 😂😂
Red ginseng cripples my sleep. Yeah I'll feel great all day the morning I take it but I'll be lucky if I get 3hrs of sleep that night.
Same
Korean red Ginseng
If you like ginseng just grow Jiagulan on your window shelf. No money lost.
Explains redbull addiction
I always worry about the long term effects that’s why I stay away from most herbs
L-Theanine is better for sleep and anxiety/stress for me, and it’s like a xanny minus the sedative effect.
Take what? I don’t know what product you are talking about. I heard Ginseng but I don’t know what words you are saying before that. Is there a reason you have it written anywhere?
Wow. Haven't heard a damn thing about ginseng in a long time.
