all he wants to say is, if you are making people's life easier or better by any means, they will come on the platform by themselves(will spread by word of mouth), but if you are not, then you have to spend a lot on advertisement and marketing of that product to show them that how this product will make their life easier or better even if it will not.

True caller can't be compared because it gas emotional touch so people obviously interested to download.
Then let him go for ads, and in what time span how much more customers he aquire, let calculate that and compare with the calculation done to reach 500 by sending cakes!!!

    13:09 : 10. Govt. support ( e.g. Baidu, Wechat, East India Company )
Even if a Δ > 4 exists, if the laws and leadership you're bound to follow in society mandate you to avoid it, you'd still be unable to use it. e.g.
    - during early years of Baidu and Wechat, if Google and Messenger/WhatsApp had equal access, they had no chance to become the giants they are now.. they survived only due to active denial of access by Chinese govt.
    - during Britain's imperial occupation of India, if Indian handloom and silk weavers were not actively taxed, maimed & destroyed by British forces, the British textile factories wouldn't be able to replace market of finer quality cloth in India.

But I think ads are useful, I can agree in most of the industries like Fintech sector, etc... ads may not make a person to bielve more than friend referral but the fact is that ADs are very useful for spreading awareness... Maybe a person do not download the app on the same time by ads but he still be aware of that the this kind of thing exists and then he'll be more vulnerable to try out and more confident to download it..
In simple words of taking his example... by distributing by cake to 30 people 7-8 may download it.. but if the 30 people already aware of the app through ad and then they got the news with cake.. definitely more than 7 people would download the app and try it out...

Cred has enrolled likes of madhuri dixit and anil kapoor just to market their brand, and that is the epitome of advertisement.
Everyone can think that they are solving the world's problem, but it isn't the case 99.99% of the times..
In this era - race for the attention is the principle. How will you get people to notice your app? That's thr only problem these all companies are trying to solve.
Also, I personally use CRED myself, I find it a little more useful than my bank app, but my engagement is just 10 seconds - payment of my credit card bill.
I don't use the "benefits" things, because most of them are quite random and are unrelated.
    Anyway! Enjoy the IPL 😁

The ads that Cred has rolled out recently taking Madhuri Dixit, Anil Kapoor, Bapi Lehri, is playing on the same field as - "We don't need ads or big stars." to promote our brand.
If you see these "stars" are particularly chosen because they are "old stars." The new gen will not relate to these stars and the gen who does relate to them, it's to tell them "Hey look. These old form of ads don't work well anymore."
So, if you stuck to this video till the QnA round he goes on to explain that they will try ads to confirm that they are a true relevant company but they'll not push the features per say. That they'll do through other forms like Word of Mouth and campaigns like - "Send a cake."

    • @anandgorthi
      @anandgorthi 4 ปีที่แล้ว

@@sahilahmed5038 honestly, I partially agree with what you said, but, just to counter, what about "Power Payer of the match" then? Ain't that pushing the crux of the app - pay your credit card bill using our app?
My only problem with what CRED is doing, is that, if you don't really believe in the very principle of advertising your brand (or at very least, advertising the main feature of your app), why does it have to sponsor IPL at all, just like VIVO (or any other brand), not only that, why is it required for all the commentators to market "pay during power play and win 100% cashback" and stuff like that during every inning?
      Isn't this fundamentally traditional?

Mr. Kunal Shah. As u are aware yesterday lots of kids around the globe protested against govt for not acting against climate change. In last 100 years our efficiency has brought us to this point. Any thoughts beyond wealth ?
