The actual MV has 30M views--I highly recommend because it was released during the pandemic, and the lyrics are beautiful. Their most recent song, Bouncy, got 100M views in about 3 months, so people are starting to figure out what they're missing. Their youngest, Jongho, is widely considered the best male vocalist of the 4th gen. (watch his cover of Wildflower or So You). Very few groups are better live than in studio and ATEEZ is one of them. BTW, they say ATEEZ present at the beginning of Say My Name if you want to hear them pronounce it, but it's the letter name A plus tease. He was on hiatus during the filming of the MV so he's not in it. They have a pirate concept/storyline throughout their MVs and at the end of each one there is a teaser for the next song or album. I often wonder why ATEEZ is so underrated. Their music is amazing. However, they are the first idol group that their company KQ ent has developed/promoted and that might not have happened at all if it hadn’t been for Hongjoong sending them a sample of his work. I think Hongjoong is a big reason why they have ‘their sound’ and it’s been consistent since they debuted. I hope 2024 is the year they ‘take off’ but part of me enjoys being part of a small fandom that really appreciates their genius.

I watched him from the beginning when they were starting out and I knew they were gonna be big and I follow them until they blew up but then I started looking for another group and that’s when ateez came along, grabbed my heart and knocked me off my feet. Ateez are just So Good and perfect. You should watch them perform live, even if it's just in your own time to avoid copyright issues, because their live performances are LEGENDARY. Also their 2019 MAMA stage was iconic On Kingdom they had collab stages with Stray Kids and another group called BTOB and honestly all of those are also iconic, highly recommended

Love Ateez- they built their own company to now having juniors within 5 years. Their backstory of how they were all connected before debut w/o knowing each other is insane. Never seen a group actually destined for one another the way they are.
@@furuyakeifu San and jongho are from the same family clan, hongjoong is the reason Ateez is a group- KQ didn’t have any plans to debut a new group after 2nd gen block b since they were going into debt, seonghwa only stayed in KQ because he heard of a story about a young boy who wrote a letter to KQ to pursue his dreams of being an artist who never gave up and kept pushing forward- he didn’t know at the time, but the boy was hongjoong, 5/8 of them were in the same competition months before knowing eo. There might be more connections, but this was off the top of my head.

As an Atiny from the very beginning (a bit more than 5 years now) there isn’t a single song I thought was « okay », they always do the best they can and didn’t change who they are even when it was a difficult period, they stayed true to who they were. Aren't they incredible? I'm worried that you're not watching with closed captioning on until Halazia? Wasn't sure if it wasn't showing on the video playback, or if you didn't have it on. It's realllly helpful to understand what's actually being said, and lets you sing along with the stuff that's not translated (like bul-no-ri-ya, playing with fire/fireworks). You'll love to see their dance practices, and they're well-known for the intensity of their live performances. They're _incredible_ on stage. They usually have ending sequences which have to do with the lore that weaves throughout all their videos. When I first got into Ateez I watched lyric videos and the og MV next to each other so that I would learn to recognize names, faces and voices. But that only after I watched their Nav’s on their own. They are really good even without being able to recognize every first as a newbie. Now it’s so easy😂
28:53 He does have an amazing voice and would you believe people in school didn’t like his voice but he loved singing so trained hard and literally became the best in the industry as his vocal teacher(a professional in the kpop industry who has taught so many other big idols) said that jongho is up there with the most professional/best vocalists in kpop like Baekhyun! People still to this day try and hate on him saying things like he’s always sceaming when he’s hitting those high notes but in reality they all jealous and dont know what real singing is. The thing with ateez is that their song is very segmented (not really general population-friendly) and the Korean public is not looking beyond big agency groups. That's why ateez is way more popular overseas than they do in Korea.

Love Ateez- they built their own company to now having juniors within 5 years. Their backstory of how they were all connected before debut w/o knowing each other is insane. Never seen a group actually destined for one another the way they are.
I know about Yunho-Mingi and Wooyoung-Yeosang (also San going to school with TXT Yeonjun) but how were the rest connected?
@@furuyakeifu San and jongho are from the same family clan, hongjoong is the reason Ateez is a group- KQ didn’t have any plans to debut a new group after 2nd gen block b since they were going into debt, seonghwa only stayed in KQ because he heard of a story about a young boy who wrote a letter to KQ to pursue his dreams of being an artist who never gave up and kept pushing forward- he didn’t know at the time, but the boy was hongjoong, 5/8 of them were in the same competition months before knowing eo. There might be more connections, but this was off the top of my head.

I didn’t know the Seonghwa story. Ppl really exaggerate the San Jongho connection, unless one of their relatives shows on their family registry I’d say that goes way too far back lol

As an Atiny from the very beginning (a bit more than 5 years now) there isn’t a single song I thought was « okay », they always do the best they can and didn’t change who they are even when it was a difficult period, they stayed true to who they were. I’m so proud to see that you liked what they do, they deserve so much love. They are greats artists and above all genuinely good people too ♥

Aren't they incredible? I'm worried that you're not watching with closed captioning on until Halazia? Wasn't sure if it wasn't showing on the video playback, or if you didn't have it on. It's realllly helpful to understand what's actually being said, and lets you sing along with the stuff that's not translated (like bul-no-ri-ya, playing with fire/fireworks). You'll love to see their dance practices, and they're well-known for the intensity of their live performances. They're _incredible_ on stage. They usually have ending sequences which have to do with the lore that weaves throughout all their videos. The Turbulence video isn't the original, as others have mentioned, but it's wellll worth watching because it helps to understand that they are ALL all-arounders -- singers, rappers, dancers, performers. They are 5 years old, and they've got a bright future ahead. They have a comeback December 1st. In the meantime, catch up with Guerrilla (came out before Halazia), and their most recent, Bouncy, which will blow your mind. Welcome to the rabbit hole! 28:53 He does have an amazing voice and would you believe people in school didn’t like his voice but he loved singing so trained hard and literally became the best in the industry as his vocal teacher(a professional in the kpop industry who has taught so many other big idols) said that jongho is up there with the most professional/best vocalists in kpop like Baekhyun! People still to this day try and hate on him saying things like he’s always sceaming when he’s hitting those high notes but in reality they all jealous and dont know what real singing is. He has a OST called Gravity and on their new album thats about to be released he will have a solo song called Everything so defo check it out!

The thing with ateez is that their song is very segmented (not really general population-friendly) and the Korean public is not looking beyond big agency groups. That's why ateez is way more popular overseas than they do in Korea.
The first song I heard from ateez was deja vu - It was love at first listen and I am a huge fan of their music for like 2 years now and have seen them in concert once
