Very beautiful video, something very emotional within...and you made me remember that I have a similar kind of lamp sleeping in my garage for ages, the very same lamp I use to carry on my backpack during all my trekking expeditions in the wilderness back in the days with my now passed away beloved nephew... I took it out the dust, clean it and lit it forthe first timein 35 years... so, thank you very much for this great moment you shared with us. Greetings and love from Belgium

I have watched this video over a dozen times ! I too love Feuerhand lanterns. They are made with precision, and the smoothness of operation, the way they burn, all show that they are built and assembled with care. Thank you for this awesome video. To think of all of the things, good and bad, that have happened in the world since that lantern was built, to the time that you then lit it.......wow

Excellent video, I have a new Feuerhand on the way that i plan to use in a cross-country moto camping trip. I believe this lantern and possibly the Dietz Comet are the best choices for a reliable light that can go anywhere. If i could only find a good #175 that wasnt $200 i would snatch one up in a second. I was so glad to watch this video because now i know that even if the #276 is a bit larger it will still last a life time

I bought a Finnish army surplus lantern box today. Picked it up after work. As the seller opened the box my heart just jumped. It was a complete set of four Feuerhand 175s with two extra glass globes, four wicks, four deflectors (blocks the light so it only lights up only a narrow strip) and a two litre tin canister for fuel. Only one of the lanterns was slightly used.
