  • One of the most asked questions today is: "What's my purpose in life'. In this video I talk about my views on how to find your path in life and how this ties in with your purpose in life. I also discuss what it feels like to be on your on unique path in life. Keep in mind that these are my opinions people. I don't claim to know everything about life, these are just observations I've made.
    I'd love to hear your views on what our/your purpose is in life and how you found your path.

    I think getting lost is also a part of finding purpose in life. And working seasonal jobs is a great way for people like me who don't really know what's going on in the world, or my life, to get a good idea and gather amazing experiences! Great video

    I believe we should live life fully, authentically.....and gain as much knowledge as possible, learning our life lessons as we go....and love others, be compassionate and mindful. Living life is our purpose, truly living.

    I searched for "Alaska Summer Job" got on a chain of your videos and had to subscribe. Thank you for your content. I've been a seasonal worker almost my entire adulthood, and you're a true inspiration. I've always switched between summer and winter jobs in my hometown, but now I'm inspired to travel and do the same work in different places. Your videos seem well thought out and are very informative.

    When you're on the right path, your purpose will reveal itself. Sometimes your purpose is seen by other people before you recognize it bc of the impact you make on other people.
    Your unique natural talents, skill sets, personal interests, and experiences lead you to and along your path. Your purpose will self-manifest based on how you walk your particular path.

    I feel that finding your path requires both some thinking and doing, but more doing than thinking. If you don’t mind doing a lot of mistakes, forget the thinking and go straight to the doing. You think forever and conjure up all sorts of things but the doing will let you know what the real deal is and from there you get some feedback and you can decide if you keep on going, if you adjust some stuffs or if you stop altogether.

    I'm almost 50. The concepts of "purpose", "passion", "Life path", "setting goals", never crossed my mind, until I watched content creators, mention these things, on TH-cam, many years later. I've never had the urge to work towards something "meaningful". I mean planned my holidays, I planned that I could not pass certain courses, in high school, and still be able to graduate, but never really planned out my life, where I would see myself in 5,10, or 20 years, or a "career", etc... I had/have no, or low expectations. I don't believe in the concept of a "calling". Nice scenery.

    Tim! 🌼I'm starting my new job in housekeeping at the Y in Estes on september 23! Your video on what its like to work there totally sold me and I love Estes its so beautiful there! I feel were two birds of a feather its my purpose as well to work and live here. I think it will help me grow and there must be things I need to do there as well! I just found your channel after I applied and I'm so glad I did. Your such a beacon of light your glowing from the inside out and you can tell your truely on your path its beautiful to see. Ive struggled with alcohol and staying in the wrong relationships but I'm ready to embrace my path and your helping me so much to give me the strength to do it. I know your helping so many people and I could only hope to do the same. What a world it would be if everyone was on their path! I love when you said that because so many people have this mindset that they cant have the life they want. So many people who dream of travel like myself have no idea about coolworks I didnt until this week! Im feeling so blesses and im sending so much love your way. When I did my interview I mentioned that I saw your video and it sold me. The lady in HR was smiling so big and said it was good to know because shes keeping track of how many people saw your video so apparently alot! Now I'm rambling lol just want to tell you how much you inspire me to live my best life and your making a big difference. Sending you so much love Tim your awesome! 🙏🏼💗🙌🏼🏞🌺

      Hello! First off, thank you so much for this comment. It made my day! Your kind words truly moved me. It's a blessing to be able to help people discover outlets like Coolworks and seasonal work that can have a real impact on their lives. I know you are going to love it at the Y. And the housekeeping department is great! Be sure to tell the managers I said hello. I miss them. I didn't know they were keeping a tab in HR lol. I wonder what I'm up to now. I wish you much success in your future goals and endeavors, and feel free to hit me up if you even have any questions or just want to talk to a kindred spirit in the future. 😀

    Metaphysically speaking, when you remain in a state a "connectedness" you are in vibrational alignment with the universe. This is very necessary to one's personal evolution. We all have a soul task while we're here in this third dimension. Love your perspective with the "purpose path" concept as a journey rather than a destination. Spot on Tim! Love this video!

    Also….regarding life purpose…I have been in process a while about what unique gifts I have to serve others and in the process…contemplating and writing down, “what do I value? And then seeing if the choices I am making and working towards reflect my values , gifts and passions.
    Just helpful for me and maybe will assist all those other brave, “warriors of the heart”, who stay dedicated to serving the light within while persevering through very painful and life changing experiences!!
    We truly ARE THE LIGHT WE SEEK!!! ✨ A lot has to do with “re-membering” the Truth of who we are and burning away all of the darkness and illusion covering and hindering our true and unique expressions of the love and light that we are!

    Hey Tim I couldn't agree with you more. I have sat and pondered on what I think my purpose is and I just had no one answer, so with that being said....being on your path I feel will lead to your purpose and I will discover my purpose. I feel like I am on my path now because I'm eliminating what doesn't really serve me and I'm acting on things that are getting me aligned on my path. Great Message!!!

But sometimes I still cycle back around to the question...What am I doing? and What should I be doing? I know this cycle is a part of the process but it can be frustrating. You are correct, in my opinion, life is a test. And there are a lot of clues what our purpose is and they are quite simple, but most everyone overlooks the clues.
    Our creator is testing us to see if we qualify to be our creators children. The Creator is trying to reproduce, through us.
    I can elaborate on the clues if people have questions.

    Am a 50 yo male going thru a separation and I been thinking about what’s our purpose in life and how can one enjoy and fulfill ones destiny, I guess time will direct us to it . I currently live in boston and I have this strong desire within me to move out to Arizona, never been there and don’t know anyone there but I have plans within the next 2-3 months at latest to move out there and am excited and not afraid , weird I guess.

    • @christinabernat9681
      @christinabernat9681 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      robemarcelo you have in Boston a branch of the Johnson O'Connor Research Foundation, a foundation founded decades ago to help people discover what God given talents they were born with, a concept foreign to too much of our society in the last 40 years or so, where the message has been "you can achieve all you want to achieve so go for it" and "go into careers that promise employment and status" with no mention of utilizing your own aptitudes whatsoever. Look their site up on the net and read on it, then call and make your appointment, even if you are in work that you are happy and successful in already, because you will learn so much about yourself and your preferences as you absorb your results through time (it may take a while to truly get all the implications) it may prove invaluable to you. Suggest your wife or whomever you are separted from to go there as well, if you feel there is any chance that not understanding and recognizing and respecting and nurturing each other's inner true being helped cause the separation. Especially if the two of you have children together do this if the other is willing, because learning about your aptitudes will help you see your children also have their very own God given aptitudes which may or may NOT be anything like yours.
      If you end up permanently splitting up have anyone you consider getting serious about in the future go get theirs done BEFORE fully committing and afterward let them see your results to be sure you want to continue on with each other.
      Also, your aptitudes are NOT your values, nor your beliefs nor emotions, nor your resources (they explain that further) but they are like appetites you must feed or you will never feel in sync with yourself or life and will feel a strange discontent through your days if you are nit using all your aptitudes in some way either through work or hobbies.

    Tim, thanks so much for taking the time to do these videos. They are very inspirational. I'm considering the seasonal life, too, but I have two questions. First, do they have positions for people who are Educators or HR trainers or writers or editors? Those type of positions? Second, Where do you go in between your seasonal jobs? Can I be pretty assured that if I decide to hang out in a particular City in between seasonal jobs, that I would be able to find a furnished room for rent without much trouble? Thanks.

    • @TimothyWard
      @TimothyWard  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I know lots of seasonal places are always looking for good HR people. It's one of the departments that seems to have a hard time finding good people. As far as educators, many of the summer camps and youth camps are specifically looking for them for their programs departments. Here at the YMCA of the Rockies I've met alot of people who are teachers. Some of them just wanted a break from the classroom, others are retired, some of them do strictly seasonal work. I did a quick search for 'teachers' on Coolworks and two pages of results came up.
      Between seasonal jobs I sometimes go back home (Florida) and visit friends and family. Other times, like the break I have coming up, I just travel around the whole time. In the past I have also stayed and worked at my seasonal job during the off season. Some seasonal places offer a limited amount of work while they are closed for the off season. But mainly I just move around, having met so many people working seasonally helps since I always have someone to visit and usually a place to stay for free lol.
