    Would you happen to have songs from the Intelliglobe II?
    I like Canada and Brazil!

    I like that they used real recordings - I think the LeapFrog ones were made earlier than this one so they may not have had as much internal memory for storing recordings, so they used electronic instruments instead of ruining the quality of the real thing. Just a theory! However, the one good thing with the LeapFrog music was that it was a little longer in some cases and at least finished the tunes rather than fading them out at random points.

    I don't know why this music makes me cry a little bit... I just don't know.

    I wonder why Malta is lumped in with the Italian peninsula and Iceland and Denmark have the same music. Still thanks so much for uploading and although not as unique in terms of distinguishing countries I like to think these are a lot more accurate than LeapFrog. This video is great for taking a musical journey around the world. I'd love to see more of these types of videos.

      Yeah, I agree with you. The LeapFrog musics are a core part of my childhood, but these tunes have also grown on me for the past few years that I've had the Intelliglobe.

      Malta's national language, Maltese (co-official with English), is derived from a dialect of Arabic formerly spoken in Sicily. The country has previously been ruled at various points in history both by Italy and by the British, and Italian is the most widely taught foreign language in the country's schools. On top of that, many Maltese people can receive TV broadcasts from Italy, and thus are fluent in Italian.
      Iceland was also ruled by Denmark until the first half of the 20th century. In Icelandic schools, pupils learn English and also a Scandinavian language - Danish by default.

    Does anyone know the name of these songs, because a lot of them are actually real like the one from the U.K. It’s called the British grenadiers.

    I have another idea for a video. Do you think you could do music for all the world's territories like Greenland for example and disputed countries like Western Sahara?

    • @brettsmithsgeographychannel
      @brettsmithsgeographychannel  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Intelliglobe doesn't have music for those, sadly.

      How about for Leap Frog or is there not enough to warrant a video?

      Well, to make each LeapFrog country music unique, I used some territorial music for some countries. (For example, Saint Kitts and Nevis has Puerto Rico's, Barbados has Bermuda's, Benin has French Guiana's, and Vanuatu has Greenland's.)

      Out of curiosity what music did you use for Palau? Also I think you used some of the flag music from the World Geography book for a few of the countries as well.
