My grandson is Autistic. He learns so much from videos. He repeats many of them. His favorite Sesame Street episode is season 39 episode 12 The Help o Bots He can repeat much of it by heart. The thing I love most about it. Is there is a part where a Mom and Daughter make cookies together. He also has that memorized But it has given me an opportunity to make cookies with him. He enjoys it he is verbal with me and has eye contact. The recipe called milk on Sesame Street but not in the recipe I made. I ended up putting in a bit to make him happy. It has got me thinking I wish there where more videos like this so I can interact with him more. Or since he learns from videos I wish there were ones to help with speech and social skill. Thank you for reading this. Concerned grandma
I wish i could bring my kids from overseas just to be under ur great care 😪.. our sources are very limited in my country .. i have to do everything by my self..
You know it's not true ... I have had an early intervention for almost a year and that's such a waist of time now I have ABA for my son and they don't do anything different what you would do, except a lot of paper work... and if my son is unhappy they don't do anything, they even don't have this unique ability like approach or maybe just laziness so my advice educate yourself learn from different sources available and from the parents, trust me parents of those kids know the most .. and work with your child yourself, play, talk, do different activities together, etc,. You can make some of the stuffs for the activity your self it's easy...
Grandma too! Son and DIL are in denial. Precious grandson is 2 1/2. They live hours away from me. I work with him when they visit, but it is definitely not enough. Suggestions?
Can a child not mimic due to lack of interaction as an infant or is it always autism? My 15 month old doesn’t mimic but we have always worked to make him independent. I feel like I lacked in getting in his face, talking and things like that.
Thank you..my son is almost 3 and doesnt really talk but babbles allot. He only says No...Look...daddy..he doesnt really even say mommy..one day he was doing something and I asked him what he was doing and it was the only time he put words together..he said Throwing Stuff...he use to say Agua which is water in Spsnish but even now he doesnt..
My kid 2,5 doesn't say a single word and doesn't copy anything, he will look at me and expects me to do it and sometimes I feel like he knows what I want from him but he won't do it
@@komal9474 he will be 3 in November, he does have ABA therapy but it's not as good as I thought would be and can't see any progress. No he doesn't imitate maybe occasionally
This was a good episode!

Is it too early to do these things with a 10 month old?
No - it's PERFECT to do these things with a 10 month old! That's when babies are learning to imitate... it's prime time!
My kid 2,5 doesn't say a single word and doesn't copy anything, he will look at me and expects me to do it and sometimes I feel like he knows what I want from him but he won't do it
