Great interview! I think sometimes the balance is hard between letting the professional talk and being the content creators talking about their own memories as a supporter and their football knowledge, but think you guys did this interview perfectly!

Iam old enough to remember a Pigue' as a Manchester United bench player and bit of banter player when he played in place of Vidic or Ferdinand. And he wasn't a kid, he was in his early 20s. And we sold him for less than 5 million to Barcelona only to become one of the greatest CBs of all time, World Cup, Euro with Spain and treble winner with Barcelona. What an amazing turn around 😅.
He left man utd in 2008 as a 21 year old. What are you on about? It would have been insane for him to displace either of Ferdinand and Vidic.

Pique is spot on about whether Gerrard, Lampard or Scholes could've made it into the Xavi - Iniesta - Busquets midfield
Individually, Gerrard, Lampard and Scholes could certainly have arguments in their favour for making it into that midfield however, not only were Xavi, Iniesta and Busquets all world class players, they all complemented each other perfectly. Taking one of them out, regardless of how good the replacement would be would completely disrupt the chemistry the three of them had
Perhaps...it's one of those hypotheticals that really can't be answered unless it actually happened. However, between those three, I believe Scholes would have the best chance at adapting to Barca's style of play and breaking into that midfield.
I love that Pique noticed McKola getting gang'd up on by Rory & Buvey about the 2011 UCl final , Pique had to interfere and said "oh yeah do you remember Iniesta at Stamford Bridge" 😂 loved the bants with pique and the lads!

Questions suggestion: Next footballer you guys interview, you should ask how much culture and personal relationships with guys in the changing room matter and affects the team. Maybe ask what players they were closest with, what they did/enjoyed off the pitch just hanging in the locker room.

I mean it goes very fast. The rice gets rolled and teams go back in position (either 1v1, 2v2, 3v3 etc..)
It goes faster than making a substition, which is also stopping the play in 'real' football.
