Don't pull up wiggle it around and it pops out easy.
Carry a 16 ounce literally 1 pound hammer and tap it once side to side and comes right out. Also throwing the stake on the finished concrete is poor workmanship just stack them in the corner of the sidewalk but still in the dirt easier to grab all facing the same way and doesn't lose the integrity of "hard work"
