Maybe has something to do with their prices vs their quality and their idea to subscription features. What trully EQE offers against a model 3?
plus they look aweful.
Think even 2030 is optimistic. Everyone has realised the massive shortcomings with full EV's, mainly due to price, constant charging, and poor charging infrastructure, and has at the same time realised the efficiency and ease of operation of Hybrids which give all the benefits of being way cheaper, low fuel consumption, a back up ICE system and no range worries. Win, win Hybrids and one day, 20 or 30 years time when we have interchangeable battery packs, I will come back to an EV.
Perhaps you're one of those who refuses to admit they haven't the technology to make EVs, something the blockheads still have a problem recognizing.
@@YTChiefCritic its early days , even now EVS are fine for short trips in cities where there are an adequate number of fast chargers, for public transport, deliveries and taxis , new battery tech is rapidly evolving.
You are obviously one of those zealots who are absolutely sold on ICE cars and cant see a path forward for alternatives , because it doesn't suit your agenda, whatever it be,the technology is rapidly evolving and will be better ( and cheaper) but I agree with you to the extent that everyone , both govts and manufacturers (apart from Tesla) has direly neglected the charging issues.
@@reverendbarker650 You obviously suffer from the same affliction as the assholes I mentioned in my comment.
Well, maybe if they didn’t make them look completely homely people would show some interest. Plus, their prices no longer reflect the quality they are giving people. Their reliability and cheapening of their cars build quality is catching up.
You left out how parts availability for motor or battery packs replacement if they fail it takes six months or better for the shop to receive the parts who wants to wait six months for their brand new car to get repaired ! Don't even mention insurance a person got their brand new EV totalled cause of a golf ball size dent in the battery pack case and the replacement cost was more than they paid for the EV at $61,000.00 add on top shipping and installation charges you are looking at a cost of $100,000.00 or more depending on brand and model...
Consumer reports has Tesla in the top spot for 10 year lowest cost of maintenance. As a Tesla stock holder I love seeing manufacturers backing off EVs and hybrids as a strategy is gives us the worst of both worlds, double the complexity, higher manufacturing cost, and extra weight,
Poor range, poor charge rates, high prices.... surprises are not accepted.
Junk! lost 60% of its value in 3 months.
Mercedes EVs are too expensive and their poor efficiency gives poor range, their relative low sales are because there are much better choices.
Problem for Mercedes is that Tesla and Chinese manufacturers aren’t going to slow their progress. I don’t see how they catch up.
Also, the Mercedes brand name has no advantage over chinese manufacturers who are ahead in this game.
@@manoman0 I'm in 50's, live in Canada and have had the privilege of being able to afford "nice cars" for the past 20 years. Trust me, the illusion of German luxury car superiority no longer holds any advantage IMO either. 30 years ago, they were at the top, today they build disposable garbage.
@@antoinepageau8336 Yes. I see that as well. It's mostly marketing and make-belief.
There is just ONE significant reason: nobody wants them.
Feels like you missed the main point. EV is slowed because of rising cost from inflation. There is not one word about that. Also government pushed EV without pushing infrastructure. This is where there is a bottleneck. Lack of funding for actual infrastructure.
I'm sure it has nothing to do with their hideous design reminiscing, a loud Russian techno nightclub!
Yes! The interiors are the gaudiest, ghetto interiors of any manufacturer. Everything had a LED beaming out of it.
Mercedes should partner with Nio. BASS lowers price of car, and battery swapping fixes problems with EV’s
Why are you wasting time making this video about EVs? Greed and stupidity are the reasons these idiots made bright promises about electric vehicles and now they're finding no one wants them - whatever happened to foresight and planning from people we assume are trained in these fields?
