I am not sure if they will do it, but I will be shocked if I see a Surigae/Bising icon or Dujuan/Auring icon in the 2021 Pacific Typhoon Season Animation.

Also, it seems like Horse and Bull years tend to be the tamest (although 2021 is a Bull year and we're expected to be active)
I'd like to think that since 2020 is similar to 1932 with category 5s in november, it could mean that 2021 will be similar to 1933 to break the record of most ACE. We will never know

@Super Typhoon Nancy The F13 analyst team found that Wilma went into an eyewall replacement cycle too soon after recon found 175 mph winds inside the storm to be any more than 180 mph at peak, in strand of the official 185. I agree with this change personally.

That almost happened twice in 2004 with a tropical storm and hurricane Charley, again with Ivan and Jeanne in that same year.
