    That layout was completely unexpected for a ferry. It looked really nice. Can't wait for the cool trains!!!

      I was surprised how much there was to do on the ferry!

    This was a nice cosy vlog to experience. It's raining here in Australia so I have been catching up on TH-cam travel videos with a nice tea and cake

      That sounds so nice!! I hope you enjoyed the cake ☺️

    It's nice to finally find one of these videos with english and the person filming it not afraid to show themselves

      I had to go back and check the video again to see if I was actually in it 😆 but I hope it was helpful!!

    Thanks for sharing. I was in the Navy for 6yrs and I miss the rocking of the ship while sleeping. Haha

      Anytime! It was easier to fall asleep than I anticipated haha

    I watch a video from some guy a few months ago that may have been this same boat, or at least a twin ferry boat. Many of the public areas and what you showed of the deck looked the same.
    FUN FACT: Terry won a week-long cruise as a prize in McDonald's Monopoly game. We went with the kids. Although it was free, and a nice ship, it wasn't my favorite way to spend a vacation. The port calls, and seeing how crew was so overworked was depressing.

      Wow I didn’t think anyone actually won those games! A week on a cruise might make people stir crazy. At least for me lol
      I’ve watched a few videos about crime on cruises and the poor working conditions 😣

    Price wise the ferry option seems competitive vs. the bus/train/flight options and a lot more comfortable as a bed (even a firm one) beats a chair. I'm guessing the boat had a few more passengers but you shot around them?

      Weirdly enough, the return trip was cheaper and it was more crowded. I did avoid people in most of my shots though 😂 And you’re right, compared to other forms of transport the ferry does seem quite comfortable!

    this looks super fun, it reminds me of the 80's onsen resort ryokans that are still around and haven't been updated at all (but on a boat) haha

      I seriously need to look into this 😆

      @@franklinthewoman since you like haunted places, Myogaya Honkan in Tochigi definitely felt haunted while I was there. The fact that there was a huge typhoon coming through late at night and we saw no other guests definitely made it scarier but it was really outdated too. It was like The Shining of Japan. Well, if you check it out and its not feeling haunted, it still has an awesome onsen on the riverside! I know its a little far from Kansai though

      Ohhh I’ll put that on my list if I ever make it up there!!

    While we are all practising some social distancing these days a little bit of interaction with the locals would add another aspect of interest to the travel vlogs

    • @franklinthewoman
      @franklinthewoman  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I get that! Often people don’t want to be on camera but I’ll see if I can incorporate some of that into future vlogs

    Yo Franklimus Prime. Seems kind of weird that the cheap rooms do not have keys, is this normal? Im guessin its ok since safety is a norm there. Btw, super curious, why did you blur the slippers? Do people put their IDs or something?
    Loved the video

      I was also surprised that the doors didn’t lock from the outside (for the cheap rooms haha). Even though Japan is safe when it comes to theft I still felt like I should keep my wallet on me at all times😂 I blurred out my bare feet 🤣🤣 the slippers were just plain ones!
      And thank you!!

    Seems very empty! Is it usually like this or are people scared to travel?

    • @franklinthewoman
      @franklinthewoman  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The trip back to Osaka was much more crowded! I think it might look more empty though because I avoided people in my shots 🤣

    • @franklinthewoman
      @franklinthewoman  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      But people are traveling more these days!
