Thank you - and Kyosho has just announced the re-release of the RB5 platform so I'm going to have a fresh supply of parts to run this car. :)

I remember when nid motor first came to me via the b5 AE buggy. Never could I look back

And there's been evolution since then - from 4-gear mid-motor to 3-gears and now to laydown transmissions. Good times. :)

Very interesting story behind this! I was looking up the Bulldog body, I just ordered one for use on a Kyosho Dirtmaster, which I haven't even bought yet... But just looking around...
Very nice video, I really enjoyed listening to your voiceover, lots of good knowledge and history, very interesting. I see you still make some videos, so I went and subscribed.

Thanks for the nice comment. Where did you manage to find a bulldog body? I would love to get my hands on one or two for future projects.
Yes I am still making videos but I work on these projects in my free time and as you can imagine they take some time to put together. Thank you for subscribing... motivates me to get to work on another vid soon.

Excellent job! I still have my Rb5. I started running it again. I wish I had the skills to make mine a mid motor.

It's such an awesome car. Unfortunately I've had to retire this car as my weekly runner due to the increasing scarcity of parts. Going to replace the worn parts with what I have in my spares and then use the car more sparingly from now on.

I would like to mention the Kyosho Raider… the first mass produced mid motor buggy… although it might be for everyday running back then and is considered vintage today. By the way, that’s a darn good kyosho rb5 conversion.

Ah the Raider - you are right! I suppose we might even consider the Tamiya Frog a mid-motor of sorts too. The history of off-road buggies is really interesting.

Sorry for the late reply - happy year of the rabbit now! :)

I would consider this about the most forward you can make the cab on a buggy before aesthetics degrade. It, itself, looks amazing, however.

Thank you. This car is certainly one that has special meaning for me in my 'garage' of project cars. While I've grown to appreciate cab-forward bodies over time, I'll choose a mid or rear cab design anyday. :)
