Hi Dave. I have a Safety Dave rear camera on my caravan that was installed by Crusader Caravans in 2018 on build. About 12 mths ago one the cameras stopped working V2 . All of the connections look ok and the cameras appear not to have sustained obvious damage. As the product is now out of warranty period. Can you give me some advice on how I can rectify this problem. I live in a remote area of NSW. TIA

I'd start by calling Safety Dave, they offer great tech support. If it came into our workshop we could plug in a new camera and test if that works.
We do sell new cameras and cables on our site
      www.4wdcaravanelectrics.com.au/collections/safety-dave-1
But best place to start would be safety dave then a local auto electrician if you can.

    So let's check.
They could have made a locking cable on the original cable but instead opt for another cable one has to buy that could have been integrated in the first place!

Yep - Woza cable is just a better locking cable if your planning on hitting some corrugated Aussie Roads. Like all things in life there are options & upgrades available

Great video, thanks. Looking at purchasing a rear camera kit for my caravan. A friend has one but his biggest complaint of them is that the approaching traffic from behind shows it being some distance back but when he checks his mirrors the vehicles are actually right behind him ready to pass. Why is this so and is this the same for all of these types of cameras?

Hi Trevor - Thanks for your comment!
There are a range of cameras available and they come with different lenses set as specific degrees of angle. We would recommend contacting Safety Dave themselves to determine which camera would best suit your application. Usually when used as a standard reverse camera the lenses is a wider angle to give more picture which makes things seem a little bit further away.
