B04 zombies is my favorite in the franchise. I genuinely believe it’s because I played every Zombies game during the Cold War era. Everyone told me the others were better. I had fun playing CW zombies so I tried the others and B04 was my favorite, and it baffles me that it’s wrongfully disrespected. I find it hilarious how triggered people are that you automatically have jug rather than buying it(lol). Night of the dead is my favorite map in the game, but it’s heavily criticized cuz they just released it out of nowhere(as if it affects how fun the map is lol) and that there’s a ton of steps and buildables , but every nostalgic ridden zombies fan GLAZES origins(gotta be the most overrated map OAT).
I use to hate black ops 4 with all my heart, after Cold War came out (a game I didn’t like at all) decided to buy all the DLCs and do all the EEs and it’s definitely my 4th favourite zombies.
sorry, but i would rank WAW much higher. For every negative you listed, there are atleast 3 positive things you could also mention. (also sprinting zombies on Verrukt was a not a negative, as it makes it one of the most challenging maps even till this day.) Its map to map progression in terms of weapons, design, perk system etc was pretty incredible considering the resources available at the time, and i would probably rank it in the top 4 even if it has obviously dated quite a bit.
@killerqueen3391 no shot would I rather play any map on WAW right now today, over IX, AE, and Zombies in Spaceland. Like Tim was saying, those maps just don't hold up today compared to the masterpieces we have now.
When I bought BO3, all I intended on getting was the original version that only had SOE on it, but Amazon messed up in the best way and accidentally sent me the gold edition which came with Der Eisendrache. It remains my favorite map for its wonder weapons, the boss zombies, the story and so much more, as well as the fact I got it for free thanks to Amazon messing up.
Here’s a hot take: I think Bo2 zombies is the best base zombies experience. Now hear me out, I absolutely love classic zombies and I have fun with newer and non-Treyarch titles, but I personally don’t like Bo3’s maps as much as others would. In my opinion, the maps and story became pretty complex in a way I personally just don’t understand as much. I think Bo3’s maps were good, but I liked Bo2’s because it captured a classic experience with multiple different methods like Tranzit, Die Rise, and buried taking a more easier and simpler experience and Mob and Origins taking a more complex approach. Bo3 really sold me with custom zombies though and I still play it to this day, but in my opinion, bo2 had the best vanilla maps.
This is actually the best take. Perfect. Bo3 maps always just felt like something was missing and the colors were too bright. Bo2 maps and colors felt like they were real places, things that could have happened in real life. This mixed with how much praise bo3 always has and still does get put it as one of the worst zombies experiences to date, only being beaten by MWZ and Vanguard.
IW should be above Cold War Cold War had zero personality, zero difficulty and only 4 maps that all feel too similar. Bro this is the PEFECT video mannn always loved your content and im glad your standing your ground and defending old zombies
I would argue bo4 is way better than cold war in every aspect besides the gameplay. That doesn't mean the bo4 gameplay is bad per say it's good enough to be enjoyable. Better maps, more maps, more overall uniqueness and quality. A crew, more love I honestly can't understand how someone could think cold war zombies is better than bo4. Cold war zombies is soul less for obvious reasons.
@@HansWalter-z6c you gotta keep in mind that bo4 got such a negative reaction from the fanbase, and a lot of casual players just believe whatever their favorite youtuber says. But then people started to realize its actually not a bad game at all. I like how Tim assures the viewers every ranking why he’s being objective like they’re a rabid pack of gorillas ready to tear him apart at the slightest disagreement in rank
The story arc of bo1 reminds me of this character from madmen. This old lady who died and roger sterling says something like “she was born in a barn and died in a skyscraper” kinda like how bo1 starts in a dilapidated German theatre and ends on the moon lmao
True but at least it had an identity, while bo4…..well didn’t. While the ending for zombies was great, most of its maps were either fairly average, or bad. I had a much better time playing CW maps than bo4 maps.
@@alonsovenegas4444 you perfectly described cold war’s maps. Fairly average or bad. Bo4 had IX, dead of the night, and ancient evil which are top tier maps. Hell even blood of the dead is better than all the maps on cold war. Not to mention the wonder weapons on bo4 are way more fun to use
@@krustyman5151exactly. I can’t name a single WW from CW. I can remember chaos theory/Alistair’s annihilator, the magmagat, the acidgat, the hellion salvo, and the kraken.
Glad the chaos maps are receiving some recognition. I really enjoyed IX, dead of the night and ancient evil. I always felt those maps in a other game or context had the potential to be really well received by the community
IW needs to be at least in the top 5 and definitely higher than Cold War. IW has almost the same mechanics as Bo3 with added quality of life features such as a fifth perk slot, lost and found, and point sharing with the bank. Not to mention IW has some of the best and most creative boss fights we’ve ever gotten.
Infinite Warefare had 3 of literally the worst zombies maps ever made, if 3/5th of your game is awful, it shouldn’t be high up. Cold Wars maps are all at least okay
I personally would put black ops 4 higher, it isn’t perfect but after seeing what Cold War and Black Ops 6 lacked, makes me appreciate Black Ops 4 more for what it did do. It isn’t perfect from a gameplay perspective and that is the biggest thing dragging it down, but I think it has more personality and theming than later games. It’s just a shame the mechanics weren’t better and Aether story didn’t end better or get more original maps. It also sucks that chaos ended but maybe that isn’t the case given recent lore revelations idk. That said I still have fun playing black ops 4 more than some of the later games. I do agree that I like the Chaos maps more than the Aether maps.
I would say bo4 gameplay is still great not as great as bo3 or cold war but it's still great in its own right. I cannot put cold war over bo4 when the worst map in bo4 is probably better than every cold war map (with exception of mauer).
Now I could just be nit picking which I sure I am... but I think from an objective standpoint some of these titles on this list should've been higher. I feel like there was some bias in some of these picks... Especially with WW2, BO4, and IW. You say objectively, but WW2 objectively has way more content than WAW (im personally comparing it with WAW since it was the next on his list and also in the same setting of WW2)... WW2 fixed shotguns for points (each pellet gives points on shotguns in this game). and the easter eggs are objectively better in WW2 vs WAW cause really... WAW had 1 "Main EE" with Der Riese... you see my point here but - And with BO4 the maps are jam packed with content, i agree with ur points of it not having a good identity - but objectively it has Way more things to do than BO1 or BO2. A lot of people have a sour taste in their mouths with BO4 because of launch, but honestly if u play it now after all it's content is out and most crashes are fixed... its really really good. I also agree that the perk system is Objectively worse. Some people may like the perk system, but lets be real... the perk system is really bad in BO4. But I wouldn't say that it should knock it's place on an Objective List down near the bottom? With IW it's the same situation with BO4 in many ways, the maps literally just have much more content than other titles higher on the list. and to round it all off... isn't more content Objectively better? or am I misinterpreting this. Now obviously quantity doesn't equal quality. But does BO4, IW, and WW2 not scream quality in some departments? And please don't twist my words (some people!), in no way am I spreading hate towards Tim. Love tim's content, I just wanted to get my thoughts out.
@@clipzmma I agree which is why I wrote "Now obviously quantity doesn't equal quality. But does BO4, IW, and WW2 not scream quality in some departments?" I just can't see a point where these games should be placed objectively under titles higher up like BO1 and BO2 when the quality of the maps, level geo, storyline, and characters are quite literally better.
exact same thoughts, Tim is capable of thought but his biases towards specifically WW2 and Bo4 will seemingly never allow him to see these games for what their value actually is
@@ItsNiferright on the money man couldn't have said it better myself, I think WAW should just not be included because it's such an unfair comparison to all other zombie modes.
@@ItsNiferI know this is the most hot take I’ve done, but I’m really tempted to put CW over bo3. I KNOW I KNOW BUT HOLD ON! I think the only reason why people love bo3 is because of the Zombie Chronicles. Now granted Shadows and DE is very good, but the rest are, rather lackluster. Obviously Rev not being a good ending map, not horrible but disappointing. Gorod was nice in terms of boss fights, but everything else seemed tedious. And the other map(can’t think of the name rn), probably has a very slow start and a pretty annoying steps for getting a lot of things in the map. It’s alright in terms of design but not exactly comes in gameplay. With all that, I would argue Bo1 or bo2 be the better ones, with CW and bo6 behind mainly because of the mechanics. I personally love the new points system because it feels so much better gaining the points than previous games. Bo3 is getting carried HARD by 2 good originals with reused older maps. Without Zombies Chronicles, it doesn’t make sense that it would be in 1st. CW and bo6 feel so much nicer than bo3. Again I KNOW, CRAZIEST TAKE EVER, but I honestly have more fun in bo6 and CW than bo3 almost any day. Hell, I sometimes leave the game in bo3 cause I get bored (yes coming from CW is crazy I know). But hey, that’s just I think.
Just let me pay for the maps if that’s what it’s going to take for you to make them actually good. Rather pay 20$ for a map then pay 20$ for a weapon skin that doesn’t look anything like what I bought after I change 1 attachment.

IW is my second favorite zombies game of all time. Bo3 being first in terms of fundamental gameplay and Easter eggs. I’ve played since WaW and solo’s every (possible) Easter egg, and can confidently say IW is wayyyyy underrated by the “community”. Most people never gave the game a chance.
I know it's not main game, but I feel like taking the modding community into consideration with this ranking would make sense. A big part of WaW and BO3 is the modding and mostly why people keep going back to those games now
I always like dead of the night, and I'm glad it seems that people are coming around to it.. i was genuinely surprised to find out the community didn't like it
@xdmemes5821 I've always been a fan of classic monsters, so although I was apprehensive at first, I grew to really like the Werewolf and vampires, and the European mansion atmosphere was really cool
Chronicles 2 wouldn’t make sense on bo6 and they aren’t going to do it entirely different engines how are they gonna spam Russian dude and amalgams on old maps also
@ amalgams don’t have to be on the old maps? Also can’t they just remake the old maps I’m aware some remakes will be gone like shield, and double tap (I’m probably missing some) I wouldn’t say it’s impossible to do tho
You can't just say mod tools aren't allowed. Mod tools keep a game alive. In 10 years time no one will be playing BO6 meanwhile people will still be playing BO3, W@W
I wish a voyage port would be modded into black ops 3, I unironically loved the theme and atmosphere of the map and "drowning" is one of my favorite zombies songs (behind bo1 of course)
the fact that BO3 was made while making ww2 just goes to show how badly activision affected bo4's production. Treyarch was fighting activision to make the game they wanted to make and it shows
I feel like Cold War and Bo6 went for a more arcade style zombies mode rather than the more difficult versions. With the easy feel of it and just how busted you can become.
I never understood the hate for the Revelations ending. I think it was perfect. Not every story needs a happy ending. I liked how it is a cycle we just cant stop. We are doomed to repeat it. Primis goes back in time as these heroes.
You cant put bias aside and I dont know why people keep thinking you can. You are built by your opinions and its impossible to untangle some of the biases we have on some games such as bo3 and bo4. These are video games, y'all are trying to examine art pieces. ITS ART
I really never listened to bo3 story, all i know is it really felt th best. Not too much future, not too much past just enough to keep the OGs and the noobs fresh
black ops 1 zombies imo is basically the black ops 6 to cold war of old school zombies. Its more refined but still very old school especially in gameplay and map design.
At the start of the video I was trying to think what my top 5 would look like. In no particular order it was easily BO1, BO2, BO3 (#1), BO6, and Cold War
I grew up in Cold War, at the time, the whole entire system felt BADASS!!!! It was easy and laid back which is nice at times, but also felt really challenging and the progression so goody! The system of upgrading felt good and the use of using any weapons at spawn felt really customizable and to be able to play your way. The maps were also great with DM being one of the best remakes of all time, Maur being a great map in general, fire base was ok and I think it’s underrated, along with forsaken, the vibes of that map are off the charts. I could go on for hours but I want to sleep so if you have anything you wanna debate, I will in the comments
Modern Zombies feel more like a military low budget short film instead of some random people stranded trying to survive.. if you have access to a chopper gunner then you have access to just flee the area.. what’s the point of hopping down and trying to “survive”?? That’s stupid.
how would you rank them?

Night of the dead is my favorite map in the game, but it’s heavily criticized cuz they just released it out of nowhere(as if it affects how fun the map is lol) and that there’s a ton of steps and buildables , but every nostalgic ridden zombies fan GLAZES origins(gotta be the most overrated map OAT).
Bo4 is my fav as well but I will not take the origins slander
Origins is the goat, but I also love bo4.
Origins is the greatest map of all time, and it's not because of (it was our childhood) I still play it to this day, it is so much fun,
The fanbase are kinda hypocrites lmao.
I use to hate black ops 4 with all my heart, after Cold War came out (a game I didn’t like at all) decided to buy all the DLCs and do all the EEs and it’s definitely my 4th favourite zombies.
why did you say ‘’hey kid want some drugs’’ at walmart
sorry, but i would rank WAW much higher.
Its not top 5. Doesn't beat B03,B01,B02, BO6,BO4 and even IW. And I played it back in 2008.
The maps already challenging goofball.
My problem with WaW is that there's actually nothing to it. It is so unbelievably barebones
@@Braydon2144it beats iw and bo4 easy
@killerqueen3391 no shot would I rather play any map on WAW right now today, over IX, AE, and Zombies in Spaceland. Like Tim was saying, those maps just don't hold up today compared to the masterpieces we have now.
Tim, breakfast, and unemployment is a killer combo
Too much words I can’t read more than 4 until I need to do another whippet
This is actually the best take. Perfect. Bo3 maps always just felt like something was missing and the colors were too bright. Bo2 maps and colors felt like they were real places, things that could have happened in real life. This mixed with how much praise bo3 always has and still does get put it as one of the worst zombies experiences to date, only being beaten by MWZ and Vanguard.
I agree because while every map isn't great, (mob and origins are amazing, especially origins), they can be a blast if played right
IW should be above Cold War
Cold War had zero personality, zero difficulty and only 4 maps that all feel too similar.
Its the opposite for cold war, everyone was hyped and excited when it released, but as time went on people realized how mediocre it is.
I like how Tim assures the viewers every ranking why he’s being objective like they’re a rabid pack of gorillas ready to tear him apart at the slightest disagreement in rank
32:36 "And that's not even considering custom zombies which is far and away."
PEEFART DUNGEON LOLOL :D
I caught Tim selling Fent at Target.
The story arc of bo1 reminds me of this character from madmen. This old lady who died and roger sterling says something like “she was born in a barn and died in a skyscraper” kinda like how bo1 starts in a dilapidated German theatre and ends on the moon lmao
The only one I disagree with is Cold War over BO4. The personality of Cold War is trying to not fall asleep. Good video as always!
True but at least it had an identity, while bo4…..well didn’t. While the ending for zombies was great, most of its maps were either fairly average, or bad. I had a much better time playing CW maps than bo4 maps.
@@alonsovenegas4444this is such a cap statement.
Bo4 zombies has more identity, more atmosphere and map designs than cold war zombies easily.
My only point of contention is that waw has really good custom maps too and they fix the bugs
Exactly. I'd put it 5th too. It's a mixed bag but it wasn't as painfully mediocre as cw was.
Agreed
@@LucinaMeowmediocre is the perfect word for cw and it's only mediocre due to the gameplay. Everything else is simply bad
Infinite Warefare had 3 of literally the worst zombies maps ever made, if 3/5th of your game is awful, it shouldn’t be high up. Cold Wars maps are all at least okay
@@Rose-ew7bv bro forgot about aw and vanguard
I also like the chaos maps more than the Aether maps, All of them were good-Amazing while classified was the only solid aether map in that game
I would say bo4 gameplay is still great not as great as bo3 or cold war but it's still great in its own right.
I cannot put cold war over bo4 when the worst map in bo4 is probably better than every cold war map (with exception of mauer).
Honestly, I was expecting 3rd and second to be flipped, for Die Rise alone lol
Tim smoking crack putting WaW at 8.
WAW had 1 "Main EE" with Der Riese... you see my point here but -
And with BO4 the maps are jam packed with content, i agree with ur points of it not having a good identity - but objectively it has Way more things to do than BO1 or BO2.
Just cause something has more content doesn’t mean it’s better the content has to be good
@@clipzmma I agree which is why I wrote "Now obviously quantity doesn't equal quality. But does BO4, IW, and WW2 not scream quality in some departments?"
I just can't see a point where these games should be placed objectively under titles higher up like BO1 and BO2 when the quality of the maps, level geo, storyline, and characters are quite literally better.
exact same thoughts, Tim is capable of thought but his biases towards specifically WW2 and Bo4 will seemingly never allow him to see these games for what their value actually is
@@ItsNiferright on the money man couldn't have said it better myself, I think WAW should just not be included because it's such an unfair comparison to all other zombie modes.
Cold War over infinite warfare is diabolical
Here’s my rank
12. Vanguard
11. MWZ
10. WW2
9. Bo4 Zombies
8. IW Zombies
7. Advanced Warfare Zombies
6. Cold War Zombies
5. Bo6 Zombies
4. WaW
3. Bo1
2. Bo3
1. Bo2
You know ball. I got the same exact top 5
Just let me pay for the maps if that’s what it’s going to take for you to make them actually good. Rather pay 20$ for a map then pay 20$ for a weapon skin that doesn’t look anything like what I bought after I change 1 attachment.
I was telling my friend the other day. If you look at CW the way it is supposed to be looked at. It wasn’t made for OGs but new players and I loved it for that
I love that Tim is actually being fair to BO4 and chaos. I totally agree that it was highly underrated.
Great video. Will be looking forward for an update to the list once the rest of bo6 maps are out.
But it canot be moved anyway its never gona be beter than bo1 bo2 and bo3 but ita already better than eweryting else so its gona stay there.
@@killerqueen3391it can definitely be better than BO1.

Hey Tim were ready to rank all the maps and here's my Zombies Games Ranking
1. Black ops 3
2. Black ops 1
3. Black Ops 2
4. Black ops 6
5. Black ops Cold war
6. World at War
7. Infinite Warfare
8. Advanced warfare
9. Black Ops 4
10. World war 2
11. Extinction
12. Modern Warfare 3
13. Vanguard
Good list but AW ower BO4 no way
Putting bo6 on the list makes no sense as the cycle is not complete yet 😕
@killerqueen3391 i mean there's 3 Good Maps like Outbreak Carrier and Descent i like those Maps but Infection hurt this Game much
I put ghost's extinction mode over CW that shit is underrated asf bc zombies was almost at its peak at the time. An extinction sequal would be better than modern zombies by far easily
@@JohnDoe-ou7mqI mean it's got three maps and they are already way better than majority of the other zombies so honestly 4th for bo6 is about right
0:38 Yes Tim "Recently"
God I love it when a no bs zombies youtuber uploads.
Tim is ready for war
Tim can’t help himself with the vibrancy
Infinite Warfare is mind blowingly underrated, and it’s my personal favorite out of the bunch. The vibe is just unmatched
This list is very solid... I agree with you on this list
BO3 mechanics are just so perfect for me. It feels the best of them all and I haven't enjoyed a zombies to the degree I did BO3 since then
perfect list as are most of your lists, the only I would change is CW's and BO6's places
it’s annoying seeing people comment how you’re “unoriginal” or “running out of ideas”. it’s not like he’s the same person he was when he first made these videos, he’s grown as a person and content creator and thoughts and opinions change as someone grows. keep up the good work tim
Are people even saying that?
@ on this video and a lot of his recent videos where he redos videos he’s already done like 5 years ago or something like that
Goated list
this video was such a good video man i miss this style from time to time
Papa Tim coming in clutch for another great video
Was wondering what I was gonna watch during my cardio then Tim posted🙏🙏
Tim I honestly agree with the bo3 ranking and the list
I have been a follower sense 2020 and honestly enjoy this videos
IW is my second favorite zombies game of all time. Bo3 being first in terms of fundamental gameplay and Easter eggs. I’ve played since WaW and solo’s every (possible) Easter egg, and can confidently say IW is wayyyyy underrated by the “community”. Most people never gave the game a chance.
I know it's not main game, but I feel like taking the modding community into consideration with this ranking would make sense. A big part of WaW and BO3 is the modding and mostly why people keep going back to those games now
R.I.P. Paul Reubens. Thanks for being Willard Wyler in Call of duty: IW and for being Peewee Herman
Tim you've done this type of video a million times
I really love how impossibly difficult AW zombies is, that for me, puts it up in the top 5
I always like dead of the night, and I'm glad it seems that people are coming around to it.. i was genuinely surprised to find out the community didn't like it
It’s such a cool and unique vibe and the ee is fun asf
@xdmemes5821 I've always been a fan of classic monsters, so although I was apprehensive at first, I grew to really like the Werewolf and vampires, and the European mansion atmosphere was really cool
Tim if you really wanted, you could totally make asmr videos. Your voice is very calming and makes me fall asleep at times
if black ops 6 gets chronicles 2 (which i hope it does) will it beat bo3 (mod tools not allowed)
Transit remastered would be kinda cool
Chronicles 2 would be shit in bo6 it needs to be on bo7 as its comfirmed to be a bo2 sequel but they need to go back to basic formula to be any fun
Tim changing his mind on voyage and dotn was a plot twist i wasnt ready for
1. BO3
...
2. BO6
3. BO2
4. CW (Including Outbreak)
5. BO4
6. BO1
7. IW
8. WAW
9. MWZ
10. WW2
11. AW (Exo)
I refuse to acknowledge your existence: Vanguard
Nah Gorod is top 5, I mean I personally have it as my 4th favorite just over Mob.
No hate, but me personally mob is 2 and origins is 1 and origins is far and away better then any map ever
@josephdickinson5183 oh 100% Origins is the greatest map of all time. My top 5 are Origins, Shadows, DE, GK and Mob.
Gotta be my favorite zombies content
I wish a voyage port would be modded into black ops 3, I unironically loved the theme and atmosphere of the map and "drowning" is one of my favorite zombies songs (behind bo1 of course)
I would personally have the list
- vanguard
- MW3
-AW
-WW2
- Cold War
-bo6
-infinite warfare
- WaW
-bo4
-bo2
-bo1
-bo3
the fact that BO3 was made while making ww2 just goes to show how badly activision affected bo4's production. Treyarch was fighting activision to make the game they wanted to make and it shows
These are my fav pls make more
I feel like Cold War and Bo6 went for a more arcade style zombies mode rather than the more difficult versions. With the easy feel of it and just how busted you can become.
I never understood the hate for the Revelations ending. I think it was perfect. Not every story needs a happy ending. I liked how it is a cycle we just cant stop. We are doomed to repeat it. Primis goes back in time as these heroes.
I would love to see a ranking every map video again plz
Yo tim this is a very valid list 💯💯
You cant put bias aside and I dont know why people keep thinking you can. You are built by your opinions and its impossible to untangle some of the biases we have on some games such as bo3 and bo4. These are video games, y'all are trying to examine art pieces. ITS ART
I really never listened to bo3 story, all i know is it really felt th best. Not too much future, not too much past just enough to keep the OGs and the noobs fresh
Every thing is subjective especially when it comes to ranking zombies
The man the myth
black ops 1 zombies imo is basically the black ops 6 to cold war of old school zombies. Its more refined but still very old school especially in gameplay and map design.
At the start of the video I was trying to think what my top 5 would look like. In no particular order it was easily BO1, BO2, BO3 (#1), BO6, and Cold War
Before getting to the end of the video, we all know what comes in at number one
Custom zombies makes bo3 untouchable
Goated video
i love you time like fr. you always make my fay
W list
Chaos is goated
Bro I love cod zombies
I grew up in Cold War, at the time, the whole entire system felt BADASS!!!! It was easy and laid back which is nice at times, but also felt really challenging and the progression so goody! The system of upgrading felt good and the use of using any weapons at spawn felt really customizable and to be able to play your way. The maps were also great with DM being one of the best remakes of all time, Maur being a great map in general, fire base was ok and I think it’s underrated, along with forsaken, the vibes of that map are off the charts. I could go on for hours but I want to sleep so if you have anything you wanna debate, I will in the comments
After tim sold me fent at target. He told me he secretly likes bo4
love your videos bro thanks for the fent btw
Modern Zombies feel more like a military low budget short film instead of some random people stranded trying to survive.. if you have access to a chopper gunner then you have access to just flee the area.. what’s the point of hopping down and trying to “survive”?? That’s stupid.
Hate to break it to you man but zombies has never made sense, in the old maps could they not have just jumped through the barriers and ran away?
It destroys the atmosphere tbh. It
should feel more isolated
