      What is so honest about him??? Every Indians who travels and does comparative studies on holistic development knows this fact"India has deep systematic problems". However how Nitin Gadkari is establishing infrastructure within 8 years, whole America, China and Western world couldn't do it in 40 years. Secondly his predictions are always wrong and outdated. Thirdly he compares India with small European countries facility and development, India is a massive country who can shift its progress in massive scale.

    • @person1858
      @person1858 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@unmanifested9217The reason europe couldn't do it that fast is because they were the first people ever to do it. Everything was new for them. China learnt lessons from them and by now, infrastructure is old news, everybody knows how its done. Thats why we are able to do it that fast, and co.e up with gati shakti and national logistics scheme and all this. Trouble is, while some aspects of development have been fast-tracked in India, others have been too slow to catch up. Why do you think we're such a dirty country? Because plastics developed very quickly in India, government regulatory mechanisms, waste disposal, and recycling infrastructure are still crap. Others did it slowly, but their governments kept up in terms of regulating things. Our government needs to do 200 years of British development in the next 30-60 years. No government, however well intentioned, however brilliant, can stay on top of this amount of change in this short a time period.

Thats why I have so much respect for Abhijit Iyer Mitra, THANK YOUUUUU Raj Samani for bringing him and having such a discussion with some good depth, PLEASE DO BRING HIM MOREEE IN FUTURE, he discloses so many perspectives as for ages we Indians have been made to look to just the light without seeing the real ground serious reasons of the darkness we are living in. India needs mainstream information provider to be someone like Abhijit, as he is one of those few who speaks of things in depth. Also agree to Raj samani on this 53:36 & 1:00:20, but this 1:02:53 is JUST SOOOOO TRUEEEEE, ON POINT 💯, the mass has become so jhalli on only hearing slogans , and some socalled perception of the leaders. It was an eye opener. Thank you for talking to Abhijit into so much depth. He is a genius. He was so right about the basics of industrial growth. I believe we need to focus on these aspects. Yes, India's service sector is growing but it's not enough. We need a lot more to become an industrial power house.
    It is important that leaders from the business start leading our country. We can't shoe away the subsidy system as 45% of our country is still malnourished. But we need to find answers to these questions. We need to find them quick. It's time we play on the front foot.

    57:00 Abhijit, I think Indians adjust very well with any language. In 2000s, I had 3-4 people in my medical college in Karnataka who were from very backward villages in Rajasthan who had studied in Hindi medium and cracked All India Pre Medical/Pre-Dental Examination (colloquially called CBSE-PMT) and landed in a medical college in Karnataka (just FYI, they even took the CBSE-PMT exam in Hindi). They could not even write a sentence in English and suddenly their medium of instruction became English. They went through hell but all of them managed to pass. One of them is a doctor in the United States today. Another is a surgeon in Jaipur. Poor people have this amazing ability to strive, thrive and leapfrog. I don’t think they require 3 generations to overcome malnutrition and stunting (at least, not mental stunting).

    There is a lot of difference. The current leadership in Delhi is having a conversation with the rural folks and youth (man ki baat, political rallys from North east to South) & that is what changes mindsets. When people see a leader who is optimistic, they also feel optimistic. When the mind changes, the body can jump higher. India is not playing in the offensive. From 1947 to 2013 they were playing in the defensive because of vested interests. All the earlier leaderships in Delhi from 1947 were not able to achieve what the leadership in Delhi has done since 2014. Jan Dhan accounts was the clincher. It eliminated the entire middleman ecosystem. I wish Abhijit has mentioned just one or two positive achievements, but I don't blame him. He has been raised in a bureaucratic set-up so his sub-conscious mind works on historical data from 1947 to 2013. Raj is the Gen Z and Millennial thinker and that is the voice that will shape then next 30 yrs.
    Can you imaging an Indian railway ministry 30 yrs ago that would have implemented a Vande Bharat train? That is the sign for change that we should look for.

    Ambani, Mahindra , and garib bhikhari analogy to explain India's role in Russia-Ukraine conflict.
    Superbly done. Explained in such a manner that any tier 4 5 city, village person can understand(aka The stunted population :p)
    =====
    Between 15 and 20 mins mark, Raj brings up 3 ways to get power
    1. Encroachment (Russia currently IMO)
    2. Debt Cycle (China IMO)
    3. Mind-space (Pop Culture, US/western world)
    ======
    Shocking brand new information
    Around 20:00 Parsi, Jews and Hindus were profiting from Opium trade.
    ======
    Between 22:00 to 24:27
    China’s dynamic with Pakistan beautifully explained
    =======
    Projection about India:
    In 2021, >$35000 household income,only 5Mil Family
    In 2030, same criteria, 25Mil Family
    More consumption power, more money
    Only viable option is India for FDI for the world.
    ======
    Macro Problems of India
    - Regulatory, tax mechanism are in shambles.
    - Most productive part of the population is the most heavily taxed part of the population.
    - No incentive to going up the ladder; and make more money.
    - Most unproductive part, most subsidy is applied there. (Farming IMO)
    - Fiscally irresponsible, No upper limit on subsidies like EU states.
    - Police to Population so low, also low quality
    - Malnourished 45%, 33% stunting, cognitive stunting too.
    - Yearning power >> Earning power

    Why the current generation doesn't want to understand that we want balance all the three sector of an economy
    1.agriculture is imp for food
    2.manufacuring sector for final product
    3.service sector for giving services
    India main problem is not gdp india main problem is income inequality
    Whole capitalism is going to transfer in socialism
    As per economic cycle move

    First time on this channel.
    First time saw Abhijit challenged succesfully.
    Dear Abhijit ' Modi hai to mumkin hai' . 13.5 crore Indians came out of poverty in last 9 years .Basic facilities like food,road,water,sanitation etc are available to almost all Indians.
    There is remarkable improvement in infra,communication,railways,aviaton etc.
    You may be pessimistic,may be because of intellectual necessity but whole of India is bubbling with confidence.
    For the first time we have accelerated alround growth .
    The minimum you can agree to is " India is a work in progress" .

    It was fantastic! I personally love listening and reading to Geopolitics and India specific issues., And it was a treat specially because the way Abhijit explained it, from the very ground level. Also, it was super fun to listen to Raj's counter optimist approach, really learned a thing or two there. One request, please bring Abhijit Chavda too on this podcast. He is almost as good as AIM

    • @rka-truthalwayswins5127
      @rka-truthalwayswins5127 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Abhijit Chavda bases his analysis on evidence unlike AIM with half truths & partial analysis like:
      1. Hindus along with Parsis forced British to wage war for opium sale to China!!
      2. India should adjust on POK with Pakistan: He doesn't consider that Pak has already stolen Indian lands without any exchange of the separatist population!!
      3. He says EU imposes strict budget deficit limits unlike Indian states without knowing that most EU states rarely follow those limits!
      All in all, he is as much a Ghonchu as he claims Indians to be!

    • @LapisPhilosophorum222
      @LapisPhilosophorum222 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Your second analysis is spot on. But can you elaborate on the Opium issue? I too feel that Abhijit said that willy-nilly. Because the British even fought the Chinese for this issue and the ((Opium wars)) took place.
      In the history of mankind, *never* have I ever come across the colonizer/oppressor waging wars for the benefit of their servants. Han, *IF* lets suppose -- the business class of India at that time benefitted somehow -- they must've fed on meagre crumbs left by the British. @@rka-truthalwayswins5127
      And in the second Opium war, the French and the English were allied against China. Did the French give their "dirty money" to these alleged Indian businessmen too? The French never had a hold on Bombay or other Parsi community-centric regions-- to get involved and fight their wars for them.

    Good one Raj, your argument on the basis of optimism is exactly what we need at this moment. We Indians are known for being hard core critics, pessimistic and always asking question type of people. Its time that we change our attitude and approach. Every country has its own problems, but they all grow on some foundation and we will grow on optimism and hope as one of the foundations.

    Basic infrastructure of INDIA
    Analogy: -
    Let’s say that INDIA is a wall, which keeps on becoming taller AND taller. Now to support the height and weight, the foundation should be strong. Either you reinforce the foundation at the bottom or make the entire wall wide w.r.t height. The problem is at the top of the walls, the rate at which the wall is being built is way faster that the rate at which the foundation is being strengthened. Due to enormous weight/loads, cracks will start to appear before we get the base strengthened.
    Top of the wall - the Face of INDIA shown to others. (Outer cover of the book).
    Foundation - the society within INDIA. (Content of the book).

    Abhijeet congratulations your Hindi is getting better, and so is your fanbase.😊
    I loved a few points mentioned by you :
    1) The rise of notable Bombay families due to the Opium (अफीम) trade.
    2) The example of malnourished construction workers (I have without exception seen only Pissfuls monopolize this field) and the tendency of the underdeveloped brains more prone to violence (again a monopoly of the Pissfuls)
    3) i totally disagree with you about the point that if a farmer's kid studies (in any regional language) he is not gaining anything useful. No matter how "useless his education, he has a choice of either pursuing his father's trade, or getting a job out of his village!
    Your examples about Ambani and the भिकारी is unorthodox but drives a point home like none other😂😂😂😂
