There are loads of interesting stories from not just where we live but in almost every town and village in the UK. Whilst many dont have happy endings, we just want to remember those involved by retelling their stories.

I found this after finding your article about it shortly after talking to a colleague about Alice’s story. I found out many years ago that Alice was a distant relative. There is an original copy of the newspaper cutting from the time still in the family which was really interesting to see.

This is a story we have planned to cover in video format sometime this year. We know where her grave is thanks to Friends of Old Blackburn Cemetery and it would be nice to revisit the story and to pay or respects again.

A love story gone wrong. She rejected him and he couldn't take it, so he murders her. Poor Alice had her life cut short. So Arthur had to pay for what he did to her. At least Justice was done. Thanks for sharing 👍👍

This is a story we are planning to film and to visit the mill and other locations in Blackburn where it all took place. We have visited Alice's grave in the past, but alas, there is no headstone or marker to say she is there.
