These guys make so many cool designs thay make me think, "wait, how has nobody done this?" Everything from the most unique klone on the market, to gated fuzz with an overdrive blend instead of clean blend, all the way to stereo modulated filters, reverse delays, and all sorts of funky stuff. I adore my alpha haunt v2, and I'm sure this kicks ass too
Great to see OBNE getting on-board with the signal blending thing! Would've loved to see a few more additional features like filters or feedback, besides just mixing, but at this price range this seems like a great entry-level blender. With KMA's "Tyler, the Frequency Splitter" and VFE's "Klein Bottle" I'm pretty much settled already in this regard, but for everyone doubting; these things are soooo fun to play with! They can breathe new life into many pedals, and create truly unique soundscapes!
Hey man, nice video. Please, this pedal can handle a valve preamp signal? My idea is putting it at effects loop of my JCM800 alike amp. Best regards...
What would happen if you would cross-connect send A to return B and send B to return A? Any mixing tricks to be achieved like that? Create a feedback loop in a way?
If my venues front-of-house is mono only, and I’m using an line 6 HX stomp (modeler), would this pedal be helpful? Or is this pedal at it’s best with wet/dry type setups?
If I wanted to use something like a Sun Face or similar fuzz, in parallel with a slightly dirty boost, is it safe to say there's a buffer in front of the fuzz that might impact the tone of the fuzz? I have the Alpha Haunt, and it doesn't seem to care about having buffers before it, but other fuzzes are more sensitive to it. Also I love the Alpha Haunt, and my Flat Light
Hey Dan, I'm trying to understand the milliamps out on this pedal. (I have two on a large pedal board and both are powered by 100 milliamp isolated power. I understand they run at 30 milliamps. if they send power out to another pedal, (like in my particular example) does that mean 70 milliamps are in reserve for another pedal? I absolutely think this pedal is a game changer!
Try the Ojai from Strymon to power your pedals. It works great with keyboards. Lets you power them more without the signal getting too hot and fuzzy. So glad i got one.
I'm wandering if I can use it as follow: as a "stereo splitter" (I don't know if it's a thing) for a stereo pedal I want to run in parallel but in stereo... does the "main" in-out plugs are stereo or mono?
For 3-to-1 configuration, insert the three instruments into the Input (clean), Return A, and Return B jacks. Those three inputs are summed to the output jack; mix to taste.
Ordered mine today. Whicked jazzed! I'm going to ambient so hard that I unmelt all the faces that metal has melted since metal has melted said faces. Thank you old noise! Your moms must have done something right in your upbringing.
@@oldbloodnoise dans amazing we need more dan reviews this video actually encouraged me to buy the signal blender!go on dad!..and trash monster keep it real man.
Great demo, thanks! One question though: Is the "Clean" footswitch and pot just a boost for the clean signal? Or can you actually mute the clean signal with it, i.e. take it out of the summing to hear the blended wet signals only (if using as a parallel mixer, that is)?
“To any or all of these amps” I’ve ended up here cause I’m trying to figure out how I could swap a audio looper signal / guitar signal between two amps... So I’ll just keep writing in hope someone can help me think 😂 Situation I find myself in example: The ditto for paired with an ABY being fed by an instrument going into two amps. Two options I’m aware of but do not do what I want. 1. Ditto before ABY / either or both amp 2. Ditto after one of the ABY outputs into one amp, can send instrument to either or both but loop is stuck playing in one. I want something that can separate the audio loop signal and guitar over the top, then be able to to swap either separately between two amps. I dunno why but I’m imagining with this device* and I could probably be wrong but hopefully explains my thinking. I could have instrument (guitar) > AB switch (a) > input signal blender AB switch (b) > ditto looper > return of a looper in signal blender. Then somehow some way, be able to send a recorded loop to one of two amps or both Then play live guitar into one or two amps or both.... Am I mad? Have I come to the right place? 😂 Thank you to whoever understands this!
Old Blood Noise Endeavors hey - awesome! After this comment realised it’s also possible with 5 ABY switches and lots of cables! Not very Practical, Signal Blender on the list 🙏
Cheap buffers? I have two of them. If you put two of them in serial you lose hip lots of volume. If you use one alone. The lost of volumen is not so bad. Maybe not the worst of its kind but for the money i couldn t recomend it. Old blood noise could over work that thing and fix that issue. That would be sweet . Cheers big ears
@@oldbloodnoise maybe make something simulare like a signal blend V1.2. But you make it so that if you put two of them in serial that the volumen lost is not so drastic. Perhaps you need just a buffer on off switch. So it is maybe posible to make it true bypass. I dont know anithing about electronix so i can just talk about that problem but could not give you a solution. For that you need more know how than an major and minor skale. I ply bass. And compare to other players i love pedals. I run 30 at the moment. I thougt the modulation section would be nice to run parallel. Njoy and keep rocking . @@kaylons well , i got EHX products and i never had issues with them , but nothing is really perfect and it is possible to have a bad unit ,just send it back to the factory to have it fixed
From what I have read, the locking up and squealing was not one defective unit but a design or assembly flaw that affected many units. This has since been corrected by EHX but beware buying a used Tri Parallel.
With a stereo guitar amp setup, this can solve phasing problems!!! Noice! I can also run a small amount of delay to b, and wet dry effects???? Shut up and take my money.
So it turns out this is not the pedal I’ve been looking for, but it also turns out this is the TH-cam video I’ve been searching for my whole life.
That's fabulous to hear

Thanks Brian
This pedal alone expands tenfold your creative possibilities. It will be the next tool in my pedalboard.
One of the best pedal reviews ever seen! Dan is great!
First: Why should I need THIS ???
Then: I WANT it !!!
This is brilliant. I have a signal chain I like to use both for my electric guitar and analog synths. This is a god send.

That's the ticket
Great idea but the jacks are way too close together.
Can the 3 outputs of the Beam Splitter go into this and then out to the inputs of a 2-channel audio interface?
Are the volume knobs on the send or on the return? And the footswitches?
Love the demo btw!!
Excellent question, the volume controls the Return volumes of channels A & B.
