Thanks for the video! One question, is "delay mashing" here the same thing as fuzzy mashing?

In my experience, the way pressure works in Unist is the hardest thing to teach a beginner. I can't say this video does a good job at it.
It feels riddled with obsolete, erroneous or confusing terminology, on top of some nonsensical phrasing. It doesn't even address what I think are crucial points when it comes to understanding how basic offense should be organized. It's very vague then suddenly weirdly specific.
    This should be improved!

If you could go in depth in what you mean I could improve it somehow. However, I need to clarify that I didnt make this video targeting beginners specifically. This video is guided more towards low-mid level to high-mid level players.

@@MoSin0 Taking a look right now!
0:08 - "conditioning in Unist is baiting an opponent to mash or not"
not only! you can also condition someone to tech, jump, shield... also, what's a mash? mash jab? mash normal? mash reversal?
0:20 - "it's ideal to use a normal with good stagger window"
what's a stagger window? google couldn't help me. stagger is one of those words i feel FG players have vastly different definitions for.
well, let's assume a "good stagger window" just means the opponent will be out of hitstun for a few frames between the moves.
0:20- "the move has to be safe on block"
well, or it could be cancellable...
0:54- "normals that opponent disrespected and got punished"
this is a little hard to understand. if the opponent is committed to blocking you can pretty much use any normal any way...
      0:54 "big stagger"
what's big stagger... is it good frame advantage?
1:17 "resetting pressure has big gaps so it's unsafe"
not always, depending on your character, spacing, resources, yadda yadda
1:17 "reset using throw" 1:41 "throw reset"
what's that... just say "throw", please, or "dash throw"
throw doesn't reset pressure. it ENDS pressure! it's the conclusion of your pressure!
dash 2A does reset pressure because it lets you press more buttons on block
i'm not convinced teaching dash throw only will help people... anyone learning from this video will try this in a match and notice their opponent tech or 1AD
      they need a mixup.
dash throw is pretty good when it comes to beating shields though- but you never mention shields even though working around them is crucial in pressure
      2:02: "delay mash"
delay mash is horrible terminology for "wait for a few frames then press a button"
      2:02 "2 > delay mash > 1/3"
      is incredibly confusing and alien
2:37 "theses options rely on the fact that the normal used before has a good stagger and is safe on block (less minus)"
this is incredibly confusing again. is (less minus) supposed to be a definition for "safe on block"?
      3:05 onwards
this is NOT what whiff punishing means! also the wording is hard to understand
you never talk about assault, resources, shields, specials, trm, OS or other stuff that's really important to know for pressure
you don't always show your inputs on the training mode footage
It wouldn't be so bad if you didn't make the video sound like it has everything you need to know about pressure.
title: Unist pressure - four steps
"the 4 steps of pressure are as follows"
=> really makes you feel like it's exhaustive when it isn't
And that's all I see for now.
      Now I sleep byebye

Before I adress each point I need to remind you that this video was made for people familiar with Unist terms and mechanics at a basic level (mid-level players). I can clearly tell you went into this video especting a beginners guide to pressure.
In Unist, predominantly on defense, baiting an opponent to mash a normal is the mind-game during your offence. This juxtaposes to other fighting games where pressure is generally blockstring into 50/50 mixups.
Im surprised you dont know what a stagger window is and know phrases like trm or OS.
th-cam.com/video/OVlGyDHSdMc/w-d-xo.html Heres a video for you to understand it or for anyone else wondering which is clearly orientated towards a beginner level!
"Big stagger" is using a normal with a big stagger window yet again my target audience of mid level players would understand these terms.
When resetting pressure, in hindsight, I should have involved the fact that rebeat is another form of resetting pressure with some exceptions. I.e mika 5[c], hyde 5[c] and wagner 6b 2a 5b which is basically still her turn. This was an oversight that I didnt put in.
On the other hand, involving meter usually counts as another exception to carry on pressure and reset. Most the time you use 100 meter with some characters to extend pressure safely.
Thats a good point about saying dash throw instead of "throw reset" ill use that from now on.
Yet again this short video is not here to teach throw mixup just a basic structure to base your offence. This video is meant to structure your stagger pressure effectively with whatever character your playing not to go in depth on every option.
Delay mash is very easy to understand. Someone on defense chooses to mash a normal delayed rather than straight away hence the word "delay".
You make a good point with the numbers seeming alien, I should have made it clear with multiple reminders of the numbers relating to each step and stated that I would use them as numbers: thanks.
Yes, being "safe" is another way of saying less minus they are synonymous. If you are -2 then that is safe which is less minus than lets say -8 but ofcourse it depends on distance and hitbox retraction with certain normals.
This is exactly what whiff punishing is. Punishing a normal during recovery frames is a whiff punish I dont understand this statement at all.
For the topic of assault, OS trm, shield and etc this video is clearly not for all of these things. I think you were expecting a 30 minute video to describe every single aspect of pressure whilst explaining unist terms for beginners.
In reality, this is a simple 4 minute video to help mid-level players who are struggling in structuring stagger pressure in general. I will take that as my bad for titeling this like its a total guide for pressure.
However, this wasnt my intention. There is no way I would be foolish to make a guide for all the pressure in this game in 4 minutes.
I will rename this title and keep in mind about these points in my next video.
      Thanks for the feedback Vincent.

no video can teach you how to do pressure. It's something that you have to learn yourself. This video just explains how it works.
