@@Freddan9700 yes absolutely. But make sure to try something with similar power but with a different seating position too. The Vitpilen has you leaned forwards a lot. Since you're comign from dirtbikes you maybe feel more at home with upright bikes. Like a Z400 or CB300R

I've owned one for a year now, it's a really divisive bike, some love it, others hate it, but it's really a little bomb on the road, light and really nimble. I will admit that the sound is really unflattering it's true But given the circumstances, expensive fuel, frequent speed checks, a larger cylinder bike becomes difficult to envisage I'd rather go fast with a small bike than slow with a big one I would like to try a 701 one day to see if the power difference is worth the investment! As always great driving and fantastic landscapes
Compared to the little Honda ... The displacement is similar. But the pc26 engine still has noticeably more willpower in it. Even in its late twenties. The suspension and quality may be great, but I still dont get the idea of putting a single into a decent road bike. It’s not the power. Not the wide powerband. Not the sound. Not the comfort. Not the economy. Then what the hell is it? (Having never ridden one) Maybe I’m just a little too down-to-earth ... I’m not the one for abstract arts.
well, the CB500 has more than a 100ccs more. Which is a lot in the "small" class. Plus the Vitpilen does great when ridden hard, as long as the road is not completely fucked up. But yes indeed, other than that, the main reason to buy it is looks

Ich habe die Svartpilen und muss sagen die größte Stärke der 401er Huskys sind Kurvenreiche Landstraßen, ab 120 wird es dann schon relativ zäh und als Stadtbike eher weil sie ein echter Hingucker ist ;) Finde das Getriebe/Motor sind um im Stadtverkehr mitzuschwimmen nicht optimal, vor allem muss der Motor richtig warm sein damit er sich gut anfühlt und gut klingt. Ich bin dennoch sehr zufrieden obwohl ich hauptsächlich in der Stadt fahre :)

Yay for the design, Nay for the price! I know, I know, one should not have the blunt ignorance to blindly say "Nay" to _any_ bike, but still, I can't get my mind off of the fact that it is a very well designed yet --in the end-- an Indian made Duke. It all boils down to the preference of how much one would like to pay extra for a good design and a couple of tuning here and there.. And, I _myself_ have a Duke 390, so, go figure that.

Riding position is way different ( seat and handlebar)... The tires are also very different. Although the engine and chassis are the same, the vitpilen is almost a cafe racer and the svartpilen is almost a scrambler...
ich finde die Kleine ja noch recht toll :D Und der Sound für ne 390er ist ja auch voll in Ordnung! Nicht, dass das ein Kaufargument wäre aber rein aus Interesse: Säuft die viel bei dem Fahrstil? Grüsse und wiedermal geiles Video!
Real talk: Why would anyone get this over the ninja400 or Z400 as an A2 bike? The KTM 390 engine also has a long history of nasty failures, which I doubt have all been dealt with. The kawasaki 400 range seems to have everything improved over the KTM390 range, power, reliability, suspension, brakes, price(?), comfort, touring capability, maintenance intervals.
@@LigerZero1985 I think your comment didn't make too much sense because obviously bikes with ~700cc and lots more horses would do this stretch of road in a different (more relaxed) manner. Of course a 400cc engine only making 44bhp has to work hard here.

@kopasznyaku - I think singles are fun because you can wring them out without braking land speed records and they're light, torquey and cheap.

The duke 390 and 401 have the same engine so it’s very much down to your preferred styling and rider comfort.

Hab ne Duke 690 un die braucht bei gelegentlich ähnlicher Fahrweise auch nur max 4,5l Ich denke die 401er wird eher noch n bisschen weniger brauchen.
